H2H Sketch Challenge...

Yayyyy...my FAVORITE part about any Monday is H2H Challenges...and THIS TIME we have a wonderful CTMH Sketch for you to try!

Here's my take on the sketch...which is originally a 2-page spread but I used to make this one-page layout featuring my daughter and a couple of pictures taken with SnapChat...

-----------------------------------------
I used the Boutique line fo bring out the pinks and girly little flowers....

I hope you'll stop by the H2H Blog and check out the other DT Members and what they've done with the sketch...and if you're inspired, I hope you'll play along with us!

Beautiful Together...

I {{{love}}} finding extra ways to use my CTMH stamps! And...this month's SOTM, Thanks & Giving, is a perfect example!

Here's a look at a layout I did using the backside of the heart image in Thanks & Giving to make a background for these beautiful kiddos...
-------------------------------------------------------
The Boutique line coupled with Sugar Plum and gold sequins is heavenly...and I used the Shimmer Brush to add a little sparkle to that one heart!
----------------------------------------
I am STILL LOVING...and STILL USING the Thin Cuts - Decorative Borders on almost EVERYTHING I create these days...LOVE!!!
----------------------------------------------
And, I hid my journalling as always...

I posted a video showing you how versatile this stamp set is by stamping with the backside of a couple of images. It can be found on my FB VIP Group! If you're not a member yet, order anything from my website and I'll add you!

Thanks for stopping by...have a GREAT rest-of-the-week!

Thanks & Giving SOTM Blog Hop...

HAPPY OCTOBER, everyone! After getting a TASTE of Fall last week, I am so ready for cooler temperatures, crisp air, leaves falling and NO MOSQUITOES...hehehehehe.

Well, you all know what October 1st means...a NEW Stamp of the Month from CTMH...and this one is all about Thanks & Giving!

To give you TONS of inspiration this month, I am joining 23 other consultants and we are going to overload your Pinterest Boards with cards, tags & layouts! The hop is one big circle so you should hop until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME! If this isn't your first stop, you should be coming from Vickie's Blog and if you get lost along the way, you can always see a complete list of participants {{{here}}}.

Now...let's get on to the FUN stuff! I made a layout using Boutique (I know...I'm still hooked on the soft colors even though Grateful Heart would totally go with this set!)...I added the new Watercolor Impressions (A NEW FAVORITE) to add some background color to the white base...

I used zip strips, the washi Complements and a string of Gold Sequin Ribbon for the side...

Those adorable little flowers come with the Thanks & Giving stamp set and I inked them up with SURGARPLUM ink and Charcoal as the outline image...ADORBS!!!

I just LOVE how that fringe makes this layout...it's made using our NEW Thin Cuts - Decorative Borders...you guys, the borders this come with are VERSATILE and if you HOST A PARTY, you can get this for 50% off with a qualifying party!!!

And...here is the picture I need to have printed in 4x4 format...and if you notice, I hid my journaling on the pull-out tag which was made from one of the PML cards. This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago for my mom's birthday...those other two people are my siblings (in case you couldn't tell...lol)

Thanks for stopping by...I really appreciate see all your faces :0) Don't forget to leave some love and then head on over to Michelle's Blog and see what she has to share!

Color My Heart Color Dare #311 - Boutique Tent Card...

I was able to stow away in my craft room this weekend and get some CREATING done...one thing on my check list was create a card using the current Color My Heart Color Dare. The colors can be found in CTMH's new line, BOUTIQUE, which I have had on my table for weeks creating things with it!

I also wanted to play AGAIN with my NEW Shaker Window & Confetti Thin Cuts (LOVE these things)...the result is TWO cards with different elements, equally FUN and GORGEOUS...

-------------------------------------------
As you can see from this photo...this card doesn't 'open' and is meant to display on a desk or something. And...the Loose Sequins in Gold coupled with the start confetti that is a result of die cutting the Shaker Window & Confetti Thin Cuts makes these shaker windows mesmerizing...

---------------------------------------------
On the first card, I also used the Thin Cuts - Decorative Borders to create the tassels! The first card, I used two pieces of acetate that come with the Shaker Foam & Acetate. For the second card, I used one piece of acetate and then cut a 3x3 piece of Gold Polka Dot acetate from the Gold Fundamentals and I opted to use the Peacock Stitched Ribbon which both are currently in the CLEARANCE section of my website (GO GRAB THEM NOW...such a good deal!!!)

And...I did a video showing how to make a tent card...BUT....it's sideways...lol. I know...I know...one who does video tutorials SHOULD know how to record....hahahahahaha. Well, to my defense, I checked to make sure the video was going to record the right way...something must've happened before I started to record that changed it back.

If you'd like to watch sideways, here you go...sooooo sorry! Also...please go check out the Color My Heart Color Dare Blog and play along with the current challenge...the colors are sooooo pretty!

Just Because...

JUST BECAUSE:

- it's Wednesday
- Boutique is GORGEOUS
- I needed an excuse to make a card
- a card doesn't use as much of this BEAUTIFUL paper as a layout would (thus more to hoard save for later)
- just because

I made this card over the weekend because I've been DYING to ink up these GORGEOUS flowers that come with the Bunches of Love stamp set. I used some NEW inks - PEACH, SAGE, MINT & SUGARPLUM and threw in some Peacock and black as well...finally used my micro-tip scissors to fussy cut around the flowers and adhered using liquid glass (left the leaves without adhesive so they can curl up on the edges...

Holiday Expressions Blog Hop...

Welcome to the 2nd full week in September...if that doesn't make you feel like Christmas will be here ASAP, I'm not sure what will!

One thing I am glad about it being September already is A NEW HOLIDAY EXPRESSIONS for us to pore over and order all the pretty things...lol. To help you see some snippets into this Holiday Expressions, twenty-one CTMH Consultants have come together to have a Blog Hop showing you various things we've fallen in LOVE with!

This blog hop is much like our SOTM Blog Hops in that it's a round-robin type hop...you get on where can and hop 'till you get back to where you started! If my blog isn't your first stop, you should be coming from Carrie's Blog

I have LOTS of goodies to show you guys from my Extravaganza presentation but I decided to make something from scratch for the occasion. The Boutique line has become one of my FAVORITES and I'm really not sure why because I'm not a flowery person but these colors and delicate flowers just tug at my creative strings!

Here's a look at a layout I made using the Boutique line and some stamp sets...

------------------------------------------------
I started with 2x2 squares of the GORGEOUS B&T papers then separated the squares by stamping one of the border stamps in the Boutique Card-Making stamp set. I used the NEW Watercolor Impressions stamp set to add some color behind the "you make my heart happy" sentiment...
--------------------------------------
I also used the Bunches of Love stamp set and the Boutique Puffy Stickers for this flower...see what I mean about "delicate"...I used our NEW Peach & Mint Inks for this flower and I'm soooo in LOVE with the result!

Now, all that's left to do is find somewhere to hide some journalling...might even let my QT tell me what to write since this photo is so dear to him!

Thanks for hopping by...your next stop on this CREATIVE train is the talented Darlys....go see what she has to share and leave some LOVE along the way!

Just Treats SOTM Blog Hop...

Welcome to my Blog...we have quite the TREATS for you today...sit back and relax and enjoy hopping through this month's SOTM Blog Hop featuring Just Treats!

We only have 22 consultants participating this month so the inspiration will come fast and furious! If you've come from Kimberly's Blog, you're on the right track...keep on hopping 'till you get back to where you started. If you're starting here...WELCOME!

I have a card to share with you...but not just any card. It's one of those cards that started out as something FANTASTIC then took some major wrong turns and 3 hours (YES...THREE HOURS) later, I'm left with a little less than fantastic card but at least it's pretty with all its BOUTIQUE paper and colors!

----------------------------------------------
My focal piece was made using our NEW Thin Cuts - Shaker Window & Confetti die and parts of the sentiment were colored in using our NEW Watercolor Pencils...
------------------------------------------
The little hidden gem on this card is revealed when you pull the Peacock Stitched Ribbon (on CLEARANCE NOW...it's so nice to work with, I had to grab me several spools before it's gone)...
---------------------------------------------------------------
Here's what is revealed when you pull the ribbon...

-------------------------------------------------------------------
And, the inside was super simple...took one of the PML Cards that comes with the BOUTIQUE PAPER PACKET and stamped the tiny little flowers from the SOMT then used our NEW Watercolor Pencils to very messily color over the circle flowers...

Thanks for stopping by...you can head on over to Michelle's Blog to keep the hop moving!
