It's an animal thing.....

Our third Facebook challenge of the year is here. This month we'd like to see your creations with aninmals the theme, "IT's AN ANIMAL THING".

For my inspiration today I'm using Star Pup, it's not in Wendy's shop at the moment, but if you like him send Wendy a message and she'll be able to help you out ;)

The image has been coloured with Copics. I wanted to keep a simple colour pallet so have used blues with a pop of brown. The edges of the image have been distressed with a tool.

My design paper are from Maja Design and Hobby Craft. I've used some Spellbinders letter for the sentiment.

Christmas Puppy

Today I have the honour of being a guest designer with Through the Purple Haze :)

I'm using this little cutie Lucky Present Christmas Puppy Dog for my inspiration. He's been coloured with my Copics.

I've layered the card with desgin papers from Maja Design and First Edition.

I had a few left over scraps and a giant snowflake sticker which I cut in half. No other embellies on this one :)

Autumn Bike Ride

Today is our second lot of inspiration at Outlawz Sketch using All Dressed Up images.

I'm using Country Bike Ride for my inspiration, you can find her here in the shop. She's been coloured with Copics and then cut out with a die.

Here's our sketch or the next two weeks.

I've used black card, design papers from Lemoncraft and First Edition.

The Birthday Girl was printed onto design paper and then cut out using a die. I've added a couple of pearls and a few paper leaves to finish.

New me.........

I know the idea is good but I'm sure I'm not going to be lifting weights like this, unless they're feathers haha!

This is one of Wendy's newly released images for January. You can find New Me in her Etsy shop here.

The images has been coloured with Copics in one of my favourite colour combinations, pink and teal.

I've used a mix of design papers from First Edition, Santoro and Maja Design. One section was cut with a die from Dies to Die for.

The banner section at the bottom was hand cut and I've added a few pink pearls to finish.

Sledging Puppy

Today is out new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up. I'm using Sledging Pup you can find it here in Wendy's Shop. Have you ever seen anything so adorable!

I've coloured the image with Copics, the background has some embossing enamel scattered for snow and added a few snowflake stickers I had in my stash.

I've used a shaped card so had to hand cut the design paper from Lili of the Valley and the white card to frame the image by hand.

I've finished it off with a sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured with Copics.

My Spy ;)

It's out turn at SheepSki Designs for the Kit & Clowder Advent Calendar Event. We have a freebie, discount code and game going on so make sure you check it out so you don't miss out!

I decided to create a simple silly image, the pooch in the middle having false antlers trying to spy on those reindeers :)

The image has been coloured with Copics, then added to some design paper from First Edition. I've also used some Kraft.

Lil Christmas Pup

I'm honoured to be joining CRAFT Challenge as a GDT this week. Their theme is Animals this time. I'm using an image from Sweet n Sassy called Christmas Puppy.

The image has been coloured with Copics and then fussy cut.

My design papers are from First Edition and I've also used some black card.

I've tied some twine in matching colours, added . few golden snowflake charms and a large wooden glittery snow flake to finish :)

Did you know Passionate Paper Creations & Friends are having a challenge. It's to make get well cards using images by the groups sponsors. This one happens to be one from Di's Digi Stamps. She's created this freebie especially for the challenge.

I've coloured the image with Copics and kept the design very simple. We thought we might have to give the card while the person was in hospital so I didn't want any extra bits like glitter etc. It turned out to be a single layer card in the end.

The sentiment was created at the time I printed the image.

I see spots

This is the last week at Outlawz Sketch where we have Wink Wink Ink for our sponsor.

This time I've used Pup in Boots for my inspiration. He's been coloured with Copics then cut out with a Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for this week.

My design papers are from Lemoncraft. Including the two tiny banners.

The banners with cut with a Fantasy die.

I've added two lots of ribbon that I've had in my stash for ages in teal and yellow. A sentiment from Lili of the Valley coloured with Copic. Finally two butterfly buttons I've had in my stash for ages (from Hobby Craft)

SMILE

I created this little guy for The Ribbon Girls Mary wanted to make a sneaky card for Andrea, they got a new puppy and Mary asked me to draw a Westie puppy so she could surprise her :)

You can find Smile in my Etsy shop and get 10% off this and any of my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I've coloured him with Copics in pastel shades, it's a white dog so I needed some subtle off whites for shading.

I've used a simple layout with pastel papers to showcase the image. To take off some of the white of the image I've distressed the edge with Spun sugar ink from Tim Holtz.

The pink ribbon you can find at The Ribbon Girls shop, I hand tied the bow and then tied it to a strip of ribbon to go across the card.

Winter Warmer

When I was young a friend of the family had a Jack Russell, he was so cute, he was called Jack. We were also watching The Mask the other week which made me thing of drawing a Jack Russell :)

I was looking for something slightly different to draw for a Christmas image. He kinda looks cold but also warm in his scarf.

I've got a whole host of pics of this one as I've been colouring it, I might share if enough people are interested. I was doing my OLD USUAL colouring with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils. I'm trying to stop doing this and trying to use one brand at the moment.

Added to the background of Jack I've scattered some embossing enamel and glitter. He's framed with black card and design papers from Craftwork Cards. I've also used a scrap left from creating another card. This and some black card were cut with a Spellbinder die.

I've cut some trees in white card and design paper, using a Marianne Design die. Added to this is some Snowtex.

I've finished off with a Christmas sentiment coloured in burgundy and some red gems to pick out the red in the scarf.

Mind of his own

My first creation with Posh Puppy. I had a game in my SheepSki Designs Facebook group for a chance to win him which finished yesterday - there were 7 lucky winners :)

I've coloured the image with Copics and polychromos pencils. I then fussy cut the image out ready to go on the card.

I found a layout I liked and then spent ages looking for some papers. Eventually I decided on some papers from Joy Crafts and First Edition. I've also used some black card stock for the border between the two papers. I layered it all up and then added the image and final embellishments.

Someone said to me the other day the dog looked like he was looking like he was posing for a camera shot. I just think he has a mind of his own and decided to stop and sit and refuse to move LOL! Hence my lovely lady looking over her shoulder trying to encourage him to move.

Anyway the camera bit made me think of this sentiment from Scrapiniec. I coloured it with black Copic.

The foliage to the right of the card is some Dusty Attic chip board.

Meet Max

Just popping by to say Hi!

Maz has been coloured with Copics and polychromos pencils. When I printed him I left plenty of room so I could add a sentiment next to him.

I decided to do this with some Sizzix thinlet letters.

Just making a CAS card to show him off to you, I've used some black card and one sheet of design paper from First Edition.

This Way ----->

I chose Puppy Girlz as my inspiration for Outlawz Sketch challenge this week. This image is from Bugaboo our sponsor for March.

The image was coloured with Copics and polychromos pencils. After cutting it and mounting it onto some black card I doodled a stitched border.

This is our sketch for this week

I've flipped it on its side. Apart from some more black card I've used papers from Santoro and a scrap of red flowered paper that was left lying around (can't remember who it is though - sorry!)

The sentiment is wood chip from Scrapiniec and coloured with Copic.

The ric rac ribbon was from Crafty Ribbons, I've used some black gems and two large chrysanthemums from Wild Orchid Crafts

Heart Dogs

We've Bugaboo sponsoring us at Outlawz Sketch this month they've lots of fabby images you can check them out here

This one is called Birthday Pups. I've coloured it with Copics and polychromos pencils. Around the image you can see I've doodles some stitching with a pen. I also done this round the tag and design paper.

The image have been cut with a Spellbinders die and edged with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

This is our sketch for this week

My design papers are from Maja Design and Joy Craft. I've used a Marianne Design tag die and also distressed this with Vintage Photo ink. The tag is attached by some natural string through a heart letter bead. The Love sentiment is a Scrapiniec wood chip element coloured wit block Copic.

The tiny wooden hearts were bought from eBay and the ribbon is from Joy Crafts

PAWS!!!

New sketch challenge at Outlawz today - here I've used Bella from DigiStamps4Joy, our sponsor for the month.

I've coloured Bella using Copics with a little black polychromos pencil for extra shading. Hopefully I've achieved a shaggy dog look :D

The image and paper she's been mounted on were cut with Spellbinders dies.

I've altered mine slightly and just used two lines of ribbon instead - mainly coz I've been dying to use this PAWS ribbon which I got from Crafty Ribbons.
