Cookies! Today I was browsing for cookie recipes and I ran across Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies and figured I needed to share J I haven’t tried them, but I’m pretty sure I will! 1 cup white sugar  1 cup butter, softened  1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened  1/2 teaspoon salt  1/2 teaspoon almond extract  1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract  1 egg yolk  2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour  Directions 1. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, butter, cream cheese, salt, almond and vanilla extracts, and egg yolk. Beat until smooth. Stir in flour until well blended. Chill the dough for 8 hours, or overnight. 2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough 1/3 at a time to 1/8 inch thickness, refrigerating remaining dough until ready to use. Cut into desired shapes with lightly floured cookie cutters. Where Do All The Ideas Come From? Sometimes I wonder where I get the ideas for stories, characters, and plots. It’s like a bottomless well inside my head where at least five or six ideas swirl together at a time. It can be overwhelming, and I find myself stretched between two, three, or more WIPs. I’ve always been this way. A loner as a child, I had plenty of playmates in the realm of my imagination, and that’s simply morphed into a writer with too many plotlines to keep track of. Maybe it’s remnants of past lives replaying themselves in suppressed memories, and I’m working out issues I once had. Maybe it’s some kind of mental illness like mania. Maybe it’s a blessing from God. I can’t define it, but I do know that my overworked imagination makes me who I am.
