Laaaaaaaazy!

Hello from Texas! I made it to town late yesterday evening after a very uneventful trip (that's a good thing!). I spent the evening with my family, first Dinner at Applebee's with Dad & the boys, then hanging out with Mom, Aunt Lily, and Jr. It was a very relaxing evening, but not boring in the least.

After we got home from Mom's, Jr. and I spent some time playing with his new dog - Rusty! He loves the toys I bought him almost as much as Jr. does. He also loves posing for the camera, as you might gather from those photos. He's the sweetest puppy, and Jr.'s training him very well. While I'm in town, I'm his "first official sitter," since Jr.'s visiting Abby for the weekend. Rusty's been inside the majority of the day, either sleeping or chewing on one of the squeaky toys I gave him. Unfortunately, he's a fan of SBDs. No, I won't enlighten those of you who don't know what those are.

My high school friend Danas birthday was yesterday. I was invited to meet up with her for birthday drinks and celebration, but after spending the evening with the family, I was too tired to even go out (Dana, if you read this, I'll call you in a bit to make plans to meet up). I'm really looking forward to seeing her, though, especially since I haven't seen her since shortly after we graduated ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO!!!

The weather has been beautiful here. Just like every Easter weekend in El Paso I can remember, the wind is blowing pretty strongly, making for a really cool, comfortable day. It got pretty cool last night, which was a welcome change from the Phoenix heat.

Tonight, the Stars play round one, game two of the playoffs. After Wednesday's lube-free assraping, I hope they get it together and pull off a win. Going back to Dallas down 2-0 wouldn't be good. I will not be a happy camper if they lose again tonight.

Happy Friday, everyone! More pictures are sure to follow soon. I'm so in love with my new lens!
