Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

Hi there blog friends! Several weeks ago, Kylie (Owner/Manager of Addicted to CAS) asked me to represent our team for the Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop! Altenew sent each rep 2 stamp sets of our choice, so I have created 2 cards for the hop :)

My first card is ultra-modern and features the Amazing You stamp set, Versatile Vases dies, and Deco Lines Washi Tape. I used linen cardstock for texture and gold foil cardstock for the border.

Give me a nautical theme anytime, so I grabbed this new set called Seas the Day and got going...I used Versamark and clear embossing powder for the water and blended distress inks to add color. I stenciled the clouds and used a Copic Multiliner to draw the seagull. The ship and little girl were colored with Copic markers and once I added the sentiment, this card was complete!

There are several challenge blogs on the hop and a generous prize being offered at each one :) There are $250. in prizes and winners will be announced on the Altenew blog on September 5th, 2021.

So...hop on over to the Addicted to CAS challenge blog...Kylie will give you the details and links to the participating challenges ~ Good luck, everyone!

Fusion Challenge - Coral Flowers

Hi blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our theme is 'Coral Flowers'. For this challenge, I decided to go with the Fusion by combining the sketch with a few elements from the inspiration photo:

These beautiful flowers and leaves are from Altenew and the stripes are from an old SSS background stamp. I used emboss resist for the blooms with white EP and MFT 's Peach Bellini ink. For the stripes, I used Coral Crush to add contrast to the design.

I hope you'll stop by the Fusion Challenge Blog to see the lovely cards my teamies created for your inspiration, and that you'll play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge #296 - Parent

Hi there blog friends ~
I've been working on my DT projects for the past several days, but the doors are about to close on one of my favorite challenges, and I wanted to play along. This week's cue card at CASology is 'Parent', so I thought it was a great opportunity to create a Mother's Day card for my mom ~

I've been on the hunt for this retired PTI stamp set for ages and finally found someone who was selling some of her gently used stamp sets...I used a few Altenew inks gifted to me by a sweet friend for the vases and added some teeny-tiny enamel dots with Nuvo drops for the Orchid.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies
Stamps: PTI - Gracious Vases; Clearly Besotted Stamps - Fresh Flowers (sentiment)
Inks: Memento - London Fog; Altenew - Sweet Leaf,  Coral Berry, Aqualicious
Misc: Nuvo Crystal Drops - Caribbean Ocean; Spectrum Noir - Clear Sparkle Pen; Lucy's Gems - Ice Cube Mix

Addicted to CAS Challenge #125 - Sweets!

Hi there, blog friends! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and our Hostess, Ceal has chosen the new code word:

Here is my take on this code word:

For my 'sweets', I used Altenew Way Too Sweet images and partial sentiment and colored everything with Copic markers. I added Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the center ice cream pop and glossy accents on the cone. I also used a silver glitter pen on the sprinkles, and glitter cardstock for the die cut sentiment.

FYI: This challenge marks our 5th anniversary as a challenge blog, and I couldn't be more proud of Kylie and my amazingly talented teammates for making ATCAS a success! To celebrate the occasion, we have 2 Sponsors who are offering prizes to the winners ~ Happy Little Stampers and Create a Smile Stamps
We hope you'll stop by the ATCAS Blog for some inspiration and that you'll join us for our celebration!

Have a great weekend ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #302; SSS Flickr Challenge #78 - Dots and/or Stripes

Hi there,
I've been busy in my craft room for the past few days and of course, enjoying PTI's Stamp-A-Faire videos :) So, today I'm sharing 2 cards that I created for a few challenges ~

First up is Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #302 with a sketch by Cecile:

Such a great sketch and I love the color combo she chose for it, too :) Here is my take:

A few weeks ago, CASology used the cue card 'Safari' and Hannelie's card is what inspired me to check out the Silhouette store for some images. I stamped the sun using the Altenew Half-tone circles and the sentiment is from SSS...and that was it!

*******************************

Next up is the card I created for the current SSS Flickr Challenge, and the theme is 'Dots and/or Stripes':

I think dots are a lot of fun on a card, so I took out my old circle punches and a few dies to create stencils with Post It Notes. The sentiment is from SSS, which I stacked five high for dimension...Done and dusted :)

Wishing you all a great week ahead ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Hello, Beautiful!

Hi there,
Just a quick post from me today to share 2 cards I created for a few challenges ~
The first card is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge and the theme is 'Sparkle & Shine'.

I recently bought this Artsy Flower Parts stamp set, and I love the cute flowers and leaves. I colored them with Copics and added sparkle with a little bit of clear WOS and a few sparkly sequins from an old SSS card kit. The sentiment is from their Summer Garden stamp set.

**************************

My next card is for 2 challenges, both for the theme 'Stencil': CAS on Sunday Challenge and for the
AAA Cards Challenge - CAS Game

This Altenew Halftone Stencil is my new favorite...I placed it on an angle and inked it with Grout Gray, then stamped and die cut the branch, bird, and butterfly. I colored everything with Copic markers and used vellum for the sentiment. I also added a few sparkly sequins and the orange enamel dot, which is one of my DIY projects with Perler Beads...and that was it!

CASology Challenge #240; MFT Sketch Challenge #324

Hi there blog friends! I'm back to share a few cards I created for 2 challenges:

My first card is for CASology week #240 for the Cue Card 'Foliage'

This is my favorite color combo...I used the lightest shade from the Altenew Warm Gray inks for the stenciled foliage, a medium gray for the stamped sentiment, and Hero Arts Bubblegum to create the ombre effect on the die cut sentiment. Did you know that Laura Bassen created this stamp and die set? I love the font on this die and when I learned that it's Laura's handwriting, I couldn't wait to get my crafty little paws on it and have a play...after all, she is my Idol :)

*****************************

My next card is for this weeks' MFT Sketch Challenge #324

I love this sketch, so I followed it to a 'T' ~ I created clouds for the background with Audrey Blue ink and colored these cute little tigers with Copic Markers. The bottom panel was created with the Wavy Coloring Book stamp by just stamping it with Versamark...no EP at all. I love how it creates a tone-on-tone effect. Sorry for the glare on the stars, but my camera is never happy with shiny objects!

So, that's it for me...I hope everyone had a fun weekend and that your week ahead is filled with lots of crafty time ~
