QS Daydreaming finished

I'm so behind- I realized I never posted my QS finish from October. QS Daydreaming, by Zindy Nielson. This is one of the charts from the HAED bulletin board year-long SAL.

And a set of framed Tiny Treasures I stitched for a friend's new baby (and my dad did the frames)- Bo Peep, Humpty Dumpty, PatACake, and Cow over the moon, all by Nancy Faulkner.

Daydreaming Fairy

After
I thought I would show Daydreaming Fairy QS this week. Nearly there with Page 2 - the eyes are slowing me down with lots of confetti stitches but she is looking so beautiful.
I have been doing some cooking so you are all invited over - we have Blueberry Scones and a Caramel Nut Tart. I think of all the time spent cooking and within 1/4 hr it is all gone. I would much rather be stitching......LOL.

Everyone is doing fantastic work and I love to see all the updates. I am a bit behind on reading Blogs at the moment - hope to catch up over the week-end.
I also kitted up Crabby Crush QS - Hannah Disney. The colours in this are so bright and I am looking forward to starting her.

QS Day Dreaming Fairy

I have finally had some time to stitch after planning, organizing and having our wedding. :) I finished a couple of smaller projects and then continued my HAEDs. I started to catch up with my SAL 2009 piece QS Day Dreaming Fairy. I put some stitches in on Thurday SAL too. :) I am planning on stitching the backround first before starting her hair and face. It is a bit boring but luckily it's quite quick to stitch. This picture is taken a few days ago and I've stitched more since. I had to frog on Wednesday so it took me back about 200 stitches. Luckily I noticed the error before stitching more than that. I will stitch some sparklies next and after those I'm ready to start her hair. Goodbye light shades! :)

And some non-stitching news: we booked flights to Paris and a hotel room at the Disneyland for our honeymoon trip on May! We are so excited about that and can hardly wait. :) We'll spend most of our holiday at the Disneyland but also plan on going to Paris for a day, have a nice dinner, walk along the Seine and maybe visit the Eiffel tower and the Louvre (if I can talk my husband in to it :D).

Daydreaming Fairy

Stitching has been rather slow in my house at the moment due to having DH home with torn tendons around his wrist and I am being the good little nurse.....LOL.

Thought I would do an update of Daydreaming Fairy. I love how she is looking but I still have a few big patches of Blending Filament to get through before finishing off Page 2. I hope to get this page finished before the end of the month all going well.

I love everyone's progress. I haven't had time to comment on them all but well done everyone.

Storykeeper update

Last Thursday I worked on Storykeeper again. I've now finished just over 15 pages, so less than 5 to go.

And this weekend, I worked on Daydreaming Fairy (Nielson) for the BB Freebie SAL. Here's my progress on her:

3 HAEDS

Firstly I finished up the 10hrs on Blue Pearls Mermaid QS. Love the pretty colours in this piece and they way the pearls are starting to twine around her arms. I can't wait to get this into a permanent slot in my rotation. The artwork is by Elaine Cox.

The second one is Day dreaming Fairy. I finished off page 1. Yippee and have finished the first 10 rows. I am dreading next week stitching on her as the next 10 rows are pretty solid blending filament...Yuck but I will bite the bullet and get it out of the road. I love seeing the movement in her hair. It is just so beautiful.

Lastly is Leaf and as I said I would do here is my backside of her.
Last week I stitched down from the eye and the nose is now coming into view. This is stitching up really fast as there are large blocks of colour and it shouldn't take long to finish Page 8. She is such a delight to look at and stitch. And watching her come to life is just magical.

Leaf - 20th March 2009 + 2 more

Well here is my picture of Leaf for this week. She has TWO eyes. Yaaaay. I just love stitching her and can't wait to get to the lips which will be some months away though.

I have also put in a picture of my Blue Pearls Mermaid QS which is my 10hr Focus. I just love the colours in this and have already done 5 hrs this week -mainly confetti stitching.

Last is Daydreaming Fairy SAL 2009. I love her hair and am really pleased with how she is looking

Daydreaming progress March

Been trying for days to find where to post, hope this is it!! Stitched all weekend on Daydreaming, got lots done on page 2. I was so bogged down on page 1, hated all that pale background, and the confetti in the hair was so tedious. But now I have an eye, and it's lovely. Now to try to put the pic in.

Hello from Lesley

Hi, I just want to say hi to everyone here. I love HAED charts and am busy working on a number of them. I have finished one -- the Letter L and have 6 more in the progress of being done. I have a companion to the L with the Letter G and it is over half finished now. I am hoping to get them made into pillows for Hubby and myself.

I am also working on Wizard's Emissary and have nearly completed the first row of pages. I have Daydreaming Fairy which is part of the year long SAL on the forum. One of my favourite artists on the site is Ciro Marchetti. I have a number of his charts and am working on two. Ancient Eygpt and Peacock's Lagoon. The final chart that I am working on at the moment is Pink Daydreams. I have the first page done and it is on the back burner right now waiting for me to finish a few others.

The rest of my work in progress.
