A smudge on a piece of paper, that is me.
Ingo dropped something, I cleaned up.
What else, eh. I laughed at the outcome, I did.
Don´t we all. Laugh at everything.
I have.... found a great job. It´s stressy and Ingo puts it down cause I work from home.
I´m a house-wife.
Like any house-wife I´m an engineer, too, and now I even know why I get this money.
A long weekend. After all the stress my hopes were in the air, hiiiiigh up. And I fell down, hard, too hard.
Good thing: I´ll keep EMIL!
My dear companion since I moved to Braunschweig, a kid´s chair.
I sit there 8-9 hours a working day and it´s OK.
Ingo wanted to buy me a "comphy" chair, nooooo, I have my EMIL.
Sad side note: Ingo´d combined it with Kentucky-you-know-what and this did not happen, either.
To my EMIL, right. 😍
He left a huge print in my heart, helped me along not only as chair but when I need to reach up high, too - he´s a winner!
I am glad I keep him, and yes, to a German a chair is male.
Er, der Stuhl. Er, mein EMIL.
Henry 🦁
If Henry approves all is good, right?
Two posts, sorry, if you care here goes...

Here with us Stoel is also male. Strange that it's not always the same
Bertiebo
In French it is feminine - la chaise.
But if it's a bench it's masculine - le banc.
If you have a comfy chair, then I'd keep it. My husband wants me to get a new comfy chair for the new art space. I have a freebie hard chair with wheels, but it works for me. If I was too comfy I wouldn't work, and I'm messy so I'd probably ruin the chair quickly. My art space is a work room, not a place to just look nice. Anyhow, enjoy the end of your weekend. And I like Emil. I had an uncle named that. Hugs-Erika
If it's your favorite chair and it's comfy then you must keep it.If it's too hard to sit in all day working than you still much keep it but go for a comfy chair for work.
I think its awesome you c can work from home. when I was working I always over an hour commute drive each way-I did not like that at all.

Ingo is jealous that you get to work from home. And it's your workspace so you get to pick the chair you want to sit in and how you decorate the area. Enjoy your long weekend.
Here's to Emil! If you're comfy and your back is OK in that chair, why not keep it? Or if you get another, at least keep Emil for whatever or wherever you choose. He's a longtime friend!
David, I work for Alstom - don´t tell, but I do speak French ;-)

Erika, yay, thank you for your support! And Emil says hello, too! Hugs to you :-) xx

Kathy,, yes. I got up 4:40 am to avoid traffic and drove to Wolfsburg every working day, never seeing the customer, how stupid, expensive, dangerous and... did I mention stupid? All the time lost, too?! Yay for better times and hugs :-)

Padre, my hand on this ;-)

CJ, it´s a tough world after all.
Ingo works with heavy machines, so... not a chance to work at/from home...

Jeanie, whatever happens, Emil will never have to go!!!
I never thought a chair could be a friend, but it really feels like it!
A comfortable chair is essential if you work from home.
We have one of those kids chairs. I find it comfortable, but the taller folks around here do not lol
Henry seems serious about the decision.
Chairs are on my mind too... I have been slouching too much and need a chair more like yours.
Language teachers always say that grammatical genders don't affect native speakers' perceptions of the objects that are "M" or "F" or "N" -- but it's clearly not true. IF English speakers want to personify an object we mostly can take our choice of "M" or "F" except for ships and a few other things.

We all need a comfy chair.
Coffee is on and stay safe
