Christmas diy

Hello!

Christmas is around the corner....I can't believe it! Especially with this crazy warm weather we're having I have to keep reminding myself to get started with winter/Christmas to do list.

Every Christmas I have all these crafty projects I'd like to try and I always run out of time (I literally should start planning in June).....but if nothing else at least I can share these diy finds with you....in case you have the time to try one out.

These rustic little trees make adorable decor pieces don't you think?

LOVE these painted gold leaf ornaments!

I love these felt  ball garlands. I know you can make your own felt balls but I rather order a kit like this one and just thread the ready made felt balls.

I love creating diy wrapping paper with stamps...and if you don't have stamps grab a potato!

Bye!

happy birthday + no bake cheese cake recipe

Hello!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. :)

I'm sharing a card I made for my best friend's birthday. I did some masking and used my Daisies and Spring Blessings stamp sets.

I used my Graph'it markers to colour.

I also wanted to share a quick and easy no bake cheese cake. I added fresh strawberries instead of the cherry topping.

diy xmas gifts

Hello!

I'm back with a few diy gift ideas. I think one of the best gifts you can give is food! Baked goodies are always perfect! A batch of yummy cookies paired with some quality tea or coffee should leave the receiver very happy! And of coarse if you're a card maker than a set of handmade cards is a lovely gift too!

Here are some other ideas.

I LOVE this.

Perfect for bakers!

Such a cute idea. Pair this with a nice bottle of wine.

And for those who like to take notes an adorable handmade notebook.

Hope you pop by tomorrow for a special post...it's my birthday!

Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop + Giveaway + 20% Off

Edit: winner will be announced tomorrow and pre order sets are also available for the 20% off sale!

Hello!

Welcome to another JD release blog hop!

I'm adding two new sets to the shop...

and Winnie

I made a very simple card with my Anemone stamp set using watercolours to colour it. So quick and easy (the sentiment is from my Roses set which I stamped with gold ink). I think this would have looked even better if I heat emobossed the flower with gold embossing powder (which I don't have and need to buy asap!).

I need to use up some pattern paper and scraps (I just don't have space to hoard anything!). So that's what I did with this card using my Winnie stamp set.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

I did some fussy cutting (I always try to keep my images easy to cut out...I hope to have coordinating dies in the future).

For my final card I did some masking and kept it very simple and a one layered card. I just LOVE this stamp set....I think it's one of the cutest halloween sets if I do honk my own horn thank you very much! ;)

And as always I coloured with my Graph'it markers.

On to the blog hop....I usually giveaway the sets that are being released but I think from now on I will giveaway a $50 gift certificate for my shop...because I know not everyone like Halloween. So make sure to leave comments as you hop for a chance to with a $50 Jane's Doodles gift certificate AND all stamps are 20% for the next 24 hours! :)

Here's the order of the hop

See ya at the end!

school is out!

YEEHAW! School is out! :)
I am proud to say that I was packing away orders all day yesterday and they are ready to be shipped! I also got my very first order from Japan! :)

Now to restock my shop!! lol! I'm putting my first order in so hopefully in 2-3 weeks I'll be adding some old and new sets to the shop.

I had to make a quick card for Mia's teacher. Mia finished grade 4 which means saying goodbye to her teacher (they have the same teacher grade 1 to grade 4 and then grade 5 and on it's a different teacher for each subject).

I used my Read All About It stamp set (which I will be re ordering this week) and coloured with my Graph'it markers.

I can't believe how quickly this school year passed....crazy! I'll have Marko in grade 7, Mia in grade 5 and Jakov in grade 2.......snif, snif...they grow up to fast!

happy birthday

Today it's my dad birthday....he would have been 82 (he was 18 years older than my mom...how about that!). I can't help but think of him every day because I can see so much of him in my kids especially my oldest.

Since it's Thursday and I like to do #tbt (throw back thursday) on instagram and it's my dad's birthday I wanted to share this photo of my father in a wedding party. I drew an arrow to point him out...handsome fella!

The girl infront of him is his sister (my aunt).

I miss them both.

I had this Little Miss Mia image coloured for a while which came in handy this morning when I was starring at my background I stamped  and coloured (using my Doodle Flowers II stamp set). I coloured using my Graph'it markers.

SMILE

I dare you not to smile!!! :)

I love these critters in my Smile stamp set! I used my Graph'it markers to colour them in. You can totally create this card by masking all the critters to create a one layer card but I like to colour (it relaxes me) so I often have a bunch of images cut out and coloured ready for card assembly! :)

Pop on over to the JD blog for more inpiration!

Oh Crab!

Hello!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! :)

I'm sharing a card I created using my Under the Sea stamp set.

For the background I used my water colours. I coloured the rest with my Graph'it markers and I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.
