Stitching Stuff

I have finished Peace Tree completely - although I am dithering over whether to maybe wrap another strand of wire around the hanger.

All the stitching is finished.

I was trying to see what beads and star to use for the tree so I took this photo:

I've decided on the biggest darkest beads, but I'm still dithering over the star. Oh well, perhaps I'll decide when I get there.

I finished the cross stitching today:



I just need to finalise my bead choice and put them on and choose which star to use for the top. I think I'm still leaning towards the Paua one.

I think it's obvious where the skein of thread changed - the new lot is brighter and doesn't have much colour variation at all. But I don't think the recipient is going to notice and I'm not restitching it so it's going to be fine.

The first project I'm working on is Peace Tree ornament by M Designs.

On the 19th of July I finished my first skein of Old Red Paint:

I haven't stitched anymore on it since then.
