My mother and I went shopping today. It's very cold here now, and she wanted a knitted winter hat but didn't want to knit one herself.

But did the store have any winter hats? Of course not, it's winter! They have clothing for spring and summer, though, including bathing suits.

Oh!!! Actially I wasn´t going for the bikinis (though you are right on this one!!!) - the hallstand has the symbol of the fylfot or swastika . Which is really not good, taken the bad time in history we had here...

Oh, Iris, I completely missed the way that the rack was arranged in the shape of a swastika!

We had this controversy here in the US. A building in California was identified as having a swastika shape when it was seen on Google Earth. Once this was pointed out, the owners of the building (the US Navy) said that they planned to spend a lot of money to try to hide the shape of this building, even though the shape was only apparent when it was viewed from the sky!

I think that this swastika might have been a useful shape for a building or a clothing rack, and there is no need to avoid it. When this shape is used to promote hateful beliefs or actions, well, that's another matter entirely.

Oh, my! Maybe we all should just get over that whole subject!
On the other hand... it´s sadly very alive here with the so-called Neo-Ns... And hence I just fail to understand how someone (a Designer?) can come up with a rack like that - useful or not, a basic knowledge of our history should be present, no?
