A Cute Bee Happy Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you had a good weekend. In spite of the rain we managed to get a lot of gardening done on Saturday. Then on Sunday we had friends round for lunch in the garden it was rather windy though. All in all it was a good weekend. I wonder what will happen this week.

As I have said recently when I am using digi images I often print more than one. I found this image and I had a go at colouring it with my Prismacolor Pencils.

The background was made with some inky kitchen roll stuck to some card. I used Snippets of black card to make the hexagons the sentiment and the bees.

This image is called Spring Bumble Bee and it is available HERE from Star Stampz.   The image was printed onto a blue background and coloured with Prismacolor pencils. I do love practising with them. I added a stalk to the flower with a Micron Pen.

I might send this to someone who needs cheering up.

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog - May Challenge Anything Goes - Sponsor Star Stampz

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I told you I would be back. This time it is for the new challenge at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes and the sponsor is the lovely Star Stampz.

I was lucky and I was able to choose one of the images to work with. I do have a bit of a thing about bees.

Like most people I have been having a bit of a tidy up during this time. I found a lot of Pixie Powder backgrounds under a box that I had left there to flatten and had forgotten about. I used one of the backgrounds on this card.  I used the Dovecraft Bee Happy die set to create the hexagons and the sentiment.

The Star Stampz Etsy shop is full of gorgeous images. If you click on the cute image you will be taken there.

This cute  image is called Spring Bumble Bee and it is available HERE.  I created a background for the image on the computer. I printed onto Neenah card stock and I coloured the image with my Promarkers.

I do like this sentiment.

This bee die I won on Holley's blog when she was having her celebration in February.

This is a rather cute card and another one for my stash.

There will be one more post from me today.

Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge Blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of use white and one other colour

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been? Our son-in-law had his operation on Tuesday and is now at home recovering. The operation went well and it shouldn't be too long before he gets back to work. Doing things to help them has taken most of the week. Well that is what parents are for.

Being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of using white and one other colour. I did find that a challenge. The sponsor this time is Star Stampz.

Here is my card. I chose to use white and blue. The top white layer was embossed with the Falling Snow embossing folder. I used the Snow Globe die set from Creative Expressions and one of their Treat Cups to make the shaker part of the card. I added small white beads to make the snow.

The kind sponsor this time is Star Stampz if you click on the image you will be taken to the store.

This image is called Santa's Letter and it is available HERE. She was printed on to Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers.

I only had room for a small sentiment. This one is from Tattered Lace it was one of my bargain 50p dies.

I was very pleased with how this card turned out. I might try this with some other colours.

Have a great weekend.

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog - May Challenge - Sponsors Star Stampz and Ppinky Dolls

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Well what a weekend that was. I have just come back from our daughter's Hen Do. I was a bit worried before I went as I was the only older person going. The groom's mother declined the invitation to join us. But I had so much fun. It is so good that I have an extra day to recover. The plan is for us to go to Mottisfont and join the National trust. We need to be members when we go the Liverpool so that is cheaper for us to visit the Beatles houses (which is already booked). It should be a nice day out today I hope they have one of their art exhibitions on in the house.

Being the  first of the month the new challenge starts on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog. We have not one but two sponsors this month they are Star Stampz and Ppinky Dolls. Prizes are being offered by both sponsors. This makes it a good challenge to enter and the theme is Anything Goes.

For the background I used one of my Pixie Powder and Brushos kitchen roll pieces. I thought the colours of this one suited the colours I had used on the image.

https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/StarStampz?ref=l2-shopheader-name
If you click on this image it will take you to the store there are many cute images there.

This the Happy Birthday die designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expression. I cut it twice so I could use the black version to create a shadow I find this helps the sentiment to stand out from the background.

Isn't this image cute? It is called My Sweet Rose and it is available from the Star Stampz Etsy shop. I printed her on to water colour card and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I cut the frame for the image with my Double Pierced Rectangle dies.

I hope you will have time to join in with our challenge it is open for the whole month and the design team will come by to comment. Have a great week.

Happy Crafting
