Last Order from Custom Crops! :(

Ever since I received Custom Crops "Going Out of Business Sale" newsletter, I quickly head to Custom Crops to select the best price items I can get.

As always, my priority goes to Lawn Fawn products. All the Lawn Fawn products are really on sale! If I could and have the budget, I wish I just can add all those dies and stamps into the cart! But unfortunately, I do not have that kind of budget.....:( Thus, I have to be careful with my selection.

Lawn Fawn Circle Stackables

First goes into my selection is the stackables dies. I have selected circle and scalloped circle stackables dies but not the puffy star stackables cause I feel like I seldom make star cards. I actually have both nesting circle and classic scalloped circle from Spellbinder. However, they do not coordinate or stackable or nesting well into each other as the sizes are not the same. If I need them to nest/stack nicely, I need to purchase another two sets. After evaluating such circumstances, I tell myself better to get Lawn Fawn circle and scalloped circle stackables dies as it is more practical and suitable for me. As for the Spellbinder nesting circle and classic scalloped circle, I will let go after this.

The next things go into my selection is Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park clear stamp and coordinating dies or lawn cuts. I just love this stamp set! The dogs are cute and lovely! Not to mention that this Critters at the Dog Park stamp really coordinates well with Critters in the 'Burb stamp as evidenced by few card makers. I just have to get this Critters at the Dog Park stamp into my collection. I bet my daughter would love some dog images!

Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends Lawn Cuts

Well, these four (4) things alone has cost me a lot and has over limit my usual budgeted amount. But then, this is the last chance I can get the best discounted price items! So, I went on to get another Lawn Fawn lawn cuts - the Making Frosty Friends lawn cuts. I have the stamp set but I have to admit I rarely use it. However, I still want to have its lawn cuts because with it, I think I might start to use it much. I can die cuts a bunch of snowman and ask my daughter to mix and match its accessories.

I pick another wishlist which is the Lawn Fawn Year Two. I especially like the sentiment 'belated' as well as the turtle indicating its slowness of sending birthday wishes which is reflecting myself most of the time! I know, I know.....need to change that habit but sometimes things are not happening as we planned. So, this is a good mini stamp set to these occasions. :P

My Favorite Things Pure Innocence I Pick You Stamp Set

The last item I put into the cart is My Favorite Things Pure Innocence I Pick You stamp. I just could not resist the cute girl holding a bunch of flowers which can be used for lot of occasions - birthday, thanks, friendship and etc!

Well, that sum up the items I want to get from Custom Crops for the last time! In the end, after adding up the shipping charges, I end up ordering the most expensive order - close up to USD$100! For those in the USA, USD$100 might be a small amount but for me, it is a hole in my wallet! But then, I this is my last order and I am glad that I able to get most of my wishlist from Custom Crops "Going Out of Business Sale" and my last support towards them.

It took Custom Crops a while, 12 days to be exact to ship out my parcel whereby usually they takes about one to two days to ship out the parcel. I guess it is really a lot of people taking advantage of Custom Crops "Going Out of Business Sale". Then, few days ago, I received a refund confirmation from Custom Crops. The Lawn Fawn Year Two stamp is not available.....:(

The most expensive parcel finally arrived today and it is a relief because it really hurts a lot on both financially and emotionally if the parcel is missing. Since I purchased another set of nesting dies, both of my nesting circle and classic scalloped circle from Spellbinder will be let go.

I sincerely send my best wishes to Custom Crops and its staffs for the best service they have served me throughout these two (2) years plus.

Custom Crops is Closing Down! :(

Yesterday, I saw message on Custom Crops Facebook page that it has a big, big sale soon! I am excited as it means for great bargain and saving! However, when I received Custom Crops shocking newsletter today, I am sad and wish that this is not the final sale I will be getting from Custom Crops! Custom Crops is closing down!!!

The sale is known as "Going Out of Business Sale". Then, it mention that Custom Crops is closing and all items on sale from 25% discount to 75% discount. The newsletter further explains that due to the economy, Custom Crops decided to close their shop and advises us to shop now until 18 June 2014 for amazing deals on of our favorite items. The last day to place an order is 18 June 2014 and supplies are limited (means once sold out, no replenishment). Custom Crops strongly advise us to order early for the best selection. It also mentioned that no further price reductions will be taken and all sales are final; no returns, refunds or exchanges. Custom Crops also disclaimer that all products are sold "as is" and they reserve the right to limit quantities.

It is really sad that Custom Crops is closing as I been getting my stamp sets and supplies from them for over two (2) years now. Their price is really competitive even during non sale period. I guess that is one of the reasons why they are closing down - perhaps their profit is not enough to cover everything.

I anticipate this time will be my biggest spending I have with Custom Crops as I never get the competitive price they offer somewhere else. I told my husband this shocking news and he is understood my needs to get whatever I can get from this last sale from Custom Crops. Thanks, hubby and heading to Custom Crops for final order!

Is National Scrapbooking Day (NSD) in the US on 03 May 2014 and it means more sale! I know Custom Crops will have a sale too like last year with some big discount. Anxiously, I wait for the newsletter announcing the sale and it came on 03 May 2014. But the discount start from 25% to 45%, a 5% decrease from 2013 NSD sale. Nevertheless, I still seek a peek at my favorite brands if I can get a great bargain on this sale.

As usual, my first priority is to Lawn Fawn products. I browse through the products and sorting the price from low to high. Those 12x12 pattern papers come into view first but did not interest me as usual. I skip them and my eyes landed on Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love stamp set which is at the price of less than USD$9! Upon seeing that price, without any hesitation, I just add that stamp set into my cart. I seldom buy Christmas stamp set as I have a few that I think is good enough for me to survive for the season. But Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love stamp set has lots of stamps that you can build those season cards! Thanks goodness it was this cheap which enable me to own it!

Paper Smooches A Little Lovin'

Then, I browse through the rest of Lawn Fawn products but nothing else that interest me - pricing wise. So, I move on to other brands that I have interest in and finally landed on Paper Smooches products. Well, well, well. The entire Paper Smooches products was on 25% off! Usually Custom Crops will have up to maximum of 15% discount on Paper Smooches products and with this new discount, it was a great saving for me! So, I weighted my choices on the Paper Smooches products as I have limited budget. Finally, I settled for Paper Smooches A Little Lovin' stamp set. I love this set so much as there are many cute images on this set especially the elephant mother and her baby. I see a lot of usage on that image either for welcoming newborn or sending hugs and kisses.

Tsukineko Memento Dye Reinkers - Tuxedo Black

As there still some 'room' in my budget, I have included Tsukineko Memento Dye Reinkers - Tuxedo Black to my order. Recently, I feel that my Tsukineko Memento Dye ink pad is not that 'juicy' anymore. Thus, I think it is time for me to refill the ink inside the ink pad.

I made my payment on the same day as the sale was last till midnight. Then, after about six (6) days later, an e-mail shipping notification came to acknowledge that my parcel has been shipped. Almost two weeks later, today, my parcel finally arrived! I am lucky that I am at home today to receive the parcel as usually I expect the postman drop it to my mailbox. But this time, Custom Crops sent me a small box instead - a 8" (W) x 4" (H) x 4" (D) box. I was curious as why it is so and quickly open up the box. It is because I ordered that Tsukineko Memento Dye Reinkers - Tuxedo Black which cannot be included in a padded envelope!

Hope I get to play with these new stamp sets soon!

Today I received a refund note from Custom Crops which surprised me as I did not have any recent purchases with Custom Crops. The last order was safely arrived with 'all the items' as per my order. At first, I thought that it was a scam e-mail or what but I still open up the e-mail and read the content. Well, it seem that not 'all the items' was delivered. I had actually purchased Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares - White on my last order but Custom Crops did not ship it due to out of stock and I do not realize it until Custom Crops refund me! I am not sure at first and search for my invoice and indeed, I have purchased the Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares - White! I do not even realize something is missing when I received my parcel! Guess during that time, I am just too happy receiving my stamp sets and forgotten about what I have ordered. Thanks Custom Crops for being so honest and refund me! I told my husband about the incident and he teased me that I been shopping online these few months and forgotten what I have actually bought. Silly me.....:O

Mini Doily Dies and New Blending Tool!

15 April 2014 is Tax Day in USA and Custom Crops sent another newsletter that they are having sale on that day which all items are at 15% off! You may ask why I am excited about it since I had a purchase done back in January 2014 with 75% off. Yes, there is a sale up to 75% off in January 2014 but most of the items are in 10% off and only selected products (mostly and luckily most of the selected products are Lawn Fawn products) are at 50% or 75% off. Thus, I am not able to get other brands from that sale. But this time sale, all items are at 15% off which means I able to look at other brands item! Yay!

Since it is all items on 15% off, I am looking at one of my long wished item, My Favorite Things (MFT) Die-Namics Mini Doily Circle. I wanted this die so much as first, it is valuable for the price I paid as I get to have four (4) mini doily circle. Second, I have seen this mini doily circle in so many creative and incredible project and most importantly, it fits my bookmark project which I wanted to make so much!

Well, with 15% off, this My Favorite Things (MFT) Die-Namics Mini Doily Circle is much, much more valuable as usually Custom Crops will only have 10% off on My Favorite Things (MFT) products. For some, 5% extra discount might not be anything but for me, it is a lot. This is mainly due to the exchange rate and shipping charges. Buying craft products in USA means that I do not get to enjoy the 'free shipping' that always mentioned by the vendors. That is a negative points and means that I need to save whenever I can save.

The next item I pick is the new Ranger mini ink blending tool. I cannot help myself not to buy this after saw Jennifer McGuire introduction video on it. It is just seem so useful and easier to control. Thus, I give it a try. Furthermore, I am in need of new blending tool as my distress ink collection are growing. :P

Payment was made on the same day but parcel was shipped one (1) week later. I guess there are so much orders to deal with. Well, Custom Crops delivery transit is always faster that other vendors I encountered as about one (1) weeks plus later, today, the parcel has arrived! I am so excited to want use these dies and blending tool already. Hopefully, I can spare some times for them soon!

Like the previous order, Custom Crops did not include any free gift or sample. It is just my items and a delivery order.

My Favorite Things (MFT) Bookmark Duo Stamps and Dies

When I was shopping at Custom Crops yesterday, I am also shopping at Simon Says Stamp. If you know me well, Simon Says Stamp would be my last choice if I am not really desperate of that item. I rarely shop at Simon Says Stamp mainly because due to they did not offer much discount and the flat rate shipping charges. But I do shop at their eBay store instead which is much better shipping charges and you can save a lot if Simon Says Stamp is having an auction!

But there is one item that I wanted so desperately, the My Favorite Things (MFT) Bookmark Duo Die-namics and stamp set! Earlier, Custom Crops also have this MFT Bookmark Duo Die-namics but the stamp set is different version, the later version known as MFT Bookmark Basic. I really wanted to have the original MFT Bookmark Duo stamp set as the image inside this set is so wonderful especially the 'save' icon image. Thus, I do a last search online to see if any other vendors have this original MFT Bookmark Duo stamp set before I gave up and settle to have MFT Bookmark Basic from Custom Crops.

Well, Simon Says Stamp have the original MFT Bookmark Duo stamp set together with the Bookmark Duo Die-namics! But the price is a bit pricey as it combine both the dies and stamp set. Unlucky for me, they do not sell both the dies and stamp set separately. Thus, I need to buy them together although MFT Bookmark Duo Die-namics is way cheap at Custom Crops.

Since Simon Says Stamp charge tier total order price flat rate shipping, I better utilize the price gap set to get most of the shipping charges I paid. Thus, I have selected the new Tim Holtz distress ink mini cubes. I been collecting and growing my distress ink pads before this but I not a frequent distress ink user. However, having distress ink mini cubes really help in collecting and growing the collection while suit to my not frequent usage! Yay! Custom Crops also offer these distress ink mini cubes but the kit or set is limited while Simon Says Stamp have more choices.

After adding that Tim Holtz distress ink mini kit #4 into the cart, I just realize that this one order is the most expensive order that I ever spent! Well, I could not care more since the original MFT Bookmark Duo stamp set has been out of product and only Simon Says Stamp still have the stock. Thus, I must get it before it is too late. Furthermore, I am just treating this as my birthday (13 April) present to myself! :P

I cannot wait for them to arrive safely!

More Lawn Fawn Wish List Fulfilled!

Custom Crops sent another newsletter on their Winter Clearance Sale on 15 January 2014 which offer up to 75% off! Well, it just means I might get myself another hole in my wallet! Aarrrgghhhhh.....

Well, I am so relieve that I took a peek onto my favorite Lawn Fawn on this sale! My long waited wish list, Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm stamp set and its matching dies are on very great bargain! Can you imagine that the Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm stamp set is only at USD$6.75?! The last order of similar size of stamp set cost me USD$7.57 and now this is even cheaper! I am just so happy!

As mention previously, I would not buy the matching dies if there are not on sale. But this time, the Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm Lawn Cuts is on sale as well. Thus, I grab that as well since it has been my long waited wish list as well. I have so many ideas on using both the Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm stamp set and well its matching dies.

Another of my long waited wish list, Lawn Fawn Tag, You're It Dies is also on great sale price! I always wanted a tag dies as I love to make bookmarks and tags because I am a reader. I always dream of making my own bookmarks and tags to go along with my favorite books with some custom or funny sentiments or inspiration phrases. But all other companies tag dies are just too expensive or their sizes not suitable for me or versus the money paid. However, when Lawn Fawn launch their Lawn Fawn Tag, You're It Dies, this dies goes first into my wish list. Now, I am finally owning it!

Although there are other items on great sale, I really have to limit myself as for the past few months, I been buying but have no chance to use them. If I keep on like this, my dear hubby is going to nag me! Thus, I finalized my order on 17 January 2014. However, Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm stamp set is out of stock and need to back order when my order is placed but the sale price is still valid. This is why it is great to buy from Custom Crops. Their sale price is still remain even the stock is temporary out.

Finally, my order was shipped on 04 February 2014, about two (2) weeks plus after my order is placed. I cannot complaint much as this is the lowest of all the stamp sets I ever bought! This is a great bargain and waiting for a little long do not really cost me much as well. I guess I am the 'late majority' type in marketing context because I always makes purchases of the stamp sets often when the prices fall and the product has become the universally accepted. You cannot blame me as Malaysia currency exchange with the US dollar is quite high. Usually I end up spending at least RM100+ for three (3) or four (4) items only. Thus, the cheaper the item, it is greater for me as I can make room for other items.

Fast forward two (2) weeks plus, my long wished items are here in my hands! However, I am a bit disappointed with Custom Crops as there is no free sample in my order! I guess this year Custom Crops have changed their policy or stop giving out free sample. I hope Custom Crops will continue in the future on the free sample as these pattern paper samplers do really useful in card making (though I have not use any of them yet :0).

Another newsletter from Custom Crops on 26 November 2013 stating that they are having Pink Tuesday sale with all items marked 25% off! They also stated that more than 1000 items marked 50% off! How could I resist myself not to take a peek at Custom Crops?!

Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Dies

Well, guess what?! Some of my favorite Lawn Fawn stamp and dies are really at least 45% plus off the Custom Crops' usual non sale price! Please note that during non sale period, Custom Crops already have their price at 10% discount off the Manufacturer's Recommended Sale Price (MRSP). This is just so unbelievable! As two (2) weeks earlier I already have a purchase, I really have to keep my spending this time as little as possible or I burn a big hole in my wallet. Thus, I carefully selecting my most favorite and wanted products.

For this time, I have chosen to take Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Dies which I wanted it so much as it really useful in many projects. Furthermore, this dies only cost me USD$7.57 which usually sell at USD$13.49! It is so worth now? Another stamp set that is also at incredibly cheap at this price is the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops! I always wanted a wood grain background but most of the other stamp company have it in wood mounted which I do not prefer much due to space constraints. But when I got to know Lawn Fawn have it in clear stamp, this set when directly to my wish list and now I will own it! *big smile*

Apart from that, I also grab a matching dies to my existing stamp set, the Lawn Fawn Winter Owl dies. After so many incident of sales from Custom Crops, I realize that some of the stamp sets will be on incredibly sale but not the matching dies during the same sale. But when the next sale came, the matching die will be incredibly on sale. Thus, moving forward, I will restrain myself to purchase the matching dies only when they are really on sale. I will never purchase both the stamp set and matching dies together as first, it kind of cost me more and secondly, I usually do not immediate use the stamp and if I am to use the stamp, I can go without the dies first.

I finalized the order on 27 November 2013 and after about a week later, 05 December 2013, Custom Crops informs that my parcel has been shipped. Well, cannot really blame them on the slowness in posting my parcel as it is almost Christmas time! I bet there sure will be lots of orders and rushing delivery.

Finally, about a week and a half later, today, my items are here! I guess I gotten the most of the pattern paper samplers on this order (perhaps it is because of Christmas season as well). These nine (9) pieces of pattern paper samplers are based on Christmas theme. Well, it is definitely useful for some Christmas cards project which I hope I can make more next year before the holiday!

More Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies!!!

Another Custom Crops newsletter mentioning that they are having stamping, ink and ribbon sale. I did not put up a high hope as it says stamping which means can be stamping tools and not the stamp sets. Anyhow, I hop over to Custom Crops for a peek, just in case. :P

Well, well, well. Stamp sets are on sale as well! Guess what? Some of the Lawn Fawn stamps are just incredibly cheap! Just like the Critters in Costume which only cost USD$7.50! I guess Custom Crops have it on sale due to the Halloween was over.

Although Critters in Costume is so incredibly cheap, I have some hold back on these set as most of the images are mean for Halloween. I have doubts whether to purchase this set or not. I did some research if I can use these images for non Halloween projects. There are and I started to imagine how each images can be used for non Halloween projects. Finally, I made up my mind to have this set.

However, the Critters in Costume Lawn Cuts or the matching dies are double the price of the stamp set in which I have doubts again. After much consideration, I decided to have the matching dies as well as it really save me a lot of time for fussy cutting. Not to mention save a lot of time especially for mass produce cards (well, how many times I ever made mass produce card?).

As there is room (budget) for one or two items, I have selected the Flying By stamp set and matching dies. I been wanting this set for a while but did not purchase it due to I give priority to the stamp sets I need to use first. I always says that this set can wait. Furthermore, the price of this set not so on sale previously.

I made my payment on 15 November 2013 and the items was delivered on 21 November 2013. It takes Custom Crops longer a bit this time to ship my items as I believe there are lots of orders which rush for the Christmas projects. The items was addressed to my new house. Speaking of new house, I was three (3) days away of moving in but I have yet to fully pack all the stuffs in the boxes! Instead, I am still shopping for my craft stuffs!

Anyhow, the items arrived today, two (2) weeks after moved into my new house. This time I got a portion of pattern paper themed Halloween as sample from Custom Crops. Hopefully one day I can make sure of these Halloween themed pattern paper.

Fiskars SureCut Card Making Paper Trimmer

I received Custom Crops newsletter on 17 October 2013 that they are having a Fiskars Sale! Well, I always wanted a new or proper craft paper trimmer to replace my current trimmer which I deem not so professional (in card making). My ideal wishlist is Fiskars! Thus, I quickly pop over to Custom Crops to check the trimmer that I want.

I am wishing for either Fiskars SureCut 12" Deluxe Paper Crafting Trimmer or the Fiskars SureCut 9" Card Making Paper Trimmer as recommended by Jennifer McGuire in her 'Favourite Trimmers' video. The prices that offered by Custom Crops indeed quite cheap. On a non sale period, most of the Custom Crops' prices are already below Manufacturer's Recommended Sale Price (MRSP). With this sale, the prices are below the regular price that Custom Crops usually offer!

After much consideration on item price, shipping cost and its usability, I finally settle for Fiskars SureCut 9" Card Making Paper Trimmer. I did not select Fiskars SureCut 12" Deluxe Paper Crafting Trimmer because both the item price and shipping cost are higher - almost 50% higher.

I made my payment on 20 October 2013 and the item was shipped 4 days afterward. A week later, my new trimmer has arrived! I always like Custom Crops shipping as it takes about a week plus to arrive to my doorstep.

I gotten the same sample as previous order - a bunch of different sizes and colors card stocks, a partial of Cosmo Cricket - Delovely: Delirious and a little brad! Now, I have three (3) sets of the same sample! Wonder how I can use them.....

Custom Crops is having the 'Back to School Sale' which initially will ends on 16 August 2013 but extended till 23 August 2013. It is having 20% discount off all items!

Although the discount is not that much compare to the last time I bought from them, I need some stamp sets for my next projects. Thus, I just selected two (2) Lawn Fawn stamp sets only. This time is my smallest purchase in Custom Crops first because the discount offered is not that much and secondly is due to my budget limitation. There are few Lawn Fawn stamp sets and dies that I wanted so badly but due to the next projects urgency, I have to trade them for these two (2) stamp sets.

I ordered and paid on 23 August 2013 and the shipping notification was sent to me on 29 August 2013. I thought Custom Crops shipping is the fastest but my PTI parcel beats it this time! Both of the orders was shipped on the same day but my PTI parcel arrived three (3) days earlier.

As always, Custom Crops have sample in customers' order. This time sample is the same as previous order - a bunch of different sizes and colors card stocks, a partial of Cosmo Cricket - Delovely: Delirious and a little brad! To be frank, I am yet to use any of these free samples! Hopefully I have a chance to use them soon!

Well, with these two (2) stamp sets arrival, my next projects are going to start off soon or else it will be a waste that I purposely purchased these stamps and dies! Hope to see my new projects in next two weeks!
