Sneak Peak

I have been rather quiet of late.  Working on finishing Liz and Bills bed quilt. I had to add a whole other 12.5 wide section to bring the size up.  These blocks are 4.5 unfinished.

I am supposed to travel to Minnesota the first week of May and Liz and Bill arrive on the 12th.  Next weekend will be machine quilting and binding.

Today I am play sewing for me.  I will have plenty of hand stitching for when the Masters finally is playing on tv.

I do smaller eye fooler quilts....  Can you say afflicted lol.

This one the blocks are 2 inch finished.  It's still a work in progress as it has not told me to stop yet.

Eye Fooler

I attached the last regular row onto Liz and Bills quilt top yesterday.  This picture is a teaser for Liz as she will not see it until it is done.  This is a good representation of the fabrics and colors.

Disregard the rug and litter box.  I am in the middle of a bathroom renovation and space is limited.

I found this top in the massive block pile.  I have other blocks.  Do I make it bigger or make another with the other blocks?

Sweet Maestro chillin.

Sew something today.

Weekend Update

It's been a busy weekend here.  One day I worked on Liz's red, pink and cream eye fooler.  I have nine blocks completed.  Each block is around 20 inches.  I also have all the pieced sashing and connector blocks done.  Now I need to figure if it needs to be bigger.  Wish I could show you but Liz would peek lol.

I put together another baby quilt, quilted it, bound it and it is waiting for a label and stitching down the binding.

And the back which is flannel.

I finally got an opportunity to play with my mini eye fooler quilt.

The components of these blocks contain two inch finished pieces.  I love this pattern in batiks.  There is something about working on these that makes me smile.  The quilt has not told me how big it will be.  So until then I will happily piece and SMILE!

I hope you took time to relax and stitch this weekend.

Winner

A couple of weeks ago
Teresa had a pattern give away to celebrate her new appliqué patterns. These are the four I patterns I selected.

I finished up this quilt last night at eleven pm. It's been on the quilt frame since last weekend. I have worked on it every night this week. It screamed custom with a sea weed theme. The outer border and back are sharks :-)

I did not use the stitch regulator at. It's all free motion!

I used a Ipad app called Skitch to test out different designs. You take a picture and then mark away until you get the look and feel you want.

Time to get my day started.

QOV and Pick a Pile Of Blocks

I quilted this QOV yesterday and in the process learned a few more things.

Many of you know that I will stitch blocks until the cows come home.... This stack was the start of another I Fooler quilt, but after making 12 blocks I decided I did not like the size. It was abandoned in that pile of blocks. I needed a boy quilt (sibling of a baby) and this fit.

I am anxious to try out some Jamie Wallen quilting techniques on this one. Like he says "it's my play time".

Stitch a few and find serenity.
