Anniversary Card Using Fuchsia and Navy

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card made with the colors from the Color Hues Challenge.
I just received Waffle Flower Rhombus Texture Die and Rhombus Panel Die set and couldn't wait to use them so I cut the white panel and then placed the trellis die cut over it.  I used Altenew Delicate Magnolia die for the pretty blooms, cutting them from SU Melon Mambo card. I then used a finger dobber and white ink to go around the edges of the petals before gluing them together.  I added fancy rhinestones (Hobby Lobby) to the centers of the flowers.  I cut the leaves from SU Starry Sky card using a Spellbinders die   The sentiment is an older Verve stamp and I stamped it in Starry Sky ink and then cut it with a die from SU Unbounded Love die set.  I placed it back in the die to shorten the length and mounted it with foam tape.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the Waffle Flower set.

and to the Triple B Challenge - Birds/Blooms/Butterflies

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Thinking of You

Hello friends.  I have a new card to share today.  I made this one for a friend who recently had knee surgery.  I used the Color Hues Challenge colors of green and gold, and no flowers. 😃

The pattern paper is from a Honey Bee Christmas pad.  I like that the green had the gold stripes in it.  I used mat gold foil card to cut the frame (Recollections) and the strip from Spellbinders Ribbon & Trim dies.  The frame die cuts out the center so I had to cut it out of white also to stamp the sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts (ret.).  I mounted the white oval with foam tape to the center of the gold frame after gluing the strip and frame down.  I added 3 small gold beads for a little bling.  I think the card is clean and simple but elegant.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS #84 as this is the first time I have used both die sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

The Paper Players #774 Sketch

Hello friends.  I saw the sketch at The Paper Players and used it to make this birthday card for a good friend who likes purple.  I finished just in time to link to the challenge.

I used SU Thankful Garden stamp, stencil & dies for the pretty bloom. After stamping it, I blended SU Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green inks on the flower, and then die cut it.  I embossed a white panel with my new EF from Scrapbook.com called Etheral and then added a piece of older SU Highland Heather pattern paper for the cross panel.  I added the flower (mounted with foam tape) for the vertical panel.  The sentiment was already stamped and ready to use (it is from a retired SU set).  I added foam tape to the right end of the sentiment and glued the other end on the flower image.  That completes my card and I think she will like it.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Card #4 for March

Hello friends.  Well, I am almost done with March Anniversary cards.  This is #4 and I have one more to go.

ETA:  Yea!  My card was a Team Pick at Tic Tac Toe.

I used a new set from Gina K. Designs, Ruffled Blooms stamp, die, stencil, and embossing folder to make these pretty flowers.  After stamping them, I used SU Terracotta Tile (center petals) and Grapefruit Grove (large petals) to blend the inks on.  There are two more flower petal stencils that I didn't use as I like them this way.  I used SU Soft Succulent for the leaves (sorry, all inks are ret.).  I die cut them and then embossed with the matching embossing folder.  I embossed a white panel with the new Spellbinders  February 2D EF called Spring Stripes.  It kind of looks like rows of wonky hearts and I thought it would make a pretty background for the blooms.  The flowers have a lot of texture so I just glued them to the panel and then glued the sentiment over them.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time for the flower set and embossing folders.

and to Addicted to Stamps and More - Diecuts and/or Stencils (I used both)

I will also add it to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (middle row down - die cutting, ink blending, friendship) as it is for friends' anniversary - I hope that qualifies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Anniversary Card #3

Hello friends.  I am still working on Anniversary cards for March and this is the third one. I have two more to go.😀

I used my new Altenew Delicate Magnolia dies to create the pretty flowers.  I cut them from white and lightly blended Fossilized Amber DOI in the centers of the petals and shaped them with my stylus before gluing together.  The centers are cut from Kraft card and after adding them, I also added a small gold bead.  I blended SU Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of white to die cut the leaves from another die set.  I used Newton's Nook Gingham stencil to lightly blend Soft Succulent ink in the center of a panel embossed with a very old SU Sizzix EF.  I used the debossed side.  The inking doesn't show up well in the photo but does in person.  I glued the panel to the white card base, added the flowers and the sentiment which is cut with Creative Expressions Mini Shadowed Sentiments - Happy Anniversary.  I didn't use the shadow die though.  I die cut the sentiment from SU Soft Succulent card (ret.) and glued it on.  I really like the finished card and I think the recipients will also.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used the Magnolia dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Color Hues - Pink and Red

Hello friends.  I am honored to be the Guest Designer at Color Hues Challenge today and the colors are Red & Pink.

I was going through my stamps and found this older stamp from Art Impressions, Cupcake BFFs and thought it would be perfect to color in Red & Pink.
After stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored her with Copics and used SU Crumb Cake Blends for her hair and cupcake wrapper.  I die cut her with my new Penny Black Curvature dies and also cut a Real Red frame.  It cuts the center out as well a the frame.  I glued the red frame over the white frame for a little dimension, and then to the Pretty in Pink panel embossed with Taylored Expressions Weathered EF.  I then mounted this panel to the white card base.  The stamped image panel was then glued in the opening of the frame.  The sentiment from the same stamp set, is stamped on a white scrap and glued to the edge of the frame.

Now it is time to check out what the DT did with these colors.  Hope you will be inspired to join us in this fun challenge.

I am also linking to Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) as this is the first time I used these dies.

Combining Old and New

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for my granddaughter using some new dies and some old ones.  My granddaughter and two great-granddaughters all have birthdays next week, so I will be busy.😍

ETA:  My card was one of the Top 3 at the Triple B Challenge.

For this card I used my new dies from SSS Fantasy Bouquet.  I die cut them from cream card and colored them with SU Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blends.  I die cut a panel of Petal Pink using Spellbinders Fluted Classic Rectangles and glued it to a cream card base.  Next I cut the cream panel with SU Scalloped Contrours dies (ret.) and glued it to the Petal Pink layer.  I layered the blooms with tiny pieces of foam tape for dimension and then mounted them with foam tape also.  I glued the leaves around the blooms.  The sentiment is an older one from SU cut with a stitched circle die and then using another stitched banner die to cut the center section and mounted it with foam tape.  I colored 3 small white gems with a Calypso Coral Blend and added them to the card.  I love the finished card and I think my granddaughter will also.

Peeking Snowmen

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card to share today and there are no poinsettias. :)  This card is going to my grandson in West Virginia where they have been getting snow and really cold weather.  I thought they would like it.

I think these Cottage Cutz Peeker Snowmen are so cute.  I have had them for awhile and this is the first time using them.  I saw several cards on Pinterest using them so had to get them out to play with.  I die cut the images from white and colored them with Copics. After assembling all the pieces, I found some brick patterned paper to place them on.  I die cut Cottage Cutz Icicle Border  and added it to the top of the pattern paper, added this to a panel embossed with SU snowflake EF (ret) and then added the cute snow people with foam tape, as I colored one in pink, so she has to be a girl. :)  I am not sure which set the sentiment is from as I had it on a block and decided to use it.  After stamping it, I fussy cut around it and glued it to the snowflake panel and my card was done.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using these dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Florals for The Flower Challenge

Hello friends.  Sadly, this is the last challenge for The Flower Challenge.  I have so enjoyed this challenge and will definitely miss it. They want us to Use Christmas Florals.  Of course, I thought of poinsettias as I have quite a few to choose from but settled on this oldie from Stampin Up - Poinsettia Petals.

I die cut the 3 layers of the poinsettia from white and shaped the petals with my fingers, glued the 3 layers together and added  the center cut from gold foil.   The leaves from the set was cut from some green from my stash and the sprigs from the gold foil.  I also cut the sentiment from my new Papertrey Ink Holiday Tag: Elegant Ornaments set from the gold foil (can't wait to play with the ornaments in this set).  I layered the gold sentiment on a white layer and then glued to a Real Red panel embossed with Altenew Moroccan Tile EF (also new).  I swiped white ink over the embossing before gluing the elements on.  I added this panel to a scalloped black mat cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die, and then glued to a white card base.  I am really loving this card and may make a couple more since I am not quite done with my Christmas cards this year.

Linking to Can You Handle the Pressure (did not use the twist)

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the EF and the sentiment die.

I used some new items for my card.  The plaid paper is by Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and the white shape is cut with Papertrey Ink Love to Layer: Soft Ridges die and the sentiment is also by PTI Reflections: October.  The poinsettia and foliage is from Scrapbook.Com Christmas Joy die set.  I really like the finished card and will be making more.

Thank You for The Flower Challenge

Hello friends.  I finally got a card done for The Flower Challenge - Thanks.

ETA: My card was an Honorable Mention at The Flower Challenge.

The photo doesn't really do it justice, but it looks good IRL.  I used a couple of new items for my card: Gina K. Designs Ruffled Blooms stencil & embossing folder for the lovely flowers and a die set from Amazon for the Pale Papaya & Pumpkin Pie panels.  I stamped the lighter panel with a sentiment from SU Go To Greetings (ret.) in Soft Suede ink.  The blooms are embossed and stenciled with SU Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze inks.  I die cut them with a die included with the embossing folder and then embossed then again for more detail.  The leaves are cut with a Memory Box die.  I embossed a panel of SU Basic Beige, glued to a white card base and then mounted the die cut panels with foam tape.  I glued the blooms on and glued the leaves under the petals.

I will also link to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using this EF & dies.

Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.

ETA:  YEA! My card was one of the Top 3 at Triple B Challenge.

I had to have this new Altenew Garden Cosmos die set and couldn't wait to make a card with it.  I die cut the flowers and stems from white and then ink blended them with DOI, Broken China for the flowers & buds, and Rustic Wilderness for the stems.  After gluing the layers together, I added a pretty rhinestone gem to the centers.  The flowers have dimension from the layers so I didn't use foam tape, but put glue in the centers and glued them over the stems.  The buds & stems are separate so I added them where I wanted them.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Anniversary Innies.  I mounted it with foam tape.  I added texture to the white panel with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.)

I will link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds Blooms Butterflies

and to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using this die set.

Have a Koala-ty Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I made this one for a young girl at church who is turning 8.  I used a new to me stamp and die set, Koala-ty Birthday by Simon Says Stamp and really like the finished card.  Sorry, the photo is a little crooked but the card has already been given to the recipient.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics.  After die cutting the image, I mounted it with foam tape to a Soft Seafoam panel cut with a stitched rounded rectangle die.  I stamped and cut the sentiment from the set in a brown ink and mounted it with foam tape.  I glued this panel to a pink & white striped paper and rounded the corners with a punch to match the green panel.  I mounted this to a white card base and then added some tiny pink pearls for a little bling.

and also to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using this set.

Seize the Birthday - Favorite Fall Treat

Hello Friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nance (our newest team member) has chosen the "Topping" option of Favorite Fall Treat.

While looking through my stash of dies I came across this older die set by Spellbinders Welcome Fall and thought it was perfect as pumpkins are always a favorite, since I didn't have a pumpkin pie stamp :).  This is the first time I have used this die set but am pleased with the final result.  I got the general idea from the die cover but changed it quite a bit.   I added an extra wood slat to the sign and stamped the sentiment from an older Impression Obsession set, masking each word before stamping.  I also made the post longer to accommodate the sign, which were all made from lt. gray card from my stash.  I used DOI and MFT cloud stencil to blend the sky and green for the ground.  I also used DOI on the leaves.  I die cut the pumpkins from SU Pumpkin Pie (very appropriate) and blended Pumpkin Pie ink around the edges. I also added extra to the basket and placed the 3 small pumpkins in it.  I placed 2 large pumpkins by the basket with form tape.  The basket and sign were also mounted with foam tape.  The branch and leaves were glued on.  I mounted the main panel to a panel of SU Cloud Cover and then to the white card base.

I will send this to Darnell's NBUS since this is the first time using the die set.

Be sure to check out all the fun Fall Treat cards at Seize the Birthday and join in the fun.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Happy Birthday Bear

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this one for a little one at church who is turning 3 this week.

I thought this cute Penny Black image from Daisy Darlings would be perfect for her.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color her with Copics.  After coloring the image I die cut the panel with Memory Box Fringed Scallop Frame Set and also cut a pink mat with the next larger die.  I glued the pink panel to the white card base and mounted the white panel with foam tape.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set - I love the font in this one and use it quite a bit.  I glued it on the image and my card was done.

and I will share at Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used this image.

Thanks so much for Stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
