Start Of Many Good Things Hopefully

Ah...it feels so good and refreshing to take cold shower after a hard day giving helping hands during the gotong royong just now. This weekend has been a productive one, thank God. At least I'm making an effort to be better than the previous weekend. Anyway yesterday I helped out at Ligno Biotech's product launch at two pharmacies in Kajang, one in the town at this pharmacy called DF Pharmacy and another one in Bukit Mewah. I was placed at DF Pharmacy with another 2 intern students.  The stand. Dr.Tan and Ms.Ng posting up the poster. 100% Money Back Guarantee if your cough and asthma still as bad as before after trying Tiger Milk Mushroom's capsule for 7 days. Seriously. I found this funny. A small table for us to talk to potential customers who were interested about tiger milk mushrooms. So, we managed to get 5 customers by lunch time. Not bad considering three of us never did any selling job. Now I know how does it feel to do one. That reminds me of what t...

So I Heard

Something big is coming this weekend. This Saturday. Yeah, seriously. The soft launch of Ligno Biotech 's product at two pharmacies in Kajang! So these two stands will be displayed outside the two pharmacies. Can't wait for Saturday!!  So, this Saturday me and 2 of my colleagues, along with the L.I students will be at these two pharmacies - one in the town on Kajang, another somewhere in Bukit Mewah which I have no idea where it is. Will probably update about it more soon in case there are individuals interested with our products. =) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last Sunday was a day of reunion. I met up with my long lost buddy Husseng, I mean Hussen hehehe. I went to watch the Non Chinese Basketball League games that Sunday morning. My friends Hussen and Raf play for the same team - Quakes while the captain of my high school basketball team Muaz plays for United Baller Shah Alam (? or so...

So, What's To Love In Balakong Jaya?

To be honest, nothing. Hahaha, but it has become a place I'm familiar with. Almost 9 months living here. Anyway, I'm gonna answer the questions asked by Guest on my shoutbox. Woot~ There is a RapidKL bus to Ligno Biotech. If you look at the map below, there is a T-Junction (which is no longer a T-Junction because a two-ways road has been built headed to the industrial park) where the bus always stops. The bus number is T417 and you can board it from KTM Serdang which is nearer to Ligno Biotech and also LRT Sungai Besi (which is a bit further).  'A' is Ligno Biotech. There is only one way to reach there which is via the T-Junction. If you turn right you will be going to the shoplots and also Taman Perindustrian Balakong Jaya 1. So, this is Seri Jati Apartment. And Taman...I don't know what's the name of this housing area. It's just located opposite Seri Jati Apartment. The front shoplots. Got market, groceries, MyMydin, Kelantanese restaurant, c...

Introduction To Ligno Biotech

I think I will make an entry for those interested in being part of the family. Even yesterday after work, my primary school friend and her friend who recently graduated from UIAM, Kuantan came over to see the place and passed me their CVs. And as you can see at my chatbox I have a long question from one of the interviewees yesterday. So, I will keep yourself posted y'all~ hehehehe

Maybe Mother's Day Special Should Be The Last To Come?

Pretty sure those who love blogging will find themselves in this spot - having torrents of ideas, things to blog but came the time to type it out - none did. To me it would be a bit difficult to blog about something that I wanted to long time ago so I usually start blogging again, about the new, recent ideas, interesting events or stuffs that took place. So, let's cut to the chase, talk about what happened lately. Oh before that, you guys heard about the E.coli outbreak in Europe ? Scary man, but it's really upsetting people pointing fingers because I really think at this stage, any possible measure to get the situation under control should be taken. Also to point out the point of origin of the outbreak, possible sources. This reminds me of   Vantage Point and one microbiology laboratory session I had last time where we had to trace back where did the epidemic originate from. Oh okay. So today, I bid farewell to my two seniors in Ligno Biotech. Both have other commitments...

Guys Always Don't Want To Ask For Directions, Don't Want To Listen To GPS..

Just occurred to me at work last week that many of these people coming for interviews or the suppliers, had trouble locating it. Come to think of it, I did too. I remember the night before my interview, my cousin Aboy and I went to the place spotted on Google Map. But we ended up taking the wrong way plus it was at night and we couldn't really be sure which way is which. (YES KAMI ORANG KAMPUNG JE.. =P) so I could only hope that the next morning we would be able to find the place in time for my interview. And I did. That was really hard. Key in "Ligno Biotech" on Google Maps, voila~ Google Map Or maybe you guys can have a look at this map that my boss made- Very near The Mines, KTM Serdang, Serdang Lama, UPM, oh and Minlon or some people call the building MACY. Hope this helps! =) hehehehe

If You're Happy Then You Know It

No thanks to all the worrying stuffs going on in my life. But hey that's what I call living. No problems in life equals to not living life at all. Well, to me at least.  Anyway, what's for dinner guys? Imma start my first entry of the month with the pictures of my dinner just now. Nothing grandiose or luxury or mouthwatering, just this~ Preparing black pepper sauce Phone camera getting dodgy-er. *hint hint* So I had chicken in black pepper sauce for dinner today. Well, was craving for one especially the one made by the gf last time when we were in Gippsland. Ah~good old days. At the moment I am craving my mom's vegetable soup. I don't know, my version of vege soup is not the same as my mom's so I guess I will give her a call tomorrow after work.  Work? Oh don't talk about it. Hahaha it's all good but not always but like I've said it's all good. Oh, and my boss is posting up another job ads - one as a Production Executive and another as a P...

TAMMAT

I remember the first time I saw the word "TAMMAT" after every old Malay movie when I was little, I was so impressed that even if you spell it backwards, it still is "TAMMAT" hahaha the simplicity of life for a kid. So, it's the end of March and tomorrow will be the 1st April, and so far I can proudly say I am recovering from my blog-laziness syndrome. Hahaha, including this post, it will be a total of 32 posts. Then again, I'd rather go for quality than quantity but I think the best way for me to get rid of this lazy bug is to just post any crap/thing/stuff that can get me blogging. Oh, and oh! Thank you PosOnline for being awesome! I mean, I was this close to miss my internet bill payment. I was looking forward to Friday but I guess, I have to wait until Monday then...Patient is virtue....not. =P It's been almost half a year. Love the job. Will probably blog about my life here sooon. How soon? Sooon! hehehehe

Oh, Time's Up!

I mean, the bosses already decided to interview two out of 4 applications they received for the Contract Research Scientist. The weird thing is, it will be this Saturday. Hmmm... =P Oh, and congrats to all Monash students who passed all subjects, and those who are going to graduate later in December, or probably next April in Gippsland? You guys did great, studied hard, played and partied even harder! XD This Spot-the-Differences picture was made by my man Calvin Ang, also my housemate at the time. This pic was taken during Tina's birthday party, early 2009. That sem I played hard, but didn't study hard =P hehehehe

OST Ayoub Slot Samarinda TV3

When I was blogging earlier, the show was on. I heard the theme song of the drama 'Ayoub' and I must say, I find the song so soothing, suits the background picture of white clouds in the sky. Listening to the song, while watching the opening scene. Marvelous work! All is good, but I wonder why that Ayoub guy is wearing all smart in the picture above, when in the drama just now, he was just a herdsman? Is he a herdsman? Well, his job got something to do with taking care of livestocks so I assume he works as a herdsman. =P Another story. Big day tomorrow. Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation is paying my workplace a visit tomorrow. A site visit. You know, Biotech Corp? If you watched Buleting Utama for the past months, you surely realised this special slot about biotechnology, and you could see our PM, the deputy PM, the minister of Science and Technology, and even the director (I think?) of the Biotech Corp saying all those lines how biotech can improve your lives, contr...

New Species...

Me and my colleagues were briefed by the boss when she shrieked upon seeing something on the floor. My colleague J had a look, and picked the thing up, and put it on his note book. And I gotta say, I've never seen anything like this.  What could it be... That's how it moved. Its front part will stick to the ground, pulling the whole body forward. Just like how bacteria move. Some bacteria. Anyone knows what on God's lovely earth is that insect? I assume it's an insect because there were only 6 legs/3 pairs of legs. hehehehe

Farewell~

Yesterday, there was a farewell party sort of for a colleague, or should I say ex colleague since she will no longer be working at Ligno. She was here for 6 months and now will embark on a different direction in her career. Because I don't have my memory stick, I couldn't really take much photos. That sucks. To that colleague of mine, I mean, ex colleague, I wish you all the best. Though I only got to talk to her 2-3 weeks ago (because I'm shy..heheheh XP) it was great to know her. All the best! =) No wonder Dr. Tan and my lady boss have been busy this week. Because of the MAHA exhibition starting today until this Sunday. MAHA stands for Ministry of Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism. Hmm, at least I know what to do today. It's all good. hehehehe

Got Two Myvis and A Polo In The Lab

I was moving one big lab equipment over from one side of the lab to the other side and when I put it on the bench, my colleagues asked me, if I know the price of that equipment. I know it must be expensive, just that I didn't know how expensive is that expensive. Get me? "It's the same price as Myvi you know." I was freaking out and was relieved that they told me about it after I was done moving that big machine. Man, I would be so nervous and too careful not to drop it had I known about that fact, that I might end up dropping it! 0____0" That was one Myvi. There are two new microscopes now in the lab, and they cost almost the same as Myvi, or maybe half of a Myvi. Crazy. In this lab I'm working in, there are Polos, Myvis, and even a big house. Scary workplace. Need to get  used to working life. Last time in uni, the worst thing one might have broken is the glassware only. LOL but now, break that machine, you're dead. Break that glass jar, one month s...

Hehehe Busted!

Reached the office this morning, sat down for awhile, surfing the net while waiting for another person to show up. "Danial blogs too!" Huh? What's going on here?? "Oh, we got two bloggers here in this company aa? We were looking around for bloggers to promote this company, but here we actually have not one, but two bloggers! Wah! Nice, can help aa?" And I nodded, with a smile. And in my head $$$$ LOL just kidding! =P My colleague was talking to the boss about smartphones and all that, so I wonder how did the conversation change direction to blog. I kept my being a blogger a secret but my colleague found out about that since she got me added on facebook and she has seen all those networked blogs updates every time I update my blog. BUSTED hahaha. Well, even if I wasn't asked to promote, I would love to promote this Cendawan Susu Harimau.Or better known scientifically as Lignosus rhinocerus. Which is a bit ironic to its glamour name, Susu Harimau/T...

OHS

OHS- Occupational Hazard and Safety. Learned that last time in uni. It's common sense really, most of what I learned anyway. I mean, you definitely would be extra careful when you are using sharp knife, cutter, or surgical blade to get your work done, no? I guess it's in human's nature to take be slacking once we get used to something. My daily task - run PCR , take samples from mushrooms, and most of the stuffs that I've already done in uni. But this time I got to do those things everyday. Hahaha, crazy, but I'm enjoying the learning process, learning experience. Anyway, yeah, so to get samples from mushrooms, need to use knife of course, because the mushrooms are not your typical stomach friendly mushrooms you can find in Giant, Tesco, Carrefour or any other markets, but the other parts of the mushrooms + preserved, frozen ones. So, cutting the mushrooms is actually one tedious job. After 3 weeks working here, I finally got myself in a supposedly occupational ...

Everyday Is A New Day

No, I'm not gonna sing P.O.D's Alive. Though every time the song comes to my head I would smile, reminiscing the good old days in SESMA, when I was first introduced to P.O.D by my double-decker mate, Nazirul Azam. Speaking of Nazirul (as I affectionately call him LOL everyone else calls him Aje) I ran into him last month at Mesra Mall. Was a pleasant surprise to see him after SPM. I didn't see him when I went to get my SPM result. P.O.D. I wonder how did we the high school students get to listen to this kind of songs last time..=P Oh, looks like I got off topic again. Typical Danial. Work has been so good. Everyday I learn new stuff. All the things I learned in uni just came back to me as I work through the experiments, protocols. Man, how I wish I had done summer project in Monash Gippsland last time. Hahah =P And today this colleague sent me back home. LOL funny considering my house is just 3 minutes walking distance from the workplace. At first I politely decline...

It Was A..

good day one? Or pretty much nothing-boring day one? Hahaha whichever it was, I'm kinda glad I already got through it. Tomorrow's gonna be busy day. And I just discovered I'm in a completely new company, though still work under the same roof. Oh well. But I love how everyone was so helpful just now. And pretty much got this positive aura around them LOL. The big boss and his assistant were so cool too. I'm so tired now, didn't drink enough water. =___=" hehehehe
