Inspired By #111

With earth day coming up on April 22nd I went with an Earth Day themed inspiration photo:

How will you be inspired?  colors, pop, recycling, Earth Day, sketch, beverage, large title...

I went with the sketch and created this layout of my daughter passing her learner's test, yay!  I used the Sightseeing Stew collection by Jillibean Soup, along with a Tim Holtz stamp set, a Silhouette cut and the key is cut with my Cricut.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By....#102

Welcome to another Inspired By challenge.  I have had this photo in my inspiration folder for awhile now and I am finally using it!

How will you be inspired?  woodgrain, polkadots, print, text, colors...

I pulled out the colors and I was inspired by the large text.  I used my Memorabilia collection by Teresa Collins along with a large and new mini Placemat by Jillibean Soup. The large title is cut with my Silhouette and I have used some new Unity SMAK kit stamps (Be Your Own Beautiful and You Are Loved).

Can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By....#98

With Christmas just around the corner I decided to go with this inspiration photo.  Well that, and I can pretend they are celebrating my birthday, which is today ;)

How will you be inspired? colors, celebration, Christmas, vintage, checks, wreath, tree...

I pulled out the colors and used my Finnley collection by Glitz.  After a few months with not a lot of crafting mojo, it feels good to have fun in my craft room again! The twine is from American Crafts and the chipboard hashtag sentiment is from Creative Embellishments.

The layered die cut circle paper is actually a scrap left over from another project, love when I can use my scraps.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#97

I know, another clothing inspiration. I couldn't resist this one, it is so me that I couldn't wait to create something inspired from it.

I decided to create a layout in which I pulled out the yellow and blue (loving these 2 colors lately).  I used the Cut & Paste Charm Collection by My Mind's Eye along with the Ooh-La-La stamp set from TAWS and a couple of Silhouette cuts.  I have saved these chipboard clothing tags for awhile and putting them into a little canvas bag helped to create the shopping theme.  Another thing I always save are the little chain links that come on some clothing pieces.

I used this fun sketch from Audrey.  Not only is Audrey an AMAZING scrapbooker, she creates the most awesome sketches too!

Inspired By...#96

Time for another Inspired By Challenge.  With Christmas around the corner -(have you started your shopping yet?) I was really taken with this photo.  Aren't these trees beautiful?

How will you be inspired?  colors, metallics, trees, Christmas, ruffles, polkadots, texture... so many wonderful ways to take this photo!

I picked out the colors and the metallics.  I used the Summer Stories collection by Teresa Collins along with a title cut with my Silhouette.

The glittered chipboard #me is from Creative Embellishments.  It comes as plain chipboard, I painted it silver and then added some Glitter Glue on top.

I used this sketch from My Scraps & More:

Inspired By #87

With fall just around the corner I was inspired by this photo.

How will you be inspired?  colors, leaves, fall, stacked element, sketch, texture...

I was inspired by all of the colors of the leaves and used my Elle's Studio Serendipity Collection to create this layout.  I have also used my Unity You can do Anything SMAK kit and my doll MFT die. The date up at the top is created with some SRM Stickers.

Now today is Sketch Thursday over at the Elle's Studio blog and I used the sketch for this layout.  Be sure to hop on over there to see the sketch and I hope that you play along!

Now being that this is the first challenge of the month, I have a small prize up for grabs.  This week I have some Elle's Studio goodies for you so be sure to play along!

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By... #64

In honor of Dr. Suess' birthday (he was born on March 2, 1904 and died on September 24, 1991) I thought I would have a Dr. Suess inspired challenge this week.  Now you can use this inspiration or if you have your own Dr. Suess inspiration, go ahead and use it just be sure to share it on your blog along with your project.

How might you use this inspiration:  use a quote, whimsical, Dr. Suess colors...

I decided to use part of a quote and go also with a fun whimsical feel to my layout.  I think this silly photo is pretty Dr. Suess too - makes me think of the Lorax!  I have used the Sweet Girl collection by Echo Park, along with a few Unity Stamps, some Twine, Elle's Studio cards and the title is cut with my Cricut.  The 'YOU' is mounted on foam circles for dimension.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #33

I am really enjoying Chicago with my hubby and CHA was amazing.  I am so glad that I was finally able to go!  Definitely in the heat of summer and this inspiration photo I have brings up summer feelings for me.  Makes me think of spending days at a summer cottage on the lake... not that I ever have but one can dream ;)

Now what will you do with this photo?  The colors, distressed, stripes, woodgrain, boating, the number...

For my project I was inspired by the woodgrain, the stripes (although my striped paper is mostly covered, LOL) and the colors. I used my Crate Paper Storyteller papers along with some Unity Me Documented SMAK stamps.  I cut the circle strip using my Quickutz  Circle Punches die.

I used this sketch from Stuck?! sketches, although I am not applying for the DT, just liked the sketch.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #30

Oh my I can't believe that for me summer is finally going to start!  School is out for the students today and I have to go in tomorrow but then 'School's Out for Summer!'  I can't wait!

When I saw this inspiration photo I new I had to use it for today's challenge.

So I wonder where it is going to take you?  A picnic theme? the colors? the flowers? Can't wait to see.

For my project I used my Fresh Goods paper by Pebbles (that I have hoarded since I got it).  I just love the fun, fresh colors and patterns in this collection.  When I saw these photos in my daughter's folder I knew immediately I had to scrap them with this collection.  I used my Cricut to cut the title, tags and pennants.  The 'milk cap' embellishment is from Pretty Little Studio but all else is from the Pebbles collection.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #29

I am glad that you have stopped by for another Inspired By Challenge.  With the official start to summer I was inspired by this sunburst quilt.

How will you take the inspiration? The colors? The sunshine? A sunburst?  The sketch?

Funny thing is, I was actually going to do a sunburst just like this with these colors even.  Somehow, I stuck with the sketch and the sunburst (I have been wanting to do one on a layout for awhile now - finally pushed myself to do it)... but you will see I did not stick with the colors!

I used my Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection and the stamps are from the Oh Snap! set by There She Goes.  I am really happy with how this turned out.

Inspired By #27

Another fun inspiration challenge for you this week.

I wonder where this will take you? The colors, the limes, cakes, sweet things, the sketch?

For my project I used my Coconut Lime Soup Collection by Jillibean Soup and scrapped these fun photos I took one evening when we got together with hubby's family.  My SIL and her family are always snapping photos of themselves, I tend to like the non posed ones that really tell the story. Laughter really is the best medicine and we always have a lot when we are together.  I have also used a bit of twine and the brown letters are from Amy Tangerine.  I cut the pennants with my Cricut Art Philosophy.

Last weekend Creative Scrappers had an online crop, I didn't have time to take part but I really like the sketches so I used one of them for this layout.

Now this is the first challenge of the month so I have a prize up for grabs, some 6 X 6 pads of Jillibean Soup.

Now I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #23

Welcome to another Inspired By challenge.  I have so many ideas with this inspiration picture.

I think there are a few ways to take this photo: the sketch - grid; colors; botanical print; books; birds...

I went with the colors (mostly the green, orange, white and I used gray instead of silver) and decided to do a layout this week.  I used my American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neopolitan papers and chipboard.  This beautiful photo is one of my neice and I took it off of her facebook page.  I have also used some Unity Stamps along with some Twinery Twine.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the pennants and rose.

By the way, I posted this up on the StopAndScrap Blog as my first post as a DT Member, would love if you stopped by :)

I used this sketch from Twisted Sketches - using some Studio Calico Mr. Huey for a bit of ink distressing.

This is also for the Bird is the Word challenge - smile and the City Crafter challenge - use a photo.

Inspired By #20

It is time for another Inspired By challenge.  I have to say, I am loving doing this challenge blog, it is really getting me out of my box and creating things that I may not otherwise have done.  I hope it is doing the same for you!

With Earth day soon upon us I chose this photo as inspiration.

Maps are ever so popular right now so I can see this inspiration being used for some map projects, or you can use circles, the earth, the colors...

Once again I dug into my My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart collection.  Can you tell I LOVE this collection!  I was inspired by the colors but also thought that the title on the chipboard was perfect as well.  "Where ever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine."  My daughter has the whole world ahead of her and I hope that whatever she does, she does it by being herself.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the pennants and the butterfly tag.  I love this cartridge!  This is also for the My Mind's Eye Challenge - hexagons, and the Simply Create Too challenge - Earth Day

I used this sketch from Sketchabilities:

Now I can't wait to see what you create!

ETA:  My layout was in the Top 3 at 2Peas!
