Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps with Rinea Foil Papers

Hi Everybody, Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps is collaborating with Rinea Foiled papers this month. The papers are great quality and not at all flimsy. I was pleasantly surprised. They are quite fun to create with! And that is coming from somebody who hardly ever touches her paper stack (except for white card stock, LOL!) As Valentine's Day is coming up I figured I go with that theme. I took a cover plate and one of those lovely papers and die cut the hearts. Since the paper is double sided  - gold on the other side, i just took some of those little hearts, turned them around and glued them into the openings. I also glued some onto the sentiment strip. The sentiment is quite versatile and I really love the font - here you can see it a bit better: You can use that for a birthday, Valentine's Day of course or just to send a lovely note and make somebody happy. As you can see, I heat embossed it on black. I hope your day will be a happy one! ...

Guest Designing for CAS Mix Up

Hi Everyone, I am totally delighted to have been asked to be guest designer at the CAS Mix-Up challenge !  Of course I said YES! It is such a cool challenge. The DT supplies ample information about the topic and ones can learn so much! This month topic is quite enticing - it is all about embossing folders. If you are like me, you have a huge supply of them - but rarely used.... I am so glad I had an excuse to put at least one of them in action! The folder I used here is a  Cuttlebug embossing folder. I sprinkled Bushos on it and spritzed with water. I then did some embossing folder stamping. I dicut a square window into my card base using a QuicKutz square die. Added the pig (unknown company). The wonky birthday stamp is by So Suzy Stamps. I also added googly eyes to the pig, some white gel pen accents and a little dab of Stickles to the center of the flower. I  just love how this embossing folder background turned out! Go and pull out your emb...

Stamp Connection #34

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: Inspired by Nature I have this die now for a while (it was a present). I actually don't know the company - let me know, if you do. I used water color paper and colored it with water colors. Added the sentiment (Kaisercraft). So it was pretty easy to do. I needed a card for my neighbor, who just delivered a baby boy. Besides that she is one of my fans and customers, so I wanted to make a special card for her.  But I also had a gift, so I needed a box. YouTube came to the rescue. After I watched several videos, I settled on THIS one. Used some of that DP, that has been piling up i...

Hearts Window Card

I made this card for a Valentine's Day card exchange at the flickr LOVE card group . I wanted to make something special and different and that is what I came up with: The sentiment is Hero Arts Hugs N Hearts. I cut the window with a Lifestyle crafts die and used various punches for the hearts. Each heart is doubles up with the string in between. It was a little tedious to make - next time it would go faster, that is always the case for the second attempt. But I was really happy with the result - it actually looks like I envisioned it (that is not always the case with my ideas...) I hope the recipient of this card does not mind me submitting it for the Moxie Fab window card challenge I just saw over at Simon Says is "Anything goes"   - that is my kind of a challenge - into this challenge this card will go....

Glittery Heart Card

I had a delightful weekend. A long time friend came to visit and we did all sorts of fun together. There was no time for card making, but here is one I mad a little while ago. using some glitter paper that I recently picked up at Michaels. I used an old cuttlebug die for the hearts, the sentiment is Papertrey. The solid heart is on pop dots to add some dimension.  I am entering this card at the Drunken Stampers challenge  - All that glitters. You gotta love the name of that blog! I'll post some pictures from my weekend in one of my upcoming posts - I ran out of battery with my camera - stupid, not to recharge  - oh well... Thanks for all your kind comments - so fun to read them!

Cards and Bread

At the last stamp convention I attended I bought a lot of Washi tape and ever since it has been sitting around in one of my drawers. I never really know what to do with it. So I finally pulled them out and used some, although I am not really happy with the result. I guess I need to play around some more. I put Stickles on to hide the seams. The sentiment is Hero arts (Joy Borders). The die is from Prickley Pear. This great card below is from my son. His best friend is turning 12 and he is invited to his party today. So we made a quick card this morning. He selected the colors and layout and I helped him putting it together. Generally he loves my Big Shot, so he usually chooses an embossing folder. This one is from Cuttlebug. We smeared it with white ink. The numbers and letters are from Papertrey (Block alphabet dies and By the Numbers dies) And lastly here is a picture from the bread I backed.  I just took it out of the oven and t...

Neon Holiday

Ahh, finally time again, to create a new card. I felt inspired by the new  Moxie Fab challenge  Keen on Neon, Here is my take on it: The sentiment is from Hero Arts Merriest Wishes and the Die cut is Sizzix Holly with Berries#5

kis! # 1: Türkis und Gelb - A Passion for Papertrey (2)

How fun! Found the first German CAS challenge   KEEP IT SIMPLE  and   A Passion for Papertrey   and could not resist to make a card for both of them! After all CAS is my favorite style, although I still struggle at times with it. And Papertrey is one of my favorite stamping companies! Here is my second card: Sorry for the two blog posts, but that is the only way I can upload both cards into the challenge as far as I know. Still so much to learn in blogland.... The numbers and sentiment are from Papertrey By the Numbers Die Collection Modern Basics Stamp Set the stamp is Papersource embellished with Stickles and perfect pearls butterfly punch : Martha Stewart

CHALLENGE #15 THE OL' 1 - 2 PUNCH

I recently got this cute snowman die cut set from Papertrey. This makes for quick cards, both with the positive and negative die cut. Here is an example with the negative die. I love how this pairs up with this beautiful Hero Arts sentiment from the large clear set - Holiday wishes I submitted this to the A Blog named Hero challenge #15 http://ablognamedhero.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-15-ol-1-2-punch.htm
