Seize the Birthday - Rainbow of Colors

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Cathy wants us to use a Rainbow of Colors. Of course you can always just make a regular birthday card if you are not into our "Topping" option.

Here is the card I came up with.
I cut a white panel and then blended these inks in rainbow fashion: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Call Me Clover, Pacific Point, Highland Heather and another row of Real Red.  I cut the panel down to to fit behind the Sizzix Tartan Plaid die cut, and then glued it to the white card base.  I used Birch Press Splendid Cosmos Contour Layers die for the flower cut from Pale Papaya and sponged Pumpkin Pie ink in the centers before gluing the layers together.  The center is cut from Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz with a little Call Me Clover ink sponged on one side.  I glued the flower on and then glued the leaves under the petals.  I didn't think about it, but the flower covers the Highland Heather row.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments and cut with the matching die, and  I added 2 plain layers under the stamped layer for some dimension.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the Team and our Party Guest over at Seizer the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.

I used a new die, Birch Press Splendid Cosmos Contour Layers die for the pretty red bloom.  I die cut it from SU Sweet Sorbet card and layered it together.  The center is cut from scraps of yellow and black.  The leaves for from PTI Into the Blooms: Dahlia cut from SU Old Olive card stock.  I mounted them to a panel embossed with Altenew Natural Wicker Pattern EF and then to a black mat.  The sentiment is cut from SU Wanted to Say dies and glued on in a slant to kind of match the embossing.  I then added it to a white card base to finish my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay warm.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Another Christmas Card

I am slowly getting some Christmas cards done before the rush and I have one to share today.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Top 3 picks at Peace on Earth.

I used some new dies to make my card - Birch Press Holly Sprig Contour Layers and Penny Black Classy Frames.  I die cut all of them from white and colored the Holly Sprig with Copics.  The white frame is the middle frame of the set.  The larger mat is the center cut out from the largest frame and stamped with a sentiment from SU Brightest Glow (ret.).  I blended some Crumb Cake ink around the edges.  I mounted the frame piece with foam tape on a mat embossed with Spellbinders Scattered Christmas EF, and then to a thin mat of SU Real Red.  I will probably make more of these for Christmas as I really like it.

I will link my card to the Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge.

Also to Darnell's NBUS as this is my first time using these 2 new dies.
