You're So Sweet

Hello friends.  Joy today showing you a Gift Tag I made using supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

The  brown designer paper is from Lady Rose by KaiserCraft. This was cut and then placed on a square of white card stock that had been embossed with the embossing folder by Crafts Too called Scrollworks.

The sentiment 'You're So Sweet', from Hugs and Kisses Sentiments by JustRite, was stamped on one of the die cuts from Lady Rose. This was attached to a folded square piece of the Lady Rose paper. This 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad has 4 pages of the most beautiful die cuts you have ever seen!

A hole was punched in the corner and a little Eggshell Seam Binding bow, was added so that the tag could be attached to the handles of a gift bag.

Thank you for looking at my project.  Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Good Thoughts

Hello there! It's Gracie, and I'm happy to have the chance to share with you a card I made using gorgeous supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such!

I love to add encouraging sentiments to my cards, and Classy Cards 'n Such carries many beautiful stamp sets with uplifting messages. Today my card features one of these stamps, with a saying I firmly believe in.

I started out by die cutting a base layer from Stardream Rose Quartz using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. Then I die cut a filigree frame using Our Daily Bread's Vintage Flourish Pattern.

The patterned paper I used is actually digital, and I printed it on White Pearl Linen  Next I stamped and heat embossed in Gold Detail, a sentiment from Inky Antics Holy Spirit's Fruit stamp set. Centering the already stamped sentiment, I die cut the cardstock with a gorgeous new die from Spellbinders called Victorian Medallion Two, and stenciled the center with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar.

Before mounting all the pieces to my pink card base, I added a piece of gross grain white ribbon across the center of the layers, vertically. (You could use Egg Shell Seam Binding and color to your needs). Next I adhered the layers to the card base, followed by the medallion right on the center. Finally, I added a small bow on the bottom of the medallion, embellished with a gold vintage button.

I hope I've inspired you today both with the beautiful sentiment, as well as with the card itself! Stripes 'n Snowflakes

Hello friends! It's Gracie today! It's time for a fun new challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such - Christmas Brights.

I decided to mix a few patterns with bright colors to create my card this week!

I used Spellbinders dies to make my card. First, I die cut a striped layer and a yellow layer with A2 Matting Basics A. I cut the yellow layer to make a horizontal block, adding borders and ribbon to it. I die cut two Fancy Label Tags Two, cut them in half and used them as borders, adhering them to the back with Scor-Tape. Then I used Classic Edges Two, together with Classic Decorative Inserts Three, to die cut another border that I adhered on the front of the yellow block.

I added aqua ribbon and mounted the embellished block to the center of the card. *NOTE - you could used the
Seam Binding - Eggshell and use a marker, ink pad, distress spray or stain, or even glimmer mist to make it match any color in your project. Many of these are availabile under the Coloring, more tab at Classy Cards 'n Such.*

I die cut a large snowflake with the Snowflake Pendant set from Spellbinders, and a Snowflake set from Stampendous. I double mounted the snowflakes to give them more dimension, and embellished them with some Silver Baby Rhinestones.

Thinking of You

Hello, Joy here today with Classy Cards 'n Such.  I needed a quick card for a friend and put this one together for her.

The paper is from a 6x6 paper pad called Lady Rose from Kaisercraft.

The tag was die cut using the Spellbinders die set called  Fancy Tags.

The Thinking of you sentiment is by JustRite and called Hugs and Kisses Sentiments.

The ribbon is Eggshell Seam Binding by Hug Snug.  I'll tell you a secret. I stink at making bows, except for this seam binding!  It just seems to fall right and fold so neatly!  I just love it!  You can make this ribbon match any color by spritzing on a little color.

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Happy Birthday To You

Good morning, Joy here, posting a card that was made using some great supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  Some days ago I posted a card for a sunflower challenge, with a Happy Birthday sentiment.  This is the card I made using the background left over from the sentiment.

I backed it with a piece of blue card stock and layered that on top of some beautiful paper from Graphic 45 called Botanical Tea.  It has some gorgeous paper in blue, green, pink and a pretty creamy brown. The Happy Birthday Background die is from Poppy Stamps.

I used some Egg Shell Seam Binding and then placed a little flower called Sugar Blooms in the middle of the bow. These are so very, very light with a little sprinkling of glitter. There are 10 different colors in a package.

If it's your birthday, consider this a Happy Birthday wish for you. I hope you have a great day with ice cream and cake!

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Bouquet on Wood

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today.  Have you played in the Background challenge this week?  I love stamping with my background stamps, and I pulled out two of them to use on this card today.

I stamped the Wood Texture Cover-A-Card background stamp onto some Kraft cardstock with a brown ink, and then I sponged the edges with the same brown ink.  Next, I stamped a small strip of green paper with the gorgeous Tapestry 2 - Cover-A-Card background stamp.  I cut out a white border from the Ankara Lace Border die and glued that under the strip of green paper, and then I glued this piece onto the wooden background.

Next, I cut out the gorgeous Blushing Bouquet die from white paper, and while the die cut was still inside the die, I sponged on some pink ink over the flower petals. There are holes in the steel die that are specially made so you can sponge color onto the flower petals - so cool! After I pushed the paper out of the die, I could see the gorgeous pink sponging.  I then used a Copic marker to color the leaves and stems the same pale green shade as my paper.

I adhered the flower bouquet to my background piece, and then I affixed some Mother of Pearl Rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.  The colors in the rhinestones are a perfect match to the colors I've used on this card.  Next I tied some Chalk White Seam Binding around the background piece, and then I glued this down to a green card base.

Why don't you try mixing up your background stamps and see what you can put together?  It's fun to see all the different combinations of background stamps!  I hope you play along in our challenge this week!

Your card is so pretty! Thanks Holly!

Stained Mesh Bouquet

Hi again, it's Holly posting today!

I pulled out some supplies and spent a day experimenting with various things, and this card is the result of some of those experiments.

When I started experimenting, I laid the Texture Mesh stencil down on white cardstock and then I started pouncing the three distress stains all over the stencil.  I carefully lifted the stencil off and cleaned it, and I set the paper aside to dry completely.

The Zinnia Bouquet die was cut from white cardstock and I used the Lemonade and Mowed Lawn Tim Holtz Distress Stains to color the flowers and the leaves.  This worked like a charm!  I'm definitely going to do this again with my fine line die cuts!  While these flowers were drying, I cut out the Zinnia Bouquet Background flower pieces from dark brown cardstock.

As soon as the flowers were dry, I glued the brown background pieces to each flower, then I covered the flowers with glue and Crystal Ice glitter.  Love the subtle shine and shimmer!  The flowers were glued to my mesh stencil background at a slight angle.

Next, I cut off a length of the Seam Binding, sprayed it with a little water, and then pounced all over it with the Squeezed Lemonade distress stain.  The ribbon was crumpled up in my hands and I set it aside to dry completely.

Meanwhile, I stamped the sentiment from the With Love stamp set, and cut it out with an oval die.  Once the ribbon was dry, I wrapped it around the bottom of the background piece and tied it with a bow.  The sentiment was adhered over the ribbon with the Joy Foam Pads.

This was a FUN experiment!  I have many other colors of Distress Ink Stains, and I am curious to see how the different colors will look with the stencils.  It was also a happy surprise to find out that the stains are AWESOME for coloring really fine die cuts like I've used here.  Simply pounce the color on and wait for it to dry.  No tugging or pulling or worrying about breaking the die cut.

A lovely card for a special person! Thanks Holly!
