Thankful for Roses

Even though it's been hot and dry, our 'knock out' roses are blooming like crazy.

And now I have more! Hubby invented this handy dandy cart to carry plants, tools and mulch from the front of the house to wherever he is working. Isn't it great? We have thick grass and it is easy for him to pull.

And he is feeling really good now. Thanks again for all of the prayers. He has decreased his medication and 'so far so good'!

He planted more roses in the back along the wall that is our lanai.

We have roses on the side of the lanai and the courtyard is on the other side.

So I'm thankful for roses and my sweet hubby this week.

All play and no work?

I have seen a pattern in my posts lately. It looks like all I do is color in coloring books, decorate with dollies and watch my scarecrows dance!

WELL…my Hubby WORKS!!!

Let’s walk around back….

One of the jobs waiting for the house to be painted….oh and the gutters to be installed…

was new mulch in the flower beds.

And later we can plant some more azaleas and maybe some more roses.

60 BIG bags of mulch and a lot of man power and it’s starting to come together!

Thanks hubby! I think I’ll sew now. I’m in the middle of making a mouse and I have a bat that needs eyes.

I know it’s a lot of ~~play~~ work…

but someone has to do it!

You deserve some cake today!

That's what I told my hubby. He's been working outside mulching our flower beds.

We have plans for our courtyard....it's on our list!

We have some areas that need replanted but we're not quite ready to do that so he is spreading mulch to keep the weeds away and make the empty areas look better. Eventually we want to get rid of a lot of the shrubbery that we have and have a landscaper change things.

You can see that the shrubs have gotten too big in the front!
