Sunflowers with Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has the weekend been so far? We are seeing our daughter and son-in-law on Monday. We are looking after the dog while they have a look for beds.

This week is Encore Week at Beccy Place this time Carla and I used the Thinking of You Digital image set. The cards we have made are on Beccy's Blog today.

Here is the card I made.

I  had the paper left over from another project. It was perfect to go with the images.

The sunflowers were coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils. I used nested Oval dies from Presscut to cut the image and the sentiment.

The gold square was left over from another project. I think it adds a nice touch.

Have a good week.

Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) - Bees

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I am back again today with my second post. This is for the new challenge at the Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) challenge blog and June has chosen the theme of BEES.

I was going through my stash and I came across a background I had made with Pixie Powders.

When I think of Bees I think of summer and flowers.

The Bee die came from the Dovecraft Bee Happy Die Collection. I cut the die in black and backed it with white glitter card. I coloured the yellow bits with Promarkers.

The sentiment comes with the die set too.

I made the sunflowers with a Spellbinder's die set. I love sunflowers they are so bright and cheerful they look like they are smiling at you.

I was very pleased with how this card turned out and very pleased that I had bought a bee die set.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Well here we are Friday has come around again. I am just off out to help at a Felting Workshop this time to make a pot. Watch this space.

The new challenge starts today on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Birthdays. This time the sponsor is Time for Tea Designs.

I found some sunflower themed papers in my stash and I used them for the background,

Time for Tea Designs is the Sponsor for this challenge if you click on the logo you will be taken to the store.

This image is called Sunflower Girl and is available HERE. I printed he on to Neenah card and I coloured her with Promarkers.

I made a sunflower with a Spellbinders die set.

This is a stamp that I have had for a long time. It is so useful for adding a sentiment when I don't have much space.

I do love sunflowers they are so bright and cheerful.

Have a great weekend. I might even show you what I make at the workshop sometime.

Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge Blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Autumn Colours

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here again. This morning  we are going away for the weekend. I won tickets for the Crafts 4 Crafters  show at the Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet. We decided to make a weekend of it we are hoping to visit some National Trust properties as well, now we are members. It will be lovely to leave the noise of the drive behind for a while.

Back to today the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes this time with the optional twist of Autumn colours. The sponsor is Bugaboo I do love their images and I am pleased to say that they are sponsoring us twice more before the end of the year.

The back ground was created with some left over stamped autumn leaves and a piece of card stamped with Sunflowers and coloured with Distress ink.

There are some gorgeous image in the store if you click on the logo you should be taken there.

This is Autumn Squirrel he can be purchased HERE.  He does look so happy with his acorns. He was coloured with Promarkers.

This is a Visible Image stamp.

Fantasy Stampers - Sunshine Colours

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

When this post goes live we will be just getting off the cruise ship and heading home to prepare for our daughter's rabbits to be dropped off  after lunch.

It is time for the new challenge on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the theme this time is Sunshine Colours.

I love sunflowers they just say Summer to me. I also wanted to try some masking.

The stamp set I used is the Do-crafts Build a Sunflower set ( I don't think it is available anymore I have had the set for a long time). I made three masks from Post-it notes so that I could get the layered effect with the stamping. I coloured the images with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I use them so often now I really like the results I get with them and a bit of water on a brush.

This bow was created with a Sue Wilson die set.

The sentiment is from one of John Lockwood's sets.

I will catch up with all I have missed this evening when things should be a bit quieter.

If you check back on the Fantasy Stamper Challenge blog tomorrow the winners will be announced.

Enjoy the weekend.

A Sunflower Leaving Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Today is the last day of school for six weeks. For the me the holiday starts at 12:00. I probably won't get away then you know how it is saying goodbye to people.

This is another of the leaving cards I made for the end of term. It is okay to share this card now as the lady in question has received it. This is another A4 card that was signed by lots of people.

I bought the  Spellbinders sunflower die set so that I could decorate a gift bag for the wedding last week. I knew the bride would be carrying sunflowers. I liked the sunflowers so much I decided to use them on the leaving card as well. I must mention that I am getting on very well with my Spellbinders Platinum machine I am using the plates from my old Grand Calibur with it.

The die set comes in multiple parts and you cut them several times to make the sunflowers.

This central section was made with the Sue Wilson Just for you die set.

Here is the decorated gift bag I think I made it just a bit more special. I did add a tag with the bride and groom's names on.

I have a few days at home on my own before my husband is on leave the following week. I am hoping to make some head way with the Save the Date cards for our daughter's wedding and I would like to get ahead with my design team projects.

I would like to enter the Summer Stop Challenge at Cuttlebug Mania Challenge Blog and Week 238 at Pixie's Snippets Playground.  I would also like to be considered for the Design Team Call at Papermill Direct.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting

LOTV Sunflower Wedding and my pictures from Ally Pally

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been going. I went back to school on Monday and I was on a trip,  this involved standing in the rain for an hour and not managing to get warm all day. The children we took had a lovely time and that is the main thing. If only we had gone today the weather is so much nicer and more of the activities could have been done outside.

We have another family wedding in July this time I am not involved with making anything only our card and a small gift. At Ally Pally on Sunday I got some grey ink, I couldn't get Watering Can but I did get London Fog,  I used it to stamp the sunflowers for the background. They were heat embossed with a clear powder. I chose three shades of Distress ink and inked all over the background. I found the pretty lace in my stash. When I am at Craft shows I often buy bags of off cut  lace and ribbon this gives me the chance to try things out before I commit to buy lots of something.

The image, which came from the LOTV Occassion 3 stamp set,  was stamped onto watercolour paper with black Archival ink.  I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens and I moved the colour around with a paint brush and some water. I love colouring images this way.

Here you can see a bit more detail of the background using the grey ink made it more subtle.

Here are some of the pictures we took on Sunday when we were at Ally Pally I had such a nice time and everyone was so nice.

Leonie Pujol

Julia Watts

Wendy the Spanish Crafter (she was helping on the Creative Expressions stand)

John Lockwood he gave me back my cards that he had borrowed for some of his Hochanda shows.

In the packet he popped a lovely stamp set. I will be using that soon.

Phill Martin

Charlie Hopkins from Hochanda

Sue Wilson

While we were there we attended one of the shows going out live on Hochanda it was the last show of the day. You can just see me poking my head round the presenters waving goodbye. But between them you can see my husband looking rather grumpy.

This is my stash. Not all of it for me and some of it was free when you sat down to watch the shows being filmed. We did buy two more storage units for my craft bits so we spent loads.

You might have noticed that there is no sentiment on this card. The finished card will have one but I chose to use a die that I was sent from Tattered Lace recently  and that won't be on sale until the weekend.

I would like to enter this week's challenge at Through the Craft Room Door.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting.

Crafts Galore Encore - Use a Digi or a stamp

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have had a great week. Today there will be three posts from me which is rather unusual but three of the design teams I am on start their challenges today.

The first one is for the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog and the theme is use a digi image or a stamp in your creations.

This time we have a sponsor and the team were able to choose images.  Mine comes from the Thinking of You Set.  I used the Double Pierced  Rectangles to make a frame.

All the images were supplied by Beccy Muir at Beccy's Place. If you click on the logo you will be taken to the store.

When you buy the image there are sentiments and a coloured version and a line art version. I did ask for the coloured image. To add some sparkle I coloured the centre of the sunflowers with a sparkly pen.

I liked the image so much that I decided to make a gift bag to match the card.

Don't forget to join in with the challenge and you could win some of these beautiful images.

Enjoy your day. I will be back soon.

Happy Crafting.

Sunflower Candi

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been so far? I has been very wet here so I am spending the last week of my holiday crafting. Not all bad then. I am hoping to get ahead with some of my Design Team makes. If everything works out I will be doing something exciting at the weekend. I will let you know about it if it actually happens.

This is just a brief  post from me today. I wanted a quick birthday card so I turned to my members gift from C&C -  the Craftwork Cards pad and Candi.

The image from the pad made the topper with the Candi added. I stick the Candi on to the card with a gell glue I find this easier than sticky pads.

I do like sunflowers they are such bright cheerful flowers.

There you have it a nice quick card.

I hope the rest of the week is kind to you.

Happy Crafting
