LIBIS is an IT organization and scientific service provider within KU Leuven, responsible for the implementation and management of specialized systems and digital processes to support the findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of the various collections and research data of KU Leuven, the Association and its partners.
We use our data-driven expertise in national and international collaborations with research groups in the development of virtual research environments from proposal to realization. By participating in (inter)national projects, networks and research, LIBIS contributes to the innovation of scientific collections and data infrastructures and shares this expertise with third parties.
LIBIS stands for sustainability, we are always looking for synergies and are responsible for the long-term management of the systems and processes resulting from our partnerships.

LIBIS celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023! The 50th anniversary of LIBIS is therefore an important time to look back on our joint achievements, but also to look forward to the future.
