I have finally finished both of these - so here they are in their completed glory:
I also found it interesting that I had enough thread left over from the kit after stitching the design twice to probably stitch another two. Anchor are certainly generous in the amount of floss they put in their kits.

Brilliant
Here is Brilliant framed and hung on the wall with the degree and photo. There's also a bear on the shelf above, but you can't see that in the photo.

Brilliant
It's finished, unwashed and unpressed, but here is Brilliant (and about time too):
There was enough thread in the kit to be able to easily stitch it again, and even possibly a third time. Not that I want to, but I could.

Brilliant
I've finished all the cross stitching. Now there is just the backstitching and the french knots to go.

Brilliant
Finally here is a photo of my progress on this. I apologise for the shakiness of the photo - the combination of a new camera (I got sand in my old one and it jammed the lens) and a small 'helper' isn't the best for getting good photos. Not that I can claim mine are always that brilliant without those two factors.

Brilliant
I have also started my next piece - to celebrate my graduation. It is Brilliant from the Newton's Law range by Anchor. I haven't got a photo yet, but then I haven't got very far.

Shire Horses
Two updates in one day - that must be a record.
Today I went to the stitching afternoon at the LNS and did some stitching. Here are the results:
The background is slow going. I think I'm going to start up the other presents I need to do for the end of the year (instead of doing them one after the other like I was going to) so that when I get bored of this at least I'm working on another thing I need to do rather than something that's just for me and can wait.

Wordsworth Bookmark
Almost finished the first of these too. Still tempted to add on the end 'just around the bend' like the slightly bigger picture version has - 'around the bend' I think is sometimes quite appropriate for me. The full wording will read 'If ever you need a caring friend... ... I'm here'.
