Stitching Stuff

I finished my trial run. It's not brilliant - there are a few mistakes, er - areas for improvement, er - learning experiences in it. But it's finished and here it is:

Now I've just got to do the good copy - maybe not this week.

This is as far as I've got with my first bag. I had hoped to finish this a few weeks ago so that I would have a handbag to use but got sidetracked.

Here's how the front pieces will look when they are fitted together:

And here is a new project that I'm going to be working on. I want to make at least two of these bags. Shown are the fabric options I've got at the moment. I also want to make it slightly larger - maybe an inch extra around, as I want it to be able to hold A4 easily. And I want to put zippered pockets in it for various bits. Just got to work out where and how.
