Inspired By #116

I have never been a coffee drinker and have always liked tea.  Lately I have really been enjoying some of the fabulous flavors of loose leaf tea so I chose this photo as Inspiration this week:

How will you be inspired? text, tea, graphic, colors, sketch...

I went with a tea them and used my Flea Market collection by Crate Paper along with a PTI stamp and a Silhouette Cut File.  Most of my friends are tea drinkers like me so I know this will come in handy one day.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#78

Here it is June already, wow I can't believe it.  It is going to be a crazy month around here with my daughter's grad, my dad's birthday, father's day... all fun stuff.  For this week, I was really drawn to this photo.

How will you be inspired?  radio, music, numbers, stacked items, colors, retro, trio...

I went with the vintage feel and the radio to create a birthday card, possibly for my dad.  I used the On Trend collection by Crate Paper, some Studio Calico mist and some Unity stamps.

I used this week's sketch from Retro Sketches

And I am also playing along with the Simon Says challenge 'S' - stitching, spray, staples, stacked (I layered a few items).

Now since this is the first challenge of the month I have a prize up for grabs.  I have a few items from the All About a Boy by Echo Park

Now I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By # 73

Happy May! Let's hope all those April showers (or snow for some of you) does bring May flowers.  With that in mind, here is the inspiration for this week:

How will you be inspired?  Circle shape, water-colour, flowers, colors,...

I was inspired by the colors and the flowers.  I used my Little Bo Peep collection by Crate Paper, along with some Woven Burlap ribbon by May Arts and a wood speech bubble by Freckled Fawn.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Now being the first challenge of the month there will be a prize up for grabs.  I am writing this post while away and I forgot to take a photo, but the prize will be some Hampton Arts stamps.  I will add the photo when I get home.

Inspired By....#71

With Earth Day coming up on April 22nd I thought I would have an Earthy Inspiration challenge.

Now how will you interpret this one?  Globes, maps, circles, as a sketch, text, banner... so many ways to go with this one.

I decided to go with an earthy feel to mine as well as incorporate some map inspired items.  I used my Story Teller collection by Crate Paper to create this card.  The stamp is from Simon Says (YOLO by Kelly Purkey) and the twine is May Arts.

I used this week's Sketchbook Saturday sketch:

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By... #47

Pink is my favorite color, especially a nice soft pastel pink.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so I couldn't let October go by without some pink inspiration now could I?

How will it inspire you? color, typewriter, letter, roses, vintage, sketch?  I can't wait to see.

I was inspired by a few things, obviously the pink but also the vintage, the letters and my sketch is somewhat based on the sketch or layout of the photo.  I used my Crate Paper Little Bo Peep collection and some May Arts Jute Twine.

I am also playing along with the 365 Cards Challenge - B - mine is: bow, bird, blossom)

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#46

Welcome to a new week of Inspired By... and this week I have chosen this beautiful necklace and earring set, love the warm tones of this piece, great for this time of year.

How will you be inspired? colors, jewels, metal, banner, embossing...

I have a special guest with me again this week.  Jody has played along with many of my challenges so I am thrilled that she is joining me this week.  Be sure to stop by Jody's blog to say hi.

I really love where this inspiration took her!
Thank you Jody for joining me this week.

I went with the colors... I seem to always do that don't I ? ;) I pulled out my Random Crate Paper Collection.  I tied it off with some May Arts Jute twine.

I used this week's Sketchbook Saturday sketch:

I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Inspired By #33

I am really enjoying Chicago with my hubby and CHA was amazing.  I am so glad that I was finally able to go!  Definitely in the heat of summer and this inspiration photo I have brings up summer feelings for me.  Makes me think of spending days at a summer cottage on the lake... not that I ever have but one can dream ;)

Now what will you do with this photo?  The colors, distressed, stripes, woodgrain, boating, the number...

For my project I was inspired by the woodgrain, the stripes (although my striped paper is mostly covered, LOL) and the colors. I used my Crate Paper Storyteller papers along with some Unity Me Documented SMAK stamps.  I cut the circle strip using my Quickutz  Circle Punches die.

I used this sketch from Stuck?! sketches, although I am not applying for the DT, just liked the sketch.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #9

Welcome to another Inspired By Challenge.  This photo really took my eye.  I love the colors and the feel of it.

Once again, there are so many ways to take this photo: the colors (I see some Valentine projects), the girlieness, shopping, dress form, vintage feel...  I can't wait to see what you do.

For my card I used the Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection and although this is a 'love/valentine' themed pack I went another direction with it.  The stamps are from Sparkle Creations (Fashion Karber) and The Stamps of Life (Hello to You).  The twine is from May Arts and the letter stickers are from October Afternoon.  I had fun once again with some paper piecing.  This is for the Shopping Our Stash challenge - people.

Link up by next Wednesday February 8th 11:59 PST.
I can't wait to see what you do!
