Our mate Guy S is selling one of his wonderful big-bore Triumph racers for £7995.
It's Christmas, treat yourself.
The bike is located in Oxfordshire, UK. It's a racer not a road bike. Keep it as a racer. Here's what Guy says...
Triumph T120 1970 engine in a VMC frame.
Imported from Ohio in 2014 by me, this bike won the UK DTRA Vintage Class Championship in 2015.
The 650 motor is fitted with a 750 big bore kit and was modified for racing in the US. It has a ported head, racing valve springs, racing cams. It runs a pair of Mikuni carbs, which were new in 2015 replacing the worn Amal mk2s previously fitted. Ignition is an ARD mag, a favourite of US racers because they are very reliable, robust and don't need a battery.
Starting is via a remote 1/2" drive remote start socket on the left hand side crankshaft end. The left primary drive case is a period skinny flattrack item for extra ground clearance (no generator required or fitted). Alternatively starting can be via a roller starter. It starts easily and idles reliably.
The clutch is a 7 plate LP Williams new in 2015.
Stainless exhausts were made in 2015 specifically for this bike by Geoff at Co-Built.
Front forks are Betor in Weiss flat track adjustable yokes. Rear shocks are Ohlins, again new in 2015, piggy back reservoir type with adjustable compression, rebound, ride height and hydraulic preload adjusters.
Wheels are 19" with Excel rims, spool front hub, rear quick change Barnes type hub. Swing arm bushes replaced last year, also front wheel bearings and spindle.
The fibreglass Trackmaster tank and Champion seat unit are very good, and were repainted in red and silver metal flake with a lot of 2k lacquer in early 2016.
The frame was made in 2004 by VMC Racing Frames in Cleveland, Ohio, by Doug Horner. It's oil in frame, made specifically for flattrack racing, and is based on an early 1970s Redline Racing design.
It's a fast, reliable and nice handling bike. It's a race bike, not a show bike, and is being sold as such.
See and read more at Triumph T120 Racebike. The contact details are there too.

Sportster Racer for Sale in UK
This looks like a pukka bit of kit, imported from America, PM 8-spoke back wheel, Supertrapp pipe, flat track triple clamps, Racetech rear shocks (I think), chain drive, Dunlop race rubber; engine stamped race only, so probably from the H-D supported Sportster series than ran from the 80s into the 90s (and maybe even longer).
It looks like it would be great for the 2017 DTRA Hooligan Championship. That will be four rounds with a big trophy at the end and lots of fun in between.
Only one day left on eBay. Not reached its reserve. This sale is nothing to do with us. We don't know the bike or the owner. Buy beware. Thanks to Kev H again for the tip-off. G

Kennedy Racing Selling Up
DTRA racer Mike Fisher read the previous post, where I mentioned Brandon Robinson, saying perhaps he's happy with his team and wouldn't entertain a move to factory Harley (if it was offered, this is all conjecture on my part). Mike then forwarded me a link to vft.org pointing out that the Kennedy team is selling up. Seems like the sport is running a well-run and competitive privateer outfit.
The ad reads... 'Kennedy Racing going out of business sale. 2 750 Kawasakis, one C and J and one J and M. The best of everything. Three XR-750's. Event winners, $25,000 apiece, all fresh and ready to race.' G

More Flat Trackers on UK eBay
eBay hound Kev H keeps sending us links to bikes on sale in the UK. These are for would-be DTRA racers.
One is a ready to race Suzuki 450, the others are a couple of DTRA vintage class compatible bikes that have the air of barn find/ on-going project about them, especially the one with the Can-Am tank. The two Triumphs are being sold by the same bloke who had the Triumph T100C on ice tyres a week or so ago. Looks like he bought a job lot of interesting, affordable vintage racers/projects.

Yamaha XS650 Big Bore For Sale
eBay hound Kev H has found another tracker on UK eBay, this time an XS650 with a 750 big bore. At first I thought it was a race bike, but it has a front brake on the other side and those are 18in rims (with VanVan K180s). Those tyres are fine for the road and make sense. They're ok for the track, but really you want 19in with proper race rubber if you want to compete.

DTX 450 for Sale in UK
We don't know anything about the history of this bike. Thanks to Kev for sharing the link. See it on UK ebay. It only has two days left at the time of posting. This is what the seller says...
I bought this bike approximately 18 months ago from Chichester Honda. I was told that the one previous owner owned a motocross school and he'd only used it during lessons.
I converted it for flat track using a 19 inch SM Pro front wheel and hub. The rear wheel on this 2009 model is also 19 inch. Suspension was prepared by Woody at JWR in Lincolnshire. All the other relevant mods have been applied, for example, a speedway kill switch. The tyres are dtr1 medium compound as you would expect if you race flat track. I only raced this bike 3 times during the last event of the 2015 season but have arttended several (about 10) practice sessions. I'm a qualified motorcycle mechanic, and during all this she's had more than enough oil / filter changes. The only reason I'm selling is due to bigger commitments at work making it difficult to devote the time to racing that I would have wished.

Suzuki DTX on UK eBay
UPDATE: SOLD
I don't know anything about this bike, but it's got the right wheels to go racing and it's £1500 (with a 'make an offer' option). I don't think it would make a very good road bike (that the current owner seems planned for it), but that's just me.
Go to eBay

Rare Bultaco Astro for Sale in UK
Our mate Gareth is selling this. Again, we don't know anything about the condition or history, we're just passing the details on.
Brought over from Colorado approximately 3 years ago where it was raced regularly we are told. A good friend over in CO had agreed to buy the contents of a garage from the mother of a guy who had been killed in a road bike crash. This was his race bike and one of 16 other dirtbikes in the garage. I intended to race it here after giving up supermoto and having taken part in DQ1. That's now not going to happen unfortunately so it's time to move it on even though I love looking at it parked in the garage.
I have spoken to Hugh's Bultaco in the USA and they have seen this bike in photos and reckon it's pretty special. 1972, model 106 - The first of the Astros. The swing arm and yokes (Nortex) are one off race items I believe.
The wheel hubs are Barnes and the rims are original Akront, Borani rims (19" front, 18"rear) the rear having knock off sprocket and disc carrier. Original Pirelli tyres ( worth a bit on their own) in good nick.
The LHS petcock leaks where it meets the fibreglass and will probably be OK with some tank sealant. I have some POR15 which comes with the bike.
The Hurst Airheart rear brake set up works from the bars but could do with new seals and I have spare brand new pads for it.
I have run it and it selects all gears and the clutch is fine. It needs rejetting though as it's very rich. Could do with new chain and has a mahoosive! rear sprocket.
The forks need an overhaul at present with little oil inside. Fork seals readily available for these forks.
The seat is a later style seat and the frame rails have been altered to accommodate.
Electronic ignition with a twin spark CDI.
I have a manual and some other bits for it. I also have the import paperwork (pre NOVA)
It's a lovely bike and needs racing. £2,950 collection only. Cheshire.

Mint Wood Rotax For Sale in UK
UPDATE: SOLD
The Wood Rotax we used as the subject for Sideburn 22's blueprint feature is up for sale on UK eBay. This is what the advert says (it's well worth reading)...
Professionally built by Dale Lineaweaver in the early nineties from new parts. The frame is a Wood Rotax, which has never been stripped, blasted or re-powder coated. The engine is a Ron Wood Rotax, as is the exhaust and bodywork. The bike was built as a street tracker and saw very little use, as it was bump-start only.
These bikes have fast become the choice bike for the DTRA series and for good reason. They’re light, fast and reliable. Jolly good fun. And this is the best preserved example I have ever seen.
I bought the bike two years ago from Goodman Reed in California. I have a huge file and magazine feature from the mid nineties, which explains in detail about the bikes build. The body-work was repainted, by The Paintbox, who also altered the fuel outlet, so that it had quick (dry) release, all on the left, so the tank can be taken off without splitting fuel lines. The round slide carb was swapped for a flat slide, which has been dyno set up. I went through the bike replacing the serviceable items, such as the chain, oil and filter. I also made a few adjustments to make it race ready, such as the MV throttle, which allows slow tick over in the pit lane, then a twist of the tiny choke lever, ups the throttle to prevent stalling in the corners, when I panic brake. I also re-installed the kicker. Bump starting a bike is bad enough, but far worse with a hot shoe on.
The bike comes with all the right parts and is in fantastic unrestored condition, which is unusual for a dirt track bike. I would consider selling without the PM Chicane wheels, because it’s taken 5 years for me to find these.
£7500 Or £6000 without the wheels.
The bike needs nothing but riding, racing and enjoying. I know some ebayers, like to ask crazy questions, so I've taken the liberty of guessing what they might be.
1, Nice bike mate, do you have a buy it now price?
Thank you for your interest and kind words. It's not an auction though, so yes there is a buy it now. Just click the button and it's yours, once you've paid.
2, Can you make a street legal for me? Does it have a log book?
Yes I could and have done it in the past, but I do not want to this time. And no, there is no log book. It's a race bike, but should you wish to ride on the street it's entirely doable.
3, My Grandad had one like that, is it a Harley?
Did he, good. No.
4, Would you take part exchange for a Game boy?
No, even though he sounds like a lot of fun.
5, Can you deliver it to (add where you live here)?
Potentially, but why can't you collect? You're going to need a van or a trailer anyway. Or if you are miles away, then I could arrange transport at cost. But you can find that cost out yourself, can't you? If all this makes me sound jaded, miserable and generally downbeat then I have given you the wrong impression. I am in fact so utterly happy all the time that people sometimes think I'm a homosexual! I'm perhaps the only bloke in the world that has had to come out as straight.

I am in fact so utterly happy all the time that people sometimes think I'm a homosexual! I'm perhaps the only bloke in the world that has had to come out as straight.
