DT Charisma - Buttons and Bows

I've been on holiday and completely mixed up the dates for the new challenge at Charisma. And when I realized it the Turkish Internet wouldn't let me access Blogger. But better late than never, right? So here it goes, my inspiration for the buttons and bows challenge.

My sweet friend, Elin, came up with the idea for a tag pocket easel dresser card and I've been thinking about trying it since the first time I saw it, but I haven't had the opportunity to do it until now when I needed a card/present for a christening.

The cute little box has an easel on top, made with GoKreate die and gorgeous Inkido papers. When I took a closer look at the papers I realized that they were propably ment for weddings, but it wasn't all that obvious, so I guess it will be ok.

The top card is sewn with machine around three edges to make a pocket for the tag. I've die cut a Spellbinders Stately Circle and stamped a text with a stamp from Papirdesign. A few flowers from WOC and some pearls are the only decor apart from the seambinding and Divine Twine bow and button from my stash on the tag.

To make the easel stand I die cut an oval with Spellbinders Floral Ovals where I put the name of the baby and the date of the christening and adhered it with foam pads.

I had planned to use a TH knob on the drawer, but since this was finished on holiday and the handles was at home, I had to improvise and ended up with just a piece of seambinding to open the drawer.

Here I've taken the tag out of the pocket and stamped it with another sentiment from Papirdesign. I've also left room for a personal greeting.

Inside the drawer is the room for the gift.

I made a card slightly wider than the drawer to  make the card bend up and partially cover the knot for the handle.

It also makes a nice display for the little bracelet we gave her. And I stamped a sentiment from Papirdesign on the background.

When the gift card is removed it shows the bottom of the drawer with another piece of the same paper from Inkido.

And that's it. Super cute if I may say so myself.

Now I hope you'll join in the challenge at Charisma, even though it's just a few days left of the challenge.

Team Scrapping - konfirmasjonskort

*Once again I've enjoyed myself with wonderful products from Papirdesign and Kort og Godt, that I've written an article about for scrapping.no. The entire article can be read here.*

*I've made several cards with this kind of motif where I've combined a silhouette stamp, crackle stamp and sentiment stamp from Kort og Godt. The other embellishments are simply chipboard stars from Papirdesign and a little twine and staples.*

DT Charisma - May flowers

Another Thursday, another Charisma challenge. And this fourtnight we want to see flowers.

I made this card earlier and it was apparently a big success among my customers, because this sold really fast followed by TWO commisions for similar cards. So I just had to go out hunting for the same papers to make it happen. Now I don't normally lift myself, at least not to this degree, but how can you say no to pleading customers? *lol*
Like I said, I had to hunt for the papers I used on the previous card. It's from Linda Design, previously known as Ladybug and Friends, but it's really hard to get. Finally I found it in the store where I bought the first ones, after rummaging through all the paper shelves three times, and I snagged the last six papers that were left.

I couldn't and wouldn't do the embellishments the same way as on the other card, but it's not far from it. A seambinding bow, blue and purple flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a few pearls. The sentiment is the quote from J. W. Goethe about magic, and it's a stamp from Stempelglede.

The biggest difference from the last card are the insides. On the top page I've used the same paper as on the other one, but at the bottom I used another paper from the same collection in 12x12, instead of the 6x6 papers.

I die cut a circle from Spellbinders Stately Circles set and stamped a sentiment from Kort og Godt.

The backside is the same paper as the inside and the same die cut, stamped with my personal Rox Stamp and a little sentiment from Kort og Godt.

Now, go find your May flowers and join the challenge over at the challenge blog. I'd love to see your creations! Meanwhile I'll be joining a few challenges myself:

*Junior is invited to another birthday party. This time I had a little bit more time than the last time so I could play around a little more.*

The balloons are stamps from the Papertrey Ink stamp set Balloon Bash, stamped in Hero Arts Shadow Inks Soft Stone, hand cut and attatched a string of Bakers Divine Twine. Kjappiskort

*I'm still busy with things I can't publish yet, but yesterday junior was going to his very first birthday party and I didn't have anything in my stash suitable for a four year old boy, so I had to do a super quickie with scraps I had on my desk.*

*The scraps are from Bazzill cardstock, paper and dots from Papirdesign and a little Divine Twine Blueberry. Doesn't get much easier than that. The cardstock is actually dark blue, but without proper lighting and with my cell camera it doesn't exactely look like it.*

Sjokoladekort - Magic Christmas

*It's been a few chocolate cards lately and still there are heaps left for publishing, so you'll just have to bear with me.*

*On this card I simply used a patterned paper from a Vibeke Spigseth Poppydesign pad with the text and the reindeer on. But I thought it was a bit empty on the left side, so I added a few banners from the back of the paper.*

*As all the other cards the inside is simple with just a punched edge with the MS Cherish punch.*

Sjokoladekort

*It's incredibly fast to make these chocolate cards and as I'm impatient it suits me perfectly. I have a bunch of them ready but still a bunch to go to reach my new goal of 20 cards by Tuesday. Here's another one: *

*All these cards are decorated simply since I'm mass producing. The paper I've used here is Vibeke Spigseth Poppydesign for Panduro. The stamp is from Norsk Stempelblad and the decor is punches and dies from Martha Stewart, Marianne Design and Magnolia.*

*The inside is simple too. Just the edge on the pocket which is punched with Martha Stewart Cherish Edge Punch.*

*My break is almost over now, gotta press on if it's gonna be more chocolate cards! Have a great creative Sunday!*

It's Thursday again and we're ready for a new challenge over at Charisma and it's a fun one too, and as always we have some great sponsors.

PRIZE ONE -

Prize TWO
Buy our digi stamps here...

Prize Three

So here's what I did for today:

I made this box from Bazzill cardstock and decorated it with papers from FabScraps. I've used MS Doily Lace edge punch for the border and EK Rock Fern punch for the leaves under the flowers. The flowers and the seambinding bow are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I also stamped a subtle sentiment on the right side from Storyteller that reads "Enjoy life, eat chocolate".

Unfortunately I was in a bit of a hurry to upload, so I didn't have time to get pictures of the inside, but I'll add them here later today.

DT Charisma - No digis

Another Thursday, another Charisma challenge. Check out the prizes from our sponsors:

PRIZE ONE

Pink Cat Studio are offering one lucky winner 5 digis from their online shop! wow!
PRIZE TWO -
And a second winner this week will receive a £10 voucher for My Mums Craft Shop

This weeks challenge is absolutely no digi stamps.

I haven't used many stamps at all, digis or other. Just the pennant stamp from Panduro. I filled it in with my son's name. My little man turned four a couple of days ago and this was the card he got.

The papers are really old ones from Melissa Frances that I've teamed up with white and kraft Bazzill cardstock. The edges are slightly inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and I added some faux stitching with a Zig marker. I painted the chipboard number with gesso and acrylic paint and overheated it on pupose, to get a little more texture to it. I also inked it a little bit with Walnut Stain.

And that's just about it for today. Hop on over to the challenge blog to get more inspiration from the other gals and join in on the challenge too. Be sure to check out the prizes from our lovely sponsors too.

I'll enter this card for the following challenges:
TPE #199 - Masculine birthday theme
Crafty Catz #182 - Anything goes
Simply Create Too #37 - Anything goes
Totally Papercrafts #166 - CAS
Crafty Creations #222 - KISS (Keep it simple)

DT ProMarker Norge

*It's the first of April and the spring feeling just sneaked in with me when I made this card for the April challenge at ProMarker Norge. But now it's a real blizzard outside my window so my plans of spending the last easter day outside was quickly switched to a plan to sit in my playroom dreaming of spring! :-) *

*The papers I used for this card are from a free pack that came with a magazine I bought. "Sweet Memories" I think they're called. I've decorated with ribbons from American Crafts and The Ribbon Retreat and flowers from Papirloftet and Wild Orchid Crafts.*

Se liste over farger brukt under.
*The image is Easter Carly from Mo Manning. And I have to admit that the challenge was more than I expected when I started. I'm not very good with folds, but after a crash course last year with Yasmine, the Copics champ, I thought I could do it. It took a few trials but I eventually landed on a mix of Copics and ProMarker techniques to get the folds the way I wanted them.
A bit of stamping on the edges with a stamp from Kort og Godt and a little easter stamp from Papirloftet and my easter card is done. See the list of used colours below.*

Spring cleaning

*It's amazing how much a little organizing and a few new buys will do for your inspiration sometimes! Cardmaking has been a bit slow lately. As I am a major procrastinator I rather did some online shopping and organizes paperscraps, stamps and flowers instead of making cards. I found papers I forgot I had that I could combine with some new gorgeous flowers that came in the mail. And before I knew it I had more ideas than I could make and THREE half ready projects on my table at once!*

Deilig å endelig føle at inspirasjonen kommer litt tilbake! Håper bare det varer denne gangen. :)

*This was supposed to be a commision card, made after a sketch from Mojo Monday. The background paper is actually a christmas paper from The Paper Loft. I hope no one thinks it looks very christmasy? Either way it's combined with a sheet music paper from Inkido and cardstock from Bazzill, of course.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I'm SO proud of myself for finally being able to combine something other than just roses! These lillies from WOC are just gorgeous and the large two-coloured Trellis Rose is just eadible! The numbers are die cut with Quickutz Winter Wishes. Both the lace and ribbon have been in my stash for ages and I have no idea where they're from. The sentiment is from Staz and has never been used before.

It's so great to finally feel that the inspiration is returning! Just hope it'll last this time. :) *

*My daughter was going to her best friend's 10th birthday party today so we had to make her a special card. She was supposed to do it all by herself , but something always comes up, so there wasn't enough time. So mom had to step up. It was still a bit of cooperation, she got to glue some of the panels and embellishments. And she decided which papers and colours to use. And the idea was of course approved even though mom had some suggestions. The result was this:*
*We used the sketch from Sketchy Colors. The papers are all Magnolia. The sentiment from Papirloftet. Around the image I've stamped with a stamp from Kort og Godt in Memento London Fog. The snowflakes are Sizzix die and MS punch. They've got a layer of Stickles Icicle. The edge below the image is punched with an MS edge punch and the ribbon and bling are from my stash.

Her er fargene jeg har brukt: *The image is Maddie from Saturated Canary. A little cutie, but a nightmare to colour! But I've done the best I could in the short amount of time I had with my ProMarkers. These are the colours I've used:*
Hud/Skin: Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Ivory
Hår/Hair: Sandstone, Mustard, Pastel Yellow, Buttercup (Dusky Pink i kinn)
Øyne/Eyes: Duck Egg, Cool Aqua
Lepper/Lips: Rose Pink, Blossom
Rosa/Pink: Rose Pink, Pink Carnation, Blossom
Turkis/Turquoise: Turquoise, Duck Egg, Cool Aqua, Soft Aqua (FlexMarker)
Grått/Grey: Ice Gray 1, 3 og 4

The one that almost got away

Every now and then there's a few cards that slip out of the house without me remembering to snap photos of them. This one I didn't forget, but my camera broke down right before christmas and had to be turned in for repairs, so I fiddled around with two different compact cameras and a cell camera to get pics of the last few creations in 2012. I know for sure that I took pictures of this, but I can't for the life of me figure out where those pics are! So I had to resort to the recipient snapping some photos. Which means I can't really complain about the quality. Anyways, this is the very last of my chocolate cards and the last thing I made in 2012.
It's fairly simple with a sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad, die cut from Sizzix, swirls and poinsettia from Magnolia dies and snowflakes and branches from MS punches.

The papers are from Maja Design. And on the inside I've used the MS Cherish edge punch. I didn't want to stash it up too much, as the recipient was my brother. Guys like it simple, right? *S*

And I believe the contence (a large chocolate bar) was already dug into when this picture was taken. I'll take that as a sign that the gift was acceptable. *lol*

DT Charisma - Monochrome

A very happy and creative new year to all of my fellow bloggers!
We're back with the first challenge of 2013 on the Charisma Cardz challenge blog! I have a good feeling about this year and I'm hoping to see lots of new inspiration throughout the year. And I'm thinking a couple of decent prizes will spark some inspiration with some of you. Just take a look at what you might win this week:

PRIZE ONE

Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp are generously offering a $20 voucher to their online store!!!

PRIZE TWO

And our 2nd sponsor this week is the lovely Pink Cat Studio who are offering 5 digis of the winners choice!!

PRIZE THREE
J&C Creations

last but certainly not least, J and C creations are offering a £10 Voucher to their online shop!!

Awesome, right? Well then let's get on with it!
This weeks challenge is Monochrome. Shouldn't be too hard to start off the new year with.

I have to admit that my perfectionist inside would have wanted the first post of the new year to actually be the first card I made this year, but realities are a bit different. I'm still not all well after more than a month of back problems and all kinds of germs attacking, so this is a card I did right before christmas.
It's another chocolate card, only this time in a larger version made for a 200 gram chocolate bar. The tutorial is based on Marianne's, but Wenche has adapted the measurements for the bigger bar. I have to say that I found the measurements a little tight, so when I make my next one I'll try to adapt them even better.

I've used the gorgeous papers from Pion Design along with a large Sizzix die, Magnolia dies for the poinsettia and the swirl, and MS punches for the pine branches and snowflake.

A little closer you can see I've added a tiny touch of bling. The sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad. (Warm christmas hug and many good thoughts.)

Inside I've used an MS edge punch for the pocket in which the chocolate bar fits. I must have forgotten to snap a photo of the chocolate in place. A bit of stress before I had to send it off I guess.

So that's what I had for you today, now it's your turn. Hop on over to the challenge blog to see what the other girls have been up to.

CAS Christmas

I had a little long weekend last weekend and spent the greater part of it shopping, coloring and cardmaking with lovely Yasmine. She who is usually the queen of pink with Copic-creations out of this world, got all carried away with stunning CAS-creations while I was struggling with inspiration and ended up with this on my first go:*

*I'm a sucker for blue christmas cards and with snowflake, stars and bling it's beginning to look like something I could like. *S* I didn't bring any of my stash to Yasmine, but I still found something familiar and dear in her stash. The MS Cherish punch and the Inkido Stars stamp. The snowflake is a Marianne Design die that I bought on our shopping trip. I'm sure Yasmine told me where the sentiment is from, but I honestly forgot.*

Takk for noen herlige dager, Yasmine! I'll be back! ;-)
