Dust off the cobwebs - It's Party Time!!

Hello!

I am dusting off the cobwebs after 7 months of not posting any of my creations. I can't believe that I have had no mojo for that long. I think it's finally coming back!!

Today is the 15th and time to post our cards for the Creative Crew challenge. Things have changed with the Creative Crew. Kits will now only contain the images and papers, and then an added embellishment if we want to include one.

April is my month as hostess and here is the info:

It's Party Time!

Are you celebrating any upcoming events? It could be a graduation, new job, new baby, an anniversary a birthday?? Well, if you are, it's time to party!

The kits included the following:

Images: Simon Says Stamp - Festive Balloons
Papers: Stampin' Up! - Pattern Party

I did not add any embellishments this round.

Here is what I came up with, a birthday card:

Thank you for visiting after 7 long months. I appreciate you coming by!

Until next time, but not another 7 months,

Terry

Hot Mess Monday

Hi everyone! It's Hot Mess Monday!

In this monthly challenge you will see cards or projects that will make a mess, a hot mess of work spaces, fingers, clothes and anything I touch! But from the "hot mess" comes success, a beautiful creation to share with you!

My fellow Hot Mess ~ Success crafters are BarbJeanette and Kelly. Make sure you visit their blogs to see their hot mess creations! All you have to do is click on their names above.

We usually post on the 2nd Monday of the month, but the others had another commitment last Monday, so we pushed it off another week.

For this challenge, I pulled out my Alcohol Inks....all 4 of them, LOL! Following some YouTube videos I rounded up my supplies of Yupo paper, alcohol inks, alcohol ink blending solution, alcohol ink lift pad, a stamp set from SSS and a drinking straw. From there I got to work.

I made my background with the alcohol inks and bending solution by dropping ink onto the Yupo paper and blowing it around with the drinking straw. After it dried, I took the stamp and applied the alcohol ink lift solution and stamped the alcohol inked background. You are then supposed to be able to stamp again on regular cardstock and transfer the ink you picked up, but that did not work for me. Maybe next time.

Here is my card....I actually love the way this turned out.

Thank you for stopping by!
