Cheers!

I admit. It hurts a tad. "Craft Bier Bar", they could say "Craft Beer Bar" or "handwerklich gebrautes Bier-Lokal", at tad long, maybe... LOL.

Friday we went to Blockhouse and later got some real beer here.

As you can guess, we were rather early as in... the only guests at first.

We hence took a chance at the service, by golly, you get not only advice, you get tastes! Just like in Perth!

Those of you who know Ingo personally can guess... he started chatting with the guy.
A student at TU (technical university) who also learned professionally to brew beer.

Well, and occasionally works at this place.
His parents had been to New Zealand, which certainly made a bridge to Perth.
And it´s beers.

In case you have to go, you know where to. One tiny loo per boy or girl.
Enough in that small place, too.

There were other guests, but he came back chatting to us - for such a young guy (end-twenties/early thirties) he was wise, well-educated, fun to talk to!

It reminds me a bit of Sail & Anchor in Freo.

According to his parents New Zealand is awesome.
But he wants to explore Europe first!!! Can you believe this?! With his girlfriend the Jakobsweg is next! A Pilgrimage!

Well, better do this whilst you´re young, huh?

My beer btw had a touch of coffee, yum. Sadly most beers are of "high voltage", say 6+%, way too much for my liking or what Ingo is allowed, health-wise.

Yum and fun it was anyways!
Lion of the day:

That arm did cost € 3 000!
Oh, so much money and it´s all black, too much for my liking, you hardly see a thing!
But if it makes him happy, I like the Lion :-)

As this one, too!

This tattoo dates back to 2010 when our American Football team was still named The Braunschweig Lions!
This is the original logo.

The title btw... I´m off soon to my Niece - she turns 9!!!

Linking to Tom's Signs2.

...I know that I'm an old guy, but it's hard to understand all the excitement about craft beers and tattoos. Will someone please explain this to me! Oh and thanks for the translation for the girl's and boy's rooms, that could be embarrassing. Thanks Iris for stopping by, enjoy a brew!

Have to say quite a few people have tattoo and the shop usual charge $50 to $200 hour. I am planning to get one the end of the month.

Tom, I reckon Germany is just a tad behind in everything... but, yes, craft-beer is better than standard.

Oh, Grace, we sure look forward to the new places! Yes, this lion-tamer really was a nice guy! 9 years, can you believe this! And she´s so adult already!

Sami, thank you, we sure had fun. I agree, 3 000 is "a tad" too much...

William, serious is sure the right word!

Dora, oh, I thought Germany is behind with the craft beers and co! ;-) Well, have "fun" getting your tattoo!

Recognize Tin Tin who always brings a smile. Love craft beer. The people who make it care about their product. Lovely signs.

sccollections, what can I say but cheers :-)

Taken For Granted, yes, they brew with love, you can really taste it, literally.

I know what you mean about "craft beer." As Rick says, "I want my beer to taste like beer, not grapefruit salad." Sometimes they get too creative for their own good!
