MegRhythm Steam Eye Mask would be the first product I would try. I actually redeemed and received this item a while back and haven try it yet! :P So this will be the first item I will try! Can't wait to try VDL Lumilayer Primer too! Heard some raves for this product and am so happy to find this in the gift box!

I will not be using POND's Men Acne Oil Control Facial Foam, this item will be passed to my brothers to use.

The item that I'm having mixed feelings for is the sanitary pad. hahas.

Too Cool for School After School BB Foundation Lunch Box SPF37 PA++ #1- Soft Skin (Blue)

This foundation has one of the longest name! :D

So anyway in case you've not read my blog for a long while.. I was away for holidays the past week and just got back late last night(2nd). Opened my letterbox to an awesome surprise! :D

I'm one of the lucky ones (actually there's like 20 of us! :D) given the chance to try and review this product. :) If you want to know more about where I applied for projects like these (for free! no fees involved!), read THIS POST

The bigger sized product comes in a cute bottle with a special compartment with concealer and highlighter. If I win it will post photos of it up. :D Meanwhile let's focus on the foundation. :)

Had a little trouble trying to get to product out and when I finally managed to get it out, I think I squeezed like half a tube out. :( Transferred some to a clean little bottle that I use to store "opened" samples, cleaned up and start all over again. :D

Too Cool for School is a Korean Brand. :)

Testing the product on the back of my hand first.
Seems a bit lighter than my normal skin tone.

Packaging : It's really interesting and cute, but not in the cute princessy way (eg etude house).

Smell : Has a nice scent. I like it already. :D

Colour : Doesn't have the grey cast thingy but it's a little light in tone though. I'm pretty fair but it's still a little too light for me.

Texture : Thick cream, slight difficulty for me to blend (with fingers).

Coverage : Pretty average, was expecting it to have more coverage with the thick texture.

Compatibility with my skin : So far so good, no breakouts. It survived through 1 cooking and lunch session without melting much, which is not too bad in my opinion. I have combination skin so some products melts within 2 hours and you can see shiny Tzones and stuffs. The bottom left photo of my face titled "after (with flash)" is taken about 2 hours after I applied the foundation.
Looks okay in normal daylight but with camera flash the makeup makes me look kinda clownish (scary). Maybe I turned a tone darker after my trip to Taiwan?, would probably try the product again with pressed powder, concealer and highlighter.. eg the full makeup. :)

Would I purchase the product?
It's on the pending list together with a whole chunk of other foundations, CC creams and BB creams, It's not a must-buy at this moment, but I would definitely give it a few more tries to decide if it's good for future purchase. :) Giving it 4 our of 5 stars cause it has many plus points, except the tone is slightly not suitable for me.

If you like my review for this product, do support me and like my review here (click on the smiley face next to my review). :)

Thank you! :)

Sample Siao.

These are the free samples I redeemed in the past 2 months...
I know I'm so crazy. :P
Some of them I paid for postage, some came with free postage but I think it's absolutely worth it! :D

Being a stay at home mum means I don't get to go out much to try things over the counter and having samples that I choose sent to my house, saves me time and energy~ Some of the items comes in retail sizes and it's really worth much more than the postage I paid!

Where to find a few hours writing reviews?
What I currently do is I try the product and then follow by writing a short review on SampleStore, once I've done all the items in a packet I will post the reviews here. :D Good strategy right? hahas.

There's usually 2-4 types of items in a pack. I go thru them quite fast sometimes depending on what kind of items and when can I use it.. :) Like skincare will take a while cause need to use a few times to see effect. Makeup is the easiest to review hahas but it's really rare to come across makeup samples. Hope to see more makeup samples. :p

Household stuffs are also fun for me to try because though I have been staying in my own house for a while I have not really tried different stuffs. Usually buys back the same brands as it's easier for my husband to buy them and no need to spend time thinking if this is better or that is cheaper... :)

Samples Review : Hada Labo Skincare for Sensitive Skin

Alright in October I blogged about redeeming a free set of skincare product samples.
So here's the review for these babies.

Starting with Hada Labo Es Makeup Remover:
First use - Used a lot just to remove full face makeup. Not sure if it's the bottle hole too small, when I pour it out there's tiny bubbles. Smell still acceptable. Need to try product again but tentatively can confirm that it's not really a "must-buy" for me..

Next, Hada Labo Es Cleansing Foam Wash:
The only issue I have with this is the smell. :( Other than that it's pretty okay. :)
It's not too drying and very easy to use as it comes out in foam so no need to lather but I really can't like a product if it doesn't smell okay to me. So probably will not purchase it.

After cleansing, next is Hada Labo Es Lotion:
Not bad. I like this even though there's a smell it's not as strong as the facial wash. Not really sticky but it's not non-stick either. Not sure if this is toner or just lotion/serum?

Our of the 4, this is my favourite: Hada Labo Es Milk:
Would most probably purchase this when my usual moisturizer runs out. Not used to the smell but I adore it's lightweight and non-sticky feel. I have combination skin so usually uses gel type moisturizer as they are not too rich. Cream type always doesn't work on me. :( This milk type is alright for me. Will consider to purchase this. :)

Free set of skincare products for sensitive skin.

Recently got this set of Hada Labo skincare product for free, with free posting too! :D

Read on to find out how you can get it too! :)

SampleStore recently relaunched with a super cute packaging.

Other than looking sweet, the new packaging is a tough material which can withstand the weight of heavy samples and also not tear when comes in contact with water. :)

The previous packaging is paper material (normal envelope) so if it rains when the postman is doing their rounds, it can get wet and tear..

Anyway... Lots of people says it looks like a pack of gummies (candies) and my husband who opened the letterbox thought someone send me a present. Which is quite true because it's free so yes it's a present.. but it's a present that I choose! heh heh..

Nicely Bubble Wrapped! :)

Even better news.. the sample size have Increased!
It used to be just 1 sachet, now it's either in small bottles or a few sachets!
Can last for 1-2weeks! So you can really tell if the product is really working for you!
Awesome right? :D

This 4 piece set is fully sponsored!
Don't even need to pay for shipping at all!
Cleanser, Make Up Remover, Toner, Moisturizer.

The sample didn't come in English so I had to stick my own labels.. :P
