The Things We Take For Granted

Baru-baru ni, terjadi satu insiden dalam lembaran hidupku yang membuat aku terdiam sejenak sebelum berupaya melafazkan kata-kata syukur. (perghh, skema tak ayat ini? =P) I was thinking, how different my life would have been if one of the many things that have been in my life, was not there to begin with? So, bear with me y'all. I was driving to my bro's home in Balakong, and fuel is running low so being the skema (adik-adik, skema ni perkataan bahasa Malaysia, jadinya jangan guna perkataan ini dalam karangan bahasa Inggeris ya) person I am, I made a stop at the Shell gas station next to the Nouvelle Hotel, the one located alongside the PLUS highway. All done, I started my engine. Hmmm, just some cranking sounds. Let's try again. Okay, one more time. "Repeat steps 3 more times." Aaaaand, no more sound made when I turned they key. Couldn't be the battery la. I just changed it last Raya 2013, which in case you don't remember when was it, it was in Aug...

That Moment

Have you ever been in a situation where you almost fell asleep, and then suddenly this movie starring you in the past months started playing. And at that moment, you realised the biggest mistake you have done? In my case few nights ago, there are two. One - not being a man of my words. Two - not doing the things I was afraid to do because of doubts. I will redeem myself. Not being the old high school Danial, rather a new me. And I don't know if this blog still got people reading it, but if it still does, you kind people, will be my witnesses.

We Take Both - Good and Bad

"Ore, ore." Meaning, "Me, me." which means "It's me, it's me." Ore is Japanese for me, in a casual form, not so polite way because you are close to the person you're talking to. The same with Aku in Bahasa. Anyway, not gonna teach language here. Just wanna share about this scam I just got to know happening in Malaysia. Man...Thanks to Azrul Hisham for sharing and letting us all know and aware about it. Another thing to watch out for people. So, here how the scam works. You get a message from a number you don't have in your contact list, claiming to be your relatives - uncle, dad, brother, sister. The sender will then say, in the message, that he/she runs out of prepaid credit and is using his/her friend's handphone. Example taken from Azrul Hisham's blog - Ni p'cik guna kad orng, tolng isikan p'cik top up RM30 di number baru p'cik ni nom dia 0128105169,pasal p'cik ade kes di balai polis boleh tak cepat sikit b...

New Species...

Me and my colleagues were briefed by the boss when she shrieked upon seeing something on the floor. My colleague J had a look, and picked the thing up, and put it on his note book. And I gotta say, I've never seen anything like this.  What could it be... That's how it moved. Its front part will stick to the ground, pulling the whole body forward. Just like how bacteria move. Some bacteria. Anyone knows what on God's lovely earth is that insect? I assume it's an insect because there were only 6 legs/3 pairs of legs. hehehehe

Hehehehe....

So, this evening I decided to go for a jog. Headed out of the home and ran into another jogger, wearing exactly red shirt just like me. I smiled at him, and he smiled back, shyly. And I was like, what the heck? For a second it felt like we were flirting? What the heck?!?!?! Anyway, I continued jogging, thought of taking some photos. So I did. The photos turned out, artistic. I don't need any photo editing softwares to get such effect =P My phone camera was high on drug. Home sweet home... I jogged for 11 minutes, and cooled down for another 3 minutes. I'm not sure if that's correct or not. I think I better go check out later on the forum =P. Good sweat and I'm looking forward to do it again. I must say though, I'm not used to jog when people look at you like one kind. Or maybe it was just me heh. Back in Gippsland, I only ran on the treadmill, and cycled for cardio. Oh and some skipping too. And after cardio, me and my gym buddies would work on the weights, dumbells...

Popularity Comes With A Price

What price? Popular people get sick, flu or fever first before their other friends, who are not as popular as them. At least that's what I understand from the explanation given by two researchers from Uni of California and Harvard University. They are currently studying the 2009 swine flu pandemic. Now that I think about it, it sure makes sense. Popular people get to meet a lot of other people since they know a lot of people, and seriously people want to be close to these popular guys and girls in town (or campus depending where you are) The more people you know, the more physical contacts you are likely to have (be casual, intimate, or tooo intimate =P). The more contacts, the more likely some bad germs are to be "transferred" to the popular people. And not only that, since they are popular perhaps they are smokers, drinkers too and if they socialise a lot they probably gonna engage in more smoking and drinking. Hey, makes sense! Though I know this is not always true. He...

Only Works In This Year 2010

Got this from Loohan's blog ! I know it must have been the work of math, but I can't help but feel WOW! after trying this Chocolate Calculator! Thanks Loohan for sharing ;) Don't tell me your age; you'd probably lie anyway-but the Hershey Man will know! YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH This is pretty neat. DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST! Â It takes less than a minute ... Â Work this out as you read ... Â Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! Â This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun. 1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10) 2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold) 3. Add 5 4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1760 .. If you haven't, add 1759.. 6... Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number The fi...

Morning Is Indeed The Best Time

I learned a couple of things about myself today. I always thought that a person knows himself the best, but I guess it can be wrong sometimes. Just like other mornings where I surf the net for news, or just blog walking to some random blogs, I did the same today, nothing different. Only that the things I saw and read this morning made me realise that - - I am not as mature and as intellectual I thought I was and I can still be bias and that's not gonna be good. It might be possible that deep inside I tend to overlook some small things because I want to see things the way I want them to be. As someone who is supposedly mature and wise I really should have taken my time, being silent and at the same time think, look for the answers and more stories, infos, facts on certain issues. I will end up making myself look silly in the future if I didn't acknowledge and address this problem I'm facing. Well, probably it's not too much of a problem just that I thought if I can impro...

*Strott*

What do you do when you fall sick? Obviously you go see the doctor! But growing up I think it's a common sight - sick people don't go to see the doctor, they only see the doctors when they are not getting better after few days. I rarely get sick. Since I was a small, and for that I thank God. Well, at least that's what I remember - I don't fall sick that often. And usually on the same day I would get better. I'm not a fan of panadol too. Some people I know they like to pop that thing in their body system whenever they get headache, fever. What I usually do, I drink a lot of water, wear myself thick jackets to get my body sweating and that's it, God willing I feel better the next time I wake up from my rest. But this time around, it's Ramadhan so drinking a lot of water can't really be done in the day. I did however drink a lot during Sahur to compensate the zero water intake in the day. I don't know perhaps I should take a break from tonite's ter...

AA Battery..You Don't Know What It Is??

Woo..just watched the Semi Final Badminton Men's Singles between Malaysian Loh and a Thailand player. Loh played really well in the second set, before he got his right leg injured but he didn't give up that set. He forfeited the match during the interval of the rubber set trailing 3-10. He did good and needless to say I'm proud as a Malaysian. I hope he will make his own mark in the world stage in the future. Okay, that's not what I wanna blog about tonight. But about AA batteries. You do know what are AA batteries, don't you? Come on! I know nowadays people don't walk around listening to walkmans which in the past when I was in secondary school, still cool and uses AA batteries, most of them. And I know, cameras now come with rechargeable lithium ion batteries. Well most of them I guess. Because mine which I bought in 2007 at Morwell's DickSmith uses AA batteries! You know a digicam uses AA batteries if it has that 'big belly' coming out. When I cle...

You'll Never Walk Alone

I think the lonely world that I live in was perhaps self imposed at the beginning but has now become the invisible prison that I can never escape. When all we yearn for is a single soul to understand our own, the greatest pain is realizing it will never be. There is no one around me that I can feel that connected to, or share my heart with and in the absence of that emotional warmth, I only have the cold expanse of the Internet to document my human condition. Guest on Jun 16, 2010 @ 07:58 I guess, that's how and why some people started blogging, going to forum, using nicknames, or just hide behind anonymous. Some people find comfort when strangers start giving them words of courage, hope after reading their 'documentation' in the internet. Sometimes, we might feel that none of our family members, friends, colleagues care because they don't seem to care. But, who knows the strangers that give you the strengths to move on is just right next to you. You might be surpris...

Lucid Dreaming?

Heyya guys! 'Sup? Now I wanna talk about lucid dreaming. Since I got myself in 'Stumble' I always come across websites discussing it and how you can achieve it instead of waiting for it naturally. Let me give you a bit of introduction. From The Lucidity Insititute , "lucid dreaming means dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming", in other words, you know that you are dreaming and it's not real, happening in the physical world. It can happen in the middle of the dream, or from the start of it. You know that it is just a dream from clues in the dream or you just know it without any clues. Maybe if I find myself slam dunking, it's actually a dream? Will I be able to outslam dunk Jordan in my dream? hahaha Anyway, after doing a lot of readings (online of course) on this subject, I thought, might as well give it a try huh. Oh, before I forgot, lucid dreaming doesn't mean you are given the full control of your dream. Sometimes you have little control too...

Do You Like Children? LOL

Now, I don't know if you like children or not, but we were once one of them. Some of them are cute and annoying, cute and naughty, cute and smart. It's always the combo of cute and other trait. =P One word to describe them - full of potentials. Opps, that's more than one! Anyway, I want to share this video I watched last night. It's pretty old - 23rd April 2010 if I'm not wrong. This girl, Adora Svitak is just inspirational and as one who is no longer a child/kid/boy physically (hey, I may be young at heart, who knows? =P) I think I have learned one great lesson from her talk (I believe she has more than just one thing to share with us adults) - don't underestimate them just because they are young and new to the world. We should learn from them, as much as they learn from us to be better persons, shaping a better future. And yeah, I agree with her - "when expectations are low, trust me we will sink to them". I recommend this video to you readers. Stil...

Keanu Reeves Is Edward Cullen?

hahaha gotcha! =P Everybody knows the Matrix guy, Keanu Reeves. I first watched his movie when I was in primary school. It was "Speed". As a boy, I found the movie nice. I don't know what I would think if I watch it again now, that was the first and last time. Anyway, straight to the point, I don't know if this has been around since long time ago, but it came shocking to me. I still think it's all just a coincidence - Keanu Reeves born in Lebanon, and the French actor Paul Mounet was missing and his body can't be found. Reeves was "born" in Beirut, Lebanon. Beirut throughout hitory has had strong ties to Europe, and more than any other France. The very same country Paul Mounet was from. In 1920, only two years before the death of Paul Mounet, the Ottoman Empire dissolved after WW2 leaving all of Beirut under French Control. Could it be possible that Keanu Reeves is actually Paul Mounet and moved from Lebanon to the United States to continue his work ...

You Got Talent Or Not?

When I was in Standard 4, I tried out to be the lead singer of the nasyid group in my school. Few of my friends came to me afterwards and said I have great voice. hehehee Years after that, in a boarding school in Kuala Terengganu I found myself singing songs, mostly Too Phat's, Linkin Park's and LimpBizkit's in the toilet, only. If I were to sing those songs outside in the dorm, I'm pretty sure my dormmates would all die horrible deaths LOL. Yes, it made me wonder how come such thing happen? And then when I learned that boys hit puberty and stuff, I could accept it, a bit. Heh. But then in secondary school, form 1, I discovered I no longer can draw nicely like how I used to in primary school. I remember drawing portraits of Batman & Robin, Malaysia PM then Dr. Mahathir, and even my dad. Give me a drawing pencil now, you can see I'm struggling to draw a straight line! Okay, that's not true. =P Now, I don't think my transformation from a boy to a teenager ...
