A Little Bunny Love

Today I'm sharing Rocket & Rosie, the image can be found in my shop here.  You can get 10% off these and any of my other images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

Rocket & Rosie is the image that we're giving away at Kit & Clowder this week :)

I've coloured the little cuties with Copics using warm greys.  They were cut out with a Spellbinders die which I distressed with some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Around them image I've scattered some embossing enamel.

Here you can see a close up of my flower section, there are lilies and apple blossoms.  I've also used some wood chip elements from Scrapiniec.

To the top left you can see a tint wooden heart and a Love script sentiment.

My design papers are from Joy Craft, both papers have been distressed with a Tonic solutions tool.  The card behind it is a shaped one which I've covered with black card.

Some cream pearls finish off the embellishments.

Best Friends

I have the honour of joining Crafty Friends for this next challenge as their guest designer.  I'm sponsoring them this time and their theme is Friendship.

I've used a new image Miki & Shyla for my inspiration.  One of the Helen's on my design team (I have three LOL!) asked me to draw an Eskimo boy and Husky and that's what I did :)

I printed the image with the Best Friends sentiment onto a large area of card so I could make a CAS style card.  The image I coloured with Copics and polychromos pencils.

The edges were distressed with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz.  He's then been mounted onto some black then Kraft card.

The only other things I've done was to add some snowtex to look like they're walking in the snow and use a white gel pen to add lots of little white dots as if it's snowing.

Hope you like my inspiration for this challenge.

You can join me on my SkeepSki Designs Challenge blog and I also have a SheepSki Designs Facebook Group

Gentle Breeze

Here's a final piece of inspiration for the Passionate Paper Creations sponsorship week from me.

This was one of the first images I did, she's called Emmy's Breeze.  You can find her in my Etsy shop and if you've found the discount code in the Passionate Papers Creations banner on their Facebook group you'll be able to get yourselves 20% off my images :D

I've coloured her with ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.  After I'd coloured her I fussy cut her ready to go onto the card.

For this one I've decided to let the design papers from Studio Light do the work.  I've distressed the papers with a Tonic Solutions tool.  These have been mounted onto some black card.  Emmy was then mounted on top slightly below the design papers.  Her hair is also slightly outside the card to the left.  My aim was to give the feeling of a gentle summer breeze blowing when I drew her.

The sentiment is from Scrapiniec coloured with black Copis.  The butterflies are also from them and I've coloured them with to shades of purple ProMarker.

Hope you've enjoyed my inspirations and the games this week

Butterfly Magic

Today I'm sharing a very simply styled card to showcase this image Butterfly Magic.  I'd seen photos of huge moths and butterflies and thought it might be fun to try and recreate something like this in a digi image.

You can find Butterfly Magic in my Etsy shop - check out the bottom of my post for a 20% discount code off images in my shop

I've coloured the image here with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I wanted the butterfly to pop so I've used some bright oranges and reds.

Once I'd finished the image I cut it large and distressed the edges with ink from Tim Holtz (black soot) and a Tonic solutions tool.  The image has been mounted onto some distressed black card.

Added to this just to add a little more interest are a few rhine stones, two silver dragonfly beads and I've also stencilled the word beauty in black soot ink onto the card.

This has been created as part of the inspiration for the Passionate Paper Creations sponsorship event for this week :D

Movement

If you've not seen this image before it's called Flamanco.  I originally did a water colour painting with this image (years ago) so when I started drawing again I recreated it from the painting.

This is one of my images you can find in my Etsy shop that shows movement in the image.  I just love the flow of material in this dress!  Its also a good one to pratice folds, so far I've coloured it two different ways.  If you've joined me from the Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook group you'll have a special discount code to get you 20% off my images - check their banner ;)

There will be lots of inspiration from my fab design team ladies and also Rhea's lovely ladies. Also make sure you check out their blog this week where there will be some more inspiration

So how did I create this..........
I've used ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils to colour the image with.  I cut a large square around the image then doodled a border.

Design papers I've used for this card are from Lili of the Valley and 13arts.  I've also used some black card.

The DANCE sentiment was cut out from the same purple design paper using a die cut set from Sizzi.

My final touch for this card was to use one sequin and several rhine stones.

Hope you like my first inspiration for this week

As well as providing inspiration I'm going to enter this into some challenges detailed below to hopefully advertise the sponsorship event this week :)

Here's the inspiration I've created using my reduced price image Rocket & Rosie.  You can find them in my shop - but if you're not quick they will have gone back up to full price!!

I've coloured these little cuties with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I mainly wanted them to be white so have just given the lines an accent of colour.

I then spent ages fussy cutting them out.

To make up the background scene for them I've used some Kraft card and design paper from 13art onto which I've used a Creative Expressions Birch Tree Mask and Tim Holtz walnut stain ink for the trees.
Under the bunnies are two black and white hearts cut from card using a die from Fantasy Magic.  The mushrooms were cut using a die from Joy Crafts and have been edged with walnut stain ink from Tim Holtz.

Finally I've made some wooden butterflies by using some tiny wooden hearts that I got off eBay.

Hope you love my inspiration and I'll see you over at Markers Papers Digis and the challenges

Freebie in monochromatic & tutorial news

Happy Weekend - don't forget this is the weekend when you can grab this exclusive freebie.

The image is called Wild Roses and I'm offering it as an exclusive freebie at Through The Craft Room Door Facebook Group the weekend of 4 - 5 February only, click here to join the group.

I created this look by using just one black polychromos pencil.  I was hoping to achieve a black and white photo effect.  I would have done more on the background last night but ended up with claw hand after doing this and a card for my dad  :D

I've run out of time to do any more on it for showing it off for today so just thought I'd post it as it is.

A copy of the watermarked image is below.

Also remember this?

I've made up a photo tutorial to go into the next Through The Craft Room Door magazine so you can find out exactly what I used to create it and how I got the background effect :D

From this......

...... to this

Don't forget to grab your freebie

Winter Fairy

Little Breena & Bear can be versatile I've used her for my inspiration for the new challenge I'm sponsoring at Do-Al(l) Keatives.

She's been coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with a Spellbinders die.  I've used two more circular Spellbinders dies to mount her onto to create a frame.

The design papers are fairly plain ones from Maja Design and First Edition.  All these have been distressed.

On top and between the layers you can see icicle and tree die cuts from Marianne Design.

I've applied some loose glitter from DecoArt to the icicles and some snowtex to the trees and along where the ground would be.  My final embellishment are some tiny silver snowflakes charms.

Wild Roses Freebie

Heads Up everyone!  There is a planned freebie event coming up.

This is my new image Wild Roses.  Now you may or may not know I've got close ties with Through The Craft Room Door.  They were my very first DT - to say I was scared was an understatement.  I'd only just done a guest design spot for the ABC Challenge which has now sadly closed.  Without the encouragement and support from the lovely ladies over there - some of them I still work with I wouldn't be here creating these lovely images for you all and be able to give you the opportunity for freebies!

We're planning a combined freebie event on the weekend of 4 / 5 February.  All you have to do is join Through The Craft Room Door Facebook Group to grab it.  Cara will be posting it for that weekend only.  That will be your only opportunity to get it as it's not even in my shop!
Here is my version coloured, you're likely to see a few around being coloured up by the Design Team for Through The Craft Room Door for your inspiration.

To create this I've used Copics and polychromos pencils (on the flowers), ProMarkers and polychromos pencils (on the leaves) and Chameleon Pens for the background.  I've already been asked by my own DT how I created the back ground so I'm thinking I probably need to do a tutorial.  I also need to experiment with Copics and ProMarkers to see if I can do something similar with those.  I know few people have Chameleon Pens.

Here's the black and white watermarked version of the image

My inspiration for this image was the wild roses that grew in my grandparents back garden.  All I remember is a mass of amazingly gorgeous flowers growing up against the garage.  I wanted to try and capture the beauty of them and be able to share it.

So here's my finished card

Added to the image is some embossing enamel.  It's been mounted onto some back card stock.  Both the image and the card stock have been distressed.

There are a few black gems and a sentiment from Scrapienic coloured with black ProMarker.

Hope to see you over at the Facebook Group for Through The Craft Room Door.  Did you know they have a blog challenge as well as the magazine.  You can post your blog entries into their Facebook Group with any designers image :D

Hope you enjoy the freebie which you can share in my Facebook Group SheepSki Designs and also in my new Challenge Blog (shhhh.... I've a DT call on at the moment)

Freebie with Kit & Clowder

I coloured her with ProMarkers, blending out the colours to almost white in places to give an ethereal fairy effect.  Added to that was a little black polychromos pencil to add a real contrast of depth to the shading.

When I mounted her onto the card I added lashings of glitter using DecoArt Glamour Dust.

Here's what the black and white version looks like before I coloured it.

I distressed some design paper from First Edition and Lili of the Valley.

A sprinkling of Petaloo Darjeeling paper flowers and a button sentiment from Lemoncraft completes the look

Hope you love what I did with her.  I'd love to see what you do with her

Pretty parasol

It's new sketch day at Outlawz :D

I'm sponsoring our sketch team for August.  This image I'm using today is Becca you can find her here on Etsy.

I've coloured her with ProMarkers, cut her out with a Spellbinders die and used some antique linen distress ink from Tim Holts on the edges.
Here's our sketch for this week

I've used design papers from Joy Crafts and some black card stock.  The banners were cut using off cuts of papers and a La La Land Die.

Embellishments of pearls, some paper flowers and wooden hearts are my finishing touches.

Hope you like my creation for today - love to see you at the sketch challenge.

Birthday balloons

Yes here I am again telling you all I'm sponsoring Outlawz Sketch - that's because I'm the sponsor for the whole of August :D

You can find all my images in my shop on Etsy SheepSki Designs - click here

I've used Flump n Tic for my inspiration today, coloured with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  You should be able to see from this first picture that I've sketched some clouds into the background too.
This is our sketch for today

I've flipped the sketch and instead of using some ribbon I've drawn some more balloons.  These I coloured in pink to match with the theme of the rest of the card - hopefully making the single blue balloon pop!

The edges of the image were treated with some Milled Lavender ink from Tim Holtz before mounting it onto some black card stock.

The birthday sentiment is a Spellbinders die and I've used a couple of black gems

Design paper are from Maja Design.

And that ladies and gents is it :D
Hopefully see you over at the challenge.  AND if you want to call in at my Facebook group click here!
