I'm so sorry it's taken so long to post this...or anything, but I wanted to share with everyone this beautiful treasure Anne of Arizona (a member here) made for me:) I am so proud to own such an incredible piece of artwork from her and have it proudly displayed in our home. Thank you so much Anne! I love it so much and it will always remind me of you and your beautiful, kind heart:)



Guys...I have been stitching daily! But I have European Bistro on my frame and can't bear to take it off til it's finished. So...Santa will have to wait a bit longer:) I haven't been able to blog for weeks because of company over the holidays. I will try to catch up soon, but also interviewing for jobs and volunteer work. P.S. I just had a look at everyone's work and WOW!!! You people are truly amazing stitchers! Beautiful work everyone!

For months now, Wendy and I have been holding on to this blog. We enjoy our members and truly love to see every one's progress...but....we no longer have the time or commitment we used to have. Wendy has a very busy life with family and businesses and I've got lots going on trying to find a job! We're sorry guys, not trying to bail on you! Our priorities have changed and we hope you'll understand.

We're asking if anyone would like to take over this board...run it the way you want to. It pretty much runs itself, but the main thing is to keep HAED stitchers motivated. Wendy and I would like to stay on as members too. Neither of us will stop stitching our HAED's.

If no one is interested in taking over, we will shut this blog down on 12/31/09. If you are interested, please email me @ cindy2k2tx@yahoo.com.

I'll be working on a Christmas ornie for our IH35 Austin stitching group's exchange. I have til the 1st Sat. in Dec. and as much as I hate finish, finishing small items, if I don't do it now whomever gets my gift will have a piece of stitched fabric only.

I really wish I'd thought of it earlier, because we could have done a "volunteer only" Christmas exchange. Drats!!

The 900+ stitches I've added since my last post are hard to tell what it really is, but I think next post we'll see the quill pen and book better.

Funny story, this week someone hacked into my husband's Facebook and Yahoo accounts, changed all his passwords and wrote several of our family and friends telling them we were in London, had been robbed at gunpoint and we were asking for 1000 pounds to be wired to a London address. Husband was in transit from work trip and I was getting lots of phone calls to see if we were ok!! So, I had to shut down my FB because mine is connected to husbands and we were afraid it could get worse! I miss my games...lol!! This had nothing to do with our own home computer protection, the hacker hacked into Facebook and from there accessed his email. We had 2 friends who were actually about to have money wired because they didn't know this was a scam....so be careful:) We were, didn't help...but, we're rethinking things.

I'm sorry I haven't been very active on this blog lately. Not going to whine...just believe me, I'm trying to get back to my happy place:) Everyone's beautiful work is what keeps me stitching!!
You guys are unbelievably talented!!

It's SAL day again and I'm getting ready to plant myself in my stitching chair.

I thought this day would never get here..lol!!! I FINISHED MY 2ND PAGE!!!! WOOHOO!!!
That bottom left corner was a doozy;)
I started on those last 1200 stitches last Thursday's SAL and hoped to post before now, but I really wanted to finish that page!! Boy! Does that feel good:)

I've added 12 new buddies to our right side bar showing who each is paired up with. WELCOME TO OUR NEW BUDDIES!!!! We're so excited to have you all!

I have linked the blogs of the buddies, if they have one. I wanted to link the members blogs too, but blogger doesn't let us double link...lol.... The ones without blogs, I had to link to something, so I linked to our blog:) Having a blog is not a requirement to be a member or buddy here.

Sabine worked really hard on this and we really appreciate it!! The more the merrier!!
Now the buddies are eligible for monthly drawings, but same rules apply for all....must post at least once during the month of drawing and must leave a comment on giveaway post. Sabine is waiting to hear from a few people, but if we don't hear within a week of her emailing them, we'll assume they're not interested.

This month, I'm giving away one of my very favorite tools!! The DMC Needlework Threads Color Card. If you don't have a color or want to change a color, this is a very good tool! It's also great for helping you decide if you want to go up or down a shade.


It does not come with floss samples, like the old cards did. It groups color lines together. All of the colors lines in DMC...satin, pearl, six strand, variegated. I use mine a lot!!
Last month one of our members suggested magazines...so I went to our local book store and got what they had! I wish they carried more;) The Christmas Ornament Preview Issue from Just Cross Stitch (July/August 2009), Stoney Creek Cross Stitch (June 2009) and Cross Stitch Gold (June 2009).

Rules for drawing...same as always 1) must be a member to enter 2) must enter comment on this post only 3) must have posted at least one progress (or finish) pic by 8/31/09. Drawing will be 9/1/09. Good luck and thank you all for being such wonderful members!! We look forward to your posts:)

Quit the job! I was #31 since January of THIS YEAR! You just wouldn't believe the stories I could tell...lol....
I'm really missing blogging, especially reading your blogs....but don't give up on me:)
My son is moving 1900+ miles, coming here first for jeep repairs and hugs.
Not going to think negative, but just got certified letter from hospital my mammogram came back with "area of concern"....so as soon as I know my son is safe and I get through more tests...I'll be back! (My grandmother had breast cancer but lived many years after having hers removed.) I'm very scared, but trying to stay focused on my son's happiness right now:)
Cross your fingers my 50th, which is on our Labor Day holiday (so Mr. Right will be home that day) will be a peaceful, stress-free day, happy day:)

JOB!!!! WOOHOO!!! After staying at home for 2 years...scrapbooking, stitching, eating more, I decided it was time to go back to work! Mr. Right is very good to me and I'm very appreciative...but it's time to give back! (besides, if I work, he'll help me clean the house...and I hate vacuuming!!)

That's why I've been so distracted lately....was looking for a job! and I've been staying behind on everything!

New job is with a CPA firm....means 7 days a week during tax season, but dh has been warned;)
(he'll probably enjoy the quietness!!)

So, if you don't hear from me every couple of days...just know, I'm looking at every one of your posts and will comment.....eventually.
