Finally... Rain
It was cloudy and foggy all day at work.
And when I entered Braunschweig I found myself in rain.
Brought the car to the garage to let it get changed to winter-tyres (let´s hope this was unnecessary!).
1 hour, they told me.
So I took my cheapy-car-brolly and took off to the bakery.
Ahhhh, don´t you love the rain?
Always bitter-sweet to leave or arrive, I think.
Better stay in town, no?
Sometimes, at least.
After 50 minutes I was back and the sales-mate gave me a very strange look - just a sec before he´d sent me an sms that my car is ready :-)
Back home...
Luckily I still have kale, not kale soup!
Yes. Kale. Me.
Ingo isn´t allowed k-vitamins, hence I was on my own.
Saturday a bit over half an hour cooking, then 2 1/2 hours simmering with just occasionally checking, Sunday another 1 hour of simmering to get the rest of the meat ready.
Four times kale for me. In a row.
The joy of being single, food-wise.
And, let me tell you: Wasn´t even that bad, this cooking-thing.
Won´t becoming a hobby of mine, but... I did it.
Ingo tasted a wee bit and said: Yummy!

Love that first photo, very cool!
I've got to give you a recipe for the Portuguese Kale Soup with Chorizo, it's delicious.
I wouldn't mind that recipe too Sami 😊 I love cooking Iris, you get one of Jamie's recipe books.. I bet you'd get right into it.. Ingo would love it!
Thank you for the credit, Sami. Peeps looked at me as if I were crazy, work-bag over the shoulder, brolly in hand, bending down to take that pic :-)
Yes, I´m in for the receipe! In a soup you cannot burn stuff, right?
Hehe, Grace. I do have... pic to come!
I'll email you both the recipe Grace and Iris.
Great!
