Today I join Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date with Favorite Birds.
I should be happy and SWIIIIING... after all... Ingo, after I introduced a cheapy-swing in 2008 after his recovery bought a better one in 2011 for our new home:
I should be happy because...
- Passed all my tests so far - being 30+years older than the others.
- am on holiday... "holiday" - all by myself in shitty weather and with
- a hurting body, I still cannot sit for long, doing sport? hahahaha
At least I got rid of some electronics as fK just picked them up to legally bring the stuff away!
Dinner....Ingo gave a bit of the milk-schnitzel again. I added half a rösti and an egg.
The series:
"Typical habits of the 60s that would be unimaginable today
It was considered appropriate in schools because it was also a common method of disciplining children at home."
I am that old.... yes. At home only.

You've drawn such a cute picture Iris.
I can say I was never punished in school, and at home my Mom (never my Dad) gave me a couple of hidings on my behind. Nowadays kids don't get disciplined at all... they "have to learn to regulate their emotions".
Thank you, Sami and yes, mostly Mum was "disciplining" me - in the face... Dad once and like in the pic - and I am still alive 😉
Love the swinging! That's so creative. We got spanked, but not often. And usually earned it lol.
That's a cute penguin. Or should I say Swinguin. And no, I don't see too many books. But then, what is too many books? And your mini schnitzel and egg look so tasty right now. It's making me hungry. Hope your day is going well. hugs-Erika
...penguins are a favorite of mine too. Last night on TV I saw a show on penguins, there are 18 different kinds and New Zealand has the most penguins in the world.
Swinguin. Swinging penguin. I love it! Corporal punishment at school. I went to parochial school with nuns! Congrats on passing your exams.
Swing On My Dear And Congrats With The Test Taking
Stay Hip ,
Cheers
Love the new word you coined Swinguin!
My parents never hit me. Although my mother has threatened me with the vacuum cleaner once. I was very annoying then and we both got the giggles
Cute art!
I love penguins, Iris.
Well. We learned, huh? Let´s swing...
The Swinguin says thank you and yes. friend fK was here :-) So a good day. Also got a kiss from Ingo! Hugs and thank you!
THAT was what I spared - Nuns spanking (actually doing sports as in baseball or such!)
Hippedee-hip, dear friend, cheers!
Yes, a task for some un-creative person like me!!
WHAT???? That would be some cool story, as you laughed afterwards - wanna share???
Monday mural host Sami took us to Penguin Island...
Thank you.
Walking penguins are funny to see. I seen a program about them a few years ago.
There’s a lot of heart in this post—bittersweet but grounded. Life brings its aches, but you’ve still got that swing and a sense of humor. That counts for more than most things.
Hey, it was done in the 1950's too. My dad told our principle in school that he was NOT allowed to spank us.
LOTS of good things to be hppy about!
RedPat, Sami gave us a tour on Penguin Island!
Yes, so cute, and see youngsters swim!
Thank you, I needed something positive!
You had a great Dad!
Yes!!! I know! And am thankful!
I am old enough to be your mother and I was NEVER smacked at home. None of us were and I never smacked my kids either. None in my whole extended family were ever smacked as punishment.
At school kids who were really naughty got sent to the headmasters office where they were "caned" but that was stopped before I even finished grade three, that would be 1960. It's against the law now.
LOL! You do not eat Swedish or other people and you smack none! Also you are young enough to be my friend!
