Week 43 - Crafting Challenge at Polkadoodles - Add Sparkle, Bling or Glitter

Shop on Etsy

--------------------------------------------------------------
'Tis Friday, well it is!
Can only mean one thing - another week has gone by in the blink of an eye.
Talking of blinking :-)

Our theme for this fortnight is

Add Sparkle, Bling or Glitter

The winner of this challenge will receive a $10 gift certificate
to the Polkadoodles Download store :-)

Before you take a look at what the Design Team have on
offer for you this week,  why not go and take a look at the
What's New section of the Polkadoodles Store.
Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more ;-)
Something totally awesome is waiting in the NEW section!! eeeek! We are SO excited!!!

Polkadoodles Ltd

Ok now let's take a look at the Design Team inspiration for you.

Scatty Jan - For my card I have used the fantastic template from Twiggy and Toots collection I then used the uber cute little robin from Frosted Winter Collection. Also from that collection came the paper, and all the other elements. I cut some snow from white paper and glittered it up to finish.

Jackie - For my card this week I have continued to make good use of the brilliant collection of digi images in the Work and Play 5- Festive Hollybobs collection. It can be purchased as a cd or as a download and of course the digis can be purchased individually. The image here is Hollybobs Mistletoe Kiss. Details are on my blog.

Asha - I made a centre step card with image, paper and digital embellishments from the Angelberry Christmas CD. I coloured the Angel with Faber Castell Polychromos. You can also purchase the image as a separate download here - Angelberry Pressies. For that festive sparkle, I added bling, Stickles and sequins.

Jenny - For my card for the add some sparkle challenge is a big one! I used my Cameo to cut out the cards and it ended up with eight panels but I couldn't get them all on one picture. I edged all the pictures with glitter and also added glitter to the holly in the corners.  The images are all from the Octavia Frosted Winter Collection and I used the coloured ones for this.

Jessie - This challenge really stumped me, I use lots of basic things but glitter bling and all that is not a regular occurrence for me. So I started by blowing Odella with Bag up to fit a 5 1/4" x 3 7/8" panel to cover the entire front of my card, then I coloured her up with my Copic Markers. I decided that for my sparkle I would add some Wink of Stella in clear to the heart on her cheek as well as on her shirt (that is what the tiny white spots actually are.) Then when I finished that and matted it all and got the card built I remembered that Wink of Stella does not photograph well so I took one adhesive back rhinestone and adhered it to the heart on her shirt.

Ria -  For our Sparkle, Bling or Glitter challenge I choose this card with the pretty Serenity Stardust from the Serenity Collection. I coloured her with Pencils and added glitter(stickles) and I used my lovely glittery ribbon so love this I will cry my eyes out when it is all gone ;) hahaa well I hope you all join us .

Karon - I decided to make one final Halloween card for my challenge inspiration this week.  I used several of the new bundles for my creation.  Sentiment on the moon is from the Spooky Sentiments digi download, the papers are from the Halloween/Autumn Paper Heaven 1 download bundle, and everything else is from the Witchie Witchie 2013 download bundle :-)  I added glitter to the face pumpkin and the little bats :-)

Aunty Sue - Well when I think of Sparkle, Bling or Glitter and it is edging for Winter it just has to be a Christmas card. So what better than the fabulous Cd Octavia Frosted Winter. I have coloured my image with my Lyra Rembrandt Pencils and added snowflake embossing folder lots of Glitter card, gems and snowflake ribbon. A few dies to embellish and set the scene
.

Wendy - For my glitter card, I've used one of the design sheets from Octavia Frosted Winter. I love these design sheets, they all have enough elements for at least 2-3 cards on a single sheet! I've teamed with some glittery pink card, lots and lots of Stickles and just a few Aurora Borealis stick on gems. Sparkle a plenty!

WOW - that should get you all inspired. So off you go and craft something amazing.
Then come back here and link it up to our challenge

Add Sparkle, Bling or Glitter
You have until Noon, GMT, Friday 6th November to enter.
Please remember only 2 entries per person.
And we only have a few little rules over there in the side bar ---->

Happy crafting everyone.
See you next week.

Week 42 - Crafting Challenge at Polkadoodles - Use a Die Cut

Shop on Etsy

Bloomin' eck it's Friday again!

We are in week 2 of our challenge

Use a Die Cut

You can link up your entry HERE

The winners of our Favourite Card Shape challenge will be at the end of this post.
Before we get on to seeing what the Design Team have been up to, let's see what's in the store.

I expect you are all busy bees getting ready for Halloween, well there are some fabulous digi's
and download collections to be had.  No hanging about for that pesky postman either.

Check at the Polkadoodles bundles
HERE

Now let's get on with the show :-)

Asha - Instead of using die cuts to frame or mat, I've decided to create a scene with die cut clouds and grass with papers from W&P 10 Country Life. The star of the card is a sweet little cow from W&P 10 Country Life. I coloured her with my pencils, adhered a ticket tag the CD, inked the edges and my CAS card is done.

Scatty Jan - I have used the amazing Frosted Winter collection using the lovely Artic Wandering Star Octavia also available as a digi here and also the Ice Palace which is available here. I coloured up using Graph'It Markers and also using the silver shake it marker, I cut some flowers from the collection and coloured them up to match. I cut around the bauble using a die.

Jackie - I have been busy colouring up some of the great digis on Work and Play 5- Festive Hollybobs. This one is Hollybobs Skating Fun. The paper, sentiment and bow are also from this collection. I have used a Sizzlits die set for the snowflakes. Details on my blog.

Karon - I have made an easel card this week.  Using a pre-coloured digi with frame from the fabulous Octavia Frosted Winter collection.  She is also available as a black and white image for you to download and colour HERE.  I add some glitter and used my oval dies, to cut around the frames and sentiment.  Everything you see is from this fabulous collection.

Jenny - I have used a large die this week to cut the window on my card. I have used craft card and one of the pre-coloured digi's from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection. I wanted it to look like you were looking out onto a snowy scene, although I've used the coloured image you can get her on her own as a digi download here.

Jessie - I love tucking small die cuts and things in as layers on my cards and the banner on this is a great example of that! I used the Octavia Big Kahunna bundle for this card. the paper and the image all come from that collection! This image is so worth all the time put into colouring it!

Ria - hmm what a horror to having to add diecuts... Who loves diecuts?? whahahah me of course so here is my card I used the scarecrow from the Autumn/Fall digistamp collection and coloured him with pencils and did his background in watercolours. The papers and sentiment are from the Serenity Collection... Dies are all from Tattered Lace Dies...

Aunty Sue - Wow how do I follow all this inspiration well hopefully this wont scare you away. I have used the Autumn/Fall Digi stamps with this brilliant Guy doesn't he look like he is ready for another drink and also the papers are from the Paper Heaven download 1 and the house and sentiment is from the sentiments pack all available from the shop HERE. My Dies are the corner die and the Railing in front of the house. The image has been coloured with my Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils. I do hope that he hasn't scared you off from joining us this week.

Wendy - For this weeks card, I've used a sentiment from the Picnix 3 Collection as the main focus and re-coloured in using Craft Artist. The Poinsettia's are also from the same collection. The die is a Tonic verso die, 'Birthday Wishes'.

WOW what fabulous Inspiration.  has it put you in the mood for crafting?!

Halloween or Fall creations.

Then why not go and check out the latest additions to the store.

Some great paper bundles and fabulous Halloween digital images for
you to colour too :-)

The Design Team have been busy once again.  So let's see what they
have for your inspiration this week.

Scatty Jan - For my shaped card I have used the Work and Play 11 collection going for the golf theme.  I have used both the Male and Female Golfer although he is hidden - I coloured up with pencils . Everything used is from the collection - the images are available as digis too - Female Golfer  and Male Golfer.

Asha - My favourite card shape is rectangular. Not too boring when you have great material to work with. My card features images and papers from the Witchie Witchie CD, which is fabulously ghoulish and perfect for fun Halloween projects. I coloured the witch with pencils. She's called Witch Wendie and is also available as a separate download digi.

Ria -  Okay I think I will be the most boring one on the team as my favourite is Square cards... I just love to make them in all sizes. So for my card I used the papers and sentiment from the Work and Play 9 love and kisses collection.  And I used this gorgeous stamp called Winter Time from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection to show you that she is perfect for other occasions... She is coloured with pencils.

Aunty Sue - Now for my card I have done a Stepper card. I just love these but do struggle with the measurements so is not my normal shape but one of my Favorites. My card features the fabulous CD - Octavia Frosted Winter. Oh the detail on these CD papers, embellishments and images are just awesome. You can find the cd/download in the shop HERE. I have coloured this with my Pens and used lots of embellishments and sentiment from the CD.

Karon - Now I made my favourite fold (the Z or S fold card) totally missing the point that it was favourite shape, but hey it's a shape right?!  I used the wonderful Winston collection for my card. Everything is from the collection and I added a little metal floral charm from my stash.  This is Etty's new Dress and she is also available as a single digi to download and colour.

Jenny - Here is my favourite shaped card, I love easel cards and the circle ones are just a little bit special. I have used Octavia Frosted Winter for my card and have printed onto photo paper as i used the collection but the image is also available as a stand alone digi.

Wendy - I'm really quite boring with my card shapes, my favourite is square. For this card I've used Spooky Mummy from this years Halloween release, the papers are from two different collections, Halloween/Autumn 2015 bundle 1 & bundle 2. The sentiment is from Spooky 2015 bundle and the frame is from the 2013 Witchie Witchie bundle.

Jackie - My creation for the favourite card shape is a box card. I have used the wonderful papers and pre-coloured digis from the Work and Play 5 Collection- Festive Hollybobs. Time to start getting ready for Christmas!

Fabulous inspiration from the ladies.

Penny - using the wonderful papers from the Nordic Winter Picknix 3 collection.   I traced the flowers from the kit and cut on plain papers to make the layered flower and added some stitching and gold embossing with stencilling for some added detail.     I even pulled out my distressing machine and made some noise on those card edges and added distress ink to all my edges and little pearls hidden around the card.

Karon - I couldn't resist using the fabulous Rose Budd Collection for my Shabby Chic card this week. I have made a book card.  For the outside, I used the pre-coloured image of  Miss Constance, and have layered her up to add some dimension. (She is also available as a clear stamp, if you wish HERE.) For the inside I added a verse, and all the papers are from this amazing collection.  A little bit of lace from my stash to finish it off.  I did a second photo to show you the inside :-)

Aunty Sue - Well for my Shabby Chic Project which I had to look up the definition for. I have done a little mini album/Tag book. I idea is that you write on the tags or add little pictures if you want. I havent used a image but used papers and elements for each of the pages from 2 cds- Rose Budd collection  available here and one of my favorites Twiggy & Toots available Here. I have added Lace and Ribbons and gems from my stash. Each page has different elements and will all be on my blog .The Pages Bases have actually been made from Toilet Rolls. I do hope you like it as much as I have enjoyed making.

I have featured Serenity Stardust which you can purchase as a download Here and the fabulous paper is from Paper Pack One which you can buy Here but why buy as individuals when you can get so much more for your money with the fab CD HERE. Sentiment is also from the CD.  Just finished it off with a punch and a die cut.
