Season of Friendship TLC371

Hello!
Day one of back to work and I'm ready for a vacation already! ha!
Only 4.5 more months until my next one....let the countdown begin ;)

I figured after a crazy day of catching up on nearly 500 emails, 6 conference calls and a ton of paperwork to go through, I deserved some crafty time. Don't you agree?

Holly had a great Try A New Technique TLC371 posted on SCS.
Looked like a fairly quick and easy one.
I lightly glued some old prima flowers on the image after it was stamped and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.
Stamps: Season of Friendship; Cardstock: Kraft, Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP; Inks: Close to Cocoa, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party; Accessories: Squared Lattice EF, Mini Pearls, Blushing Bride Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Dimensionals

HB2U

Hello and happy Friday!!!!

This week the TLC on SCS was to create your own banner....no dies, punch or chipboard.
I handcut some triangles and then used die cut letters and numbers to decorate them ;)
The sweet PI girl was coloured with copics.
I needed to get a new bobbin of thread and was too lazy....lol....so my old standby paper piercing tool was used.

Happy FRIDAY!!!
On Monday there was a fun New Technique challenge on SCS. Joan asked up to create our own background of stripes using designer paper.
Since Valentine's Day is almost here and I'll be having to put away my favourite Echo Park Your's Truly DP soon. There are plenty of scraps on my table so I cut some in different sizes and glued them to a piece of cardstock. Easy!

Thanks So Very Much

Hello!
Today I'm off and looking forward to not leaving the house.
We were supposed to do some more shopping today but Chloe decided last night that one day was enough and she's saving her money. Good for her!
So that means I have a FREE day today!
I'm sure it will be full of cleaning and laundry.
Of course I'll sneak a little stamping in there too ;)

Yesterday after I had a little snappy nap I decided to head to the basement for a bit.
The TLC on SCS was making a thank you card that was sort of Christmas-y.
I used red...does that count?
Sentiment is from Verve's set called Making a Statement.
I also used a couple of MFT dienamics.
Thanks for stopping by today!

December 25th TLC350

Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday I had a sick kid at home and lucky for me a great deal of my work can be done from home on my laptop. After finishing my normal Monday reporting I had a little extra time.
So while Chloe napped I stamped.
Joan had a fun TLC challenge on SCS to create a card with no stamping or digi images.
I reached for the numbers in the By The Numbers set from MFT.
Designer paper is from Teresa Collins.

Where There Is Love There Is Life

Happy Wednesday!
Half way through the work week.
For the next two days I am at our Town Hall meetings for our company.
Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

My card below was created for the Mojo208 sketch and the TLC Challenge on SCS of covering chipboard with pattern paper.
I decided to do a CAS card again.
This one shouldn't be too difficult to mail. Only the heart is popped up.
I used the Verve set called Text Objects.
Stamps: Text Objects; Cardstock: Lucky Limeade, So Saffron, Jillibean Soup DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Chipboard Heart, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals

Life Is Good

Since Monday was a holiday I was able to enjoy the day stamping.
It was WONDERFUL!
Holly hosted the Technique Challenge on SCS and I was thrilled to play along!
This time it was doing something with your designer paper.
I decided to stamp and emboss on it.
The image is from Technique Tuesday and called Life Is Good.
I embossed it in black and glitter.
Pretty simple card.

Friends TLC & Mojo

Yesterday was my day off and I'm happy to say I only spent a little time at work...lol! I've been taking on a little more responsibilities there and while I enjoy the challenge it will soon cut into my stamping time :( For now, I'll continue to stamp my free time away!! LOL!
This card was made for a couple of challenges.
First it uses the Mojo 125 sketch.
Second I played along with Holly's TLC259...frosted window technique.
I've been wanting to ink up this pretty image from JustRite called My Garden Set which is available from Stamper's Dream.
Stamps: My Garden Set; Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Summer Sun, Cool Caribbean, Vellum, October Afternoon Ducks in a Row dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Ribbon, Dimensionals

TLC meets Mojo meets a big mess

LOL! I don't know what I was thinking when I tried the TLC scratch 'n sniff technique. I didn't have any kool aid in the house so I tried it with my UTEE powder and some Card Scents Vanilla. In the end it worked out but wowzers....did I get a headache from all that vanilla smell...yuck! I had UTEE powder all of the flippin' place! Since I mixed the powder with a little bit of oil, I had to be sure I got it all cleaned up or the dog would be licking the floor! haha!
I also used Julee's Mojo 121 sketch for the card.
Stamps: Cupcake Affair from Verve; Cardstock: White, Real Red, MME Love Me Do dp; Inks: Memento black, Yo Yo Yellow; Accessories: Copics, Martha Heart punch, Corner punch, Key Tag punch, Curly Label punch, Dimensionals

Valentine Cuppie TLC

Hello!
I'm still stuck on this MME dp :)
Lucky for me yesterday's TLC on SCS was paper quilting and it was perfect for me to use up some of the scraps!
Today at 9 am PST the Baker's Dozen will start their sneak peeks for the upcoming release. Unfortunately, my stamps did not arrive in time so I don't have any new images to share but I did use a cuppie for this card! This is a cute image from the Love is Sweet set available at Taylored Expressions.
Stamps: Love is Sweet; Cardstock: White, Red and Yellow Core'dinations, MME Love Me Do dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Ribbon, Dew Drops, Red Stickles, Dimensionals
Stop by the Baker's Dozen blogs(listed on my sidebar) to see what fabulous creations they are peekin'!

Good Tuesday Morning!
It was Family Day here in Alberta yesterday and boy was it nice to have a long weekend!

Good Morning!

My SU! order should be arriving today! Yippee! In the meantime, I used some old stuff...lol...and it's really not old but will be soon enough :)

Friendship Cards

Good Morning!
Yesterday was super busy at the school....I didn't realize gluing white paper to cardboard was hard work....lol...today we are cutting shapes out of that stuff...fun eh?!
Last evening Jessie aka Knightrone asked if a couple of the DD girls could help make a sample for the Colour Challenge as she is covering for Emily while she is at CHA.
I sort of freaked out again when I heard Garden Green...turned out I had a harder time with the Pacific Point.
CC203 is Garden Green, Baja Breeze and Pacific Point
I pulled out Season of Friendship again ;)
For the card below I combined the Mojo71 sketch and the Try a New Technique Challenge....Paper Pleats.

I used Chat's Tutorial HERE for the flower.

Love Productive Days!

Happy Tuesday!
Boy was Monday a productive day! I worked on quite a few projects...some I can't show just yet though ;)
The Limited Supply Challenge on SCS was to make a pop-up gift card holder. It was super fast and easy! This is what I created.
Stamps: Merry & Bright; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Shimmery White and Frosty Days dp; Inks: Black, Kiwi, Tangerine; Accessories: Blender Pen, Kiwi Ribbon, Circle Punches, Word Window Punch, Scalloped Punch, Dimensionals
Here is an inside pic. I left some white space to write a personal message.
I wanted to work on some Christmas cards and figured the next few sketches would be a good place to start. I haven't done this in a couple of months and missed it! These three cards use the same basic supplies:
Real Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Ski Slope Designer Paper
Season of Joy Stamp Set
All three cards are Stampin' Up! only cards.
This first card uses Taylor's Cupcake Sketch.
This one uses Jen's Sketch For You To Try.
This one uses Julee's Mojo Sketch.

Back to the Grindstone...lol

Good Tuesday Morning!
Well it's the first day of school...still not sure if I want to laugh or cry....ugh!
I loved the freedom I had all summer to do what I wanted, when I wanted....now it's back to a routine. I know I said last year that I wasn't going to volunteer so much....ummmm ya....right! Let's see how long that lasts ;)
This week I was able to play along with the Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS. I was thrilled that I had time in the morning before heading out to shop. This one was called Black Magic. Basically what this technique called for was stamping a lined image onto dark cardstock with either white or vanilla craft ink. Then using your Prisma Pencils and Gamsol(odorless mineral spirits) you colour your images. (You dip the pencil directly into the OMS and then colour) Super fast and super easy! I think it's a fabulous technique and I'll be sure to use it again real soon!
Stamps: A Little Bit of Happiness; Cardstock: Old Olive, So Saffron, Choc Chip, Haiku DP; Inks: White Craft; Accessories: Prismapencils, Gamsol, Choc Satin Ribbon
Yesterday Storage Unit, Inks & More released 6 new fantastic stamp sets! Since I was on vacation the last two weeks of August I didn't have a chance to participate in the sneak peeks but not to worry...I'll be sharing them throughout the next couple of weeks!
Here is a card I made using the Leaf it to Me set. I was going for a nice clean and simple design. I stamped the apple barrel twice and popped it up on little dimensionals. I'm loving the texture of this Core'dinations cardstock. It adds so much to a simple card, don't you think?

Stamps: Leaf it to Me; Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Core'dinations in Chocolate Mocha and Cardinal, Scenic Route DP; Inks: Memento Black, Creamy Caramel; Accessories: Copics, Dew Drops, Quickie Glue Pen, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
I'll see if Chloe will allow me to snap a picture of her this morning before school...if so I'll share it with you all.

SU! Sketch, MFT Spinner, CC Designs 3-D

Good Wednesday Afternoon!
How many of you are counting the days until the new SU catty? I'm still waiting for my sneak peaks and In Colours to get here but as always...it's been rescheduled...lol
I knew I'd want to use a SU! set today so I pulled out the In The Stars for todays Sketch Challenge on SCS. What a fun sketch!
I'd almost forgotten to show you my spinner card! This was for Monday's Try a New Technique Challenge. Beate has a fabulous tutorial written on SCS for it. I hadn't made one of these since last summer...they are fun! Although I had to go out and buy dental floss to do it. We had every colour BUT white in the house...
I used one of my newest MFT sets... Here's The Scoop
Wednesday's bring an All That Scraps Design Team Challenge. This week we were challenged to use Chipboard. I LOVE chipboard!! Remember a couple of years ago when chipboard coasters were all the rage? Well I had like 500 of them...haha....still got quite a few ;)
I decided to pull out some coasters and make a little post it note book for a To Do List. Want to know what's on the first page? Dust Dining Room Table...ack! When I took the pictures you could SEE the dust...gross...haha!
I used the CC Design Stamp called Queenie. She's so cute! You can get her at All That Scraps.

Thanks for stopping by today!

ETA: Julia at Little Paper Shop is having a sale! Go on...check it out!
