Remember sometime back I blogged about Malaysia Boleh! at Jurong Point (Singapore)?
Ok the post is almost 1 year ago.. but guess what?
2 of the restaurants I mentioned in the blog post has opened their outlets/stalls at Jurong Point!
Popeye at JP2 (Level 2/3).
Opened sometime in June and till now (almost 2 months) there's still a long queue outside their outlet everytime we pass by..
Got hubby to queue for takeaway the other day.. :P
Now I no longer have to travel too far just to have Popeye!
Yoshinoya in JP1 Kopitiam (Level 3).
Hubby says there used to be 1 Yoshinoya outlet in JP years back but I don't remember seeing it..
They have recently open a new stall at level 3 Kopitiam food court!
I've been craving for it since I spotted it when we were checking out another stall. :)
Will be getting hubby to pack it back for me again.
Play-kitchen in JP1 Kopitiam (Level 3)
This stall is opened by Ben Yeo, Local actor/host/author.
Their menu includes Hei-Bee Clams in Asian Flavours, Smoked duck breast with fresh veg in Thai sauce, Suckling Chicken Steak with Aglio Olio Spaghetti and Sambal Belachan Grill fish with Aglio Olio Spaghetti. I am quite excited about the hei-bee Clams and Sambal Belachan grill fish. Can't wait to try out when I'm free to have my meal at the foodcourt. Don't really like to eat packed pasta.
Liquid Skin next to JP1 Kopitiam (Level 3).
This shop space used to be for a massage place. It's kinda dark from the outside and I've never step in.
Last week while walking around JP, I saw a poster for Eyebrow Threading and I immediately walk-in!
They were having promo and I had my eyebrows and upper-lip area threaded for only S$9.60 (including gst)! Finally a place there's nearby for some threading! No more excuse for messy brows!!!
Having a set of neat eyebrows can really change how a person look!
❤ Comparison of different ways to neaten your brows.
❤ Eyebrow threading (Before and After)
That's all for the new stalls/shops update.
Just realise this post is super wordy so I decide to add a cute photo of Winnie and me. :D
The irritating thing about dark hair colouring?
They don't usually show until the roots grows out. -.-
Before the roots comes out, the colours don't stand out at all.. now it's like such an eye sore.. argh!
What colours should I try for next year's CNY? 6 months to CNY (31st January 2014) and I'm thinking of colours for my hair! I'm also contemplating if I should do bangs for my hair again.. How? :P

Pluck my own brows.
13th December, noticed brows are super messy and decide to clear some of the strays.

Keeping brows tidy, is one of the best "pick up" for your face.
I believe this is one of my first post on eyebrow threading in 2009. Comes with before and after photo. :D http://uglyfatchick.blogspot.com/2009/06/i-love-eyebrow-treading-beforeafter.html .
The first time I did my eyebrow treading was a few years back.. and I'm hooked since then.. Whenever I feel like my facial features are too blunt/flat, or my whole face looks very tired and restless, I'll go for eyebrow treading. :)
Neaten brows will frame your face and you'll look more alert. For those who have never tried to shaping your brows before, would suggest you get a professional to assist you with this.
Throughout the years I've tried various ways to neaten my brows and the following are my views, hopefully would be able to help you make a choice of which way is suitable for you. Do note that these are my personal views which you can use it as reference, however I would suggest doing a bit more research before making your final decision.
*Price reference true to my knowledge at moment of writing this entry and it's in SGD. :)
Eyebrow Threading ❤❤❤❤
Pain: I find that it's bearable since it's normally done really quickly.
Time: Under 3 mins.
Price: Ranges from $6-$15 depending on where you get them done.
Remarks: Most of the time would get them to thread those fine hairs on upper-lip too.
Favourite Place: Vanessa's at Buffalo Road (Little India) Eyebrow + Upper-lip at only $10*
Other Locations: Browhaus (difficult to book and more expensive), many neighborhood salons offers this service too. :)
Eyebrow Tweezing/Plucking ❤❤❤
Pain: If you find a good brow artist, you wouldn't feel much pain at all. But so far 90% of the time it's still pain, so I don't really like getting them plucked. :'(
Time: 3-5 mins, depending on the skill of the eyebrow artist & how much strays you have. :D
Price: Ranges from FOC to $15 depending on where you get them done.
Remarks: Normally comes free with facial or makeover at cosmetic counters, you can even learn to do them yourself at home too. :)
Favourite Place: Home. I try not to pluck them unless I really really don't have the time to get them threaded.
Other Locations: Neighborhood salons, beauty counters, even some hair salons offer this service too! :)
Eyebrow Waxing ❤❤
Pain: Somewhat painful. :( Especially for my wallet. :P
Time: 15-20mins? Longer time as you have to wait for wax to heat up and to cool.
Price: More expensive! Ranges from $16 to $25 depending on where you get them done.
Remarks: There's waxing for upper-lips too. :D
Favourite Place: None. I don't really fancy paying so much each month for my brows. :p
Other Locations: Pink Parlour ($19.25), Benefit Brow Bar ($22), Strip ($25/$30-Man)
Eyebrow Shaving ❤
Pain: Zero pain (unless you cut yourself -.-')
Time: Under 3 mins
Price: Mostly FOC
Remarks: Normally comes free with facial, makeover at cosmetic counters, you can even learn to do them yourself at home too. Not recommended as hair grows out very fast since it's not removed from the roots.
Favourite Place: Home. For days my skin is all sensitive and I can only resort to shaving to tidy my brows.
Other Locations: Neighborhood salons, beauty counters, most places offers this service.
This is not an advertorial, just a regular sharing post from yours truly. Hopes this blog post helps you in choosing the best "treatment" for your brows. :)

Meetup with Lynn 17 Nov 2010
A very impromptu meet up with MY WALKING BUDDY. :D
Met at Cityhall Mrt.
First stop: Late BRUNCH @ NEWYORK NEWYORK

After brunch walked back to raffles city to check if the place which I have an eyebrow threading package had any slots. That damn place is ALWAYS booked! :( So decide to travel to my favourite eyebrow treading place.. Little India!
For some reason we decide to walk to Esplanade to take the circle line to change to NEL.
I think I remembered the station wrongly or something. hee.. :D
*by the way I really hate the bench in the station. I can't seat on it, I can't place my bag on it. I wonder why they had it in the first place?? -.-''

After eyebrow threading, we decide to walk from Little India back to Marina Square so I can buy some cheap pillows. :D
Yes, both of us actually talked and walked all the way.
On the way to Marina Square we passed by quite a few places.
Sim Lim, NAFA, BrasBasar, and Raffles City again.
There's this Christmas tree at Raffles City which you can walk into and inside there are photos of the Trees representing Raffles City for the past 10 years.

After our encounter with the tree, we walked to Marina Square, got my pillows and walked to Plaza Singapura so I can shop at Daiso! :D
Don't ask me how we walked, I only know we just walked and walked and walked, didn't rest at all for many hours. Just talk and walk.. oh and we went into many shops along the way. Like the 3 stories This Fashion store before walking to PS..
Didn't really take many photos coz my bags are quite bulky, thus difficult to take out my camera. So these are some photos I took at Plaza Singapura..

We parted after some cheap sushi dinner we packed at Carrefour. :D
Took train back.
My loots for the day!
2 Pillows for S$25 (voucher)
1 Bowl full of things from Daiso for S$18
Pen + Notebook from MPH for S$3.30 (Passion card 10% discount)

This is my bed and I share my bed with these babies. All from prize machines. :D

I walked so much today I think I lost like 5grams. :P
