Hello Pumpkin DELUXE...

taken from ctmh's blog...

Treat Yourself to a Deluxe Scrapbooking Experience!

There are as many different approaches to memory keeping as there are memory keepers. We celebrate every approach and believe that whatever approach gets your stories told and your memories preserved is the best! For some that means pictures and pocket cards tucked into an Everyday Life™ album; for others it means putting together a pre-cut Cut Above® layout; for others, memory keeping also doubles as an artistic outlet incorporating different crafting techniques on a 12″ x 12″ paper canvas. Deluxe scrapbooking workshops provide this kind of creative experience for anyone who wants to add a little more “oomph” to the pages of their scrapbook.
Our Holiday Expressions idea book introduced the first two deluxe scrapbooking workshops, which featured the Boutique and ‘Tis the Season collection. Earlier this month we released a third workshop featuring the Hello Pumpkin papers used in decidedly non-Halloween artwork. Here, see for yourself:

As you can see, this workshop guides you in the creation of two 2-page scrapbook layouts and two single-page scrapbook layouts, all in the 12″ x 12″ size. Each layout is made using a few papercrafting techniques, such as folding, angled cuts, and creative use of Thin Cuts dies to achieve unique effects. Take this scrapbook page, for example:

There’s a lot happening on this page, but we’d like to draw your attention primarily to the circle and heart right in the center of the page. Here’s a quick look at the technique that went into creating this accent.
A Deluxe Scrapbooking Experience #CTMH #CloseToMyHeart #CTMHHelloPumpkin #HelloPumpkin #scrapbooking #scrapbookingworkshop #papercraftingtechnique #scrapbook #memorykeeping #ThinCuts #diecut #cuttlebug
Starting with a 2¾” square of Peach cardstock, we used the 2¼” stitched circle die to cut only half of a circle. The trick to only cutting half of a shape is all about how you feed the die through your machine. As you can see in the photo above, only part of the circle is sandwiched between the plates, resulting in a partial cut like this:
Thanks to our beautiful two-toned cardstock, when you fold back the cut part, you get a lightly contrasting color. We then layered this piece over a piece of Ballerina cardstock to add another shade and topped it off with the adorable heart sticker. Neat, right? And that technique is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our deluxe scrapbooking. Take a closer look at the other layouts you’ll make as part of this workshop:

The helpful instructions that accompany the workshop show you how to replicate each technique, guiding you step-by-step through the creative process. If you’d like to try something new for your memory keeping, we invite you to check out the Hello Pumpkin Deluxe Scrapbooking Workshop, and see what deluxe scrapbooking is all about!

Pumpkin Spice and NOTHING Nice...

Welcome to this week's H2H Challenge featuring everything PSL!

I'm not a fan of pumpkin unless it's in pie...lol...but this year, I thought I'd give it a try. I went into my local starbucks, asked if I could have a sample (which was pretty generous, I might add) and it tasted alright. Sooooo, I decided to order a Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte. It was "okay" for a few sips and then the pumpkin FLAVORING and "spice" got a little too much. I also drink my coffee pretty much black so all the sweetness was an OVERLOAD for me.

I love that scrapbooking allows to tell this story in pictures AND in gorgeous Grateful Heart paper and Sequins...

---------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to create a FUN element to my coffee cup (cut using the Artistry Cricut Collection) so I added a Shaker Window and more sequins! I also HAD to alter the saying on the PML Card from Hello Pumpkin because this PSL was NOT "everything nice"...lol

-------------------------------------------------------
I used our NEW Texture Paste to create a fun border AND the Loose Gold Sequins stuck to the wet paste and I filled in the holes later by using Liquid Glass to adhere them...

Thanks for stopping by...I hope you'll go visit the H2H Blog and see what the other DT Members created AND play along with us!

Mini-Album Tutorial...

I made a FRIGHTFUL little mini-album from one 12x12 sheet of B&T and some scrap Complements and embellishments from the NEW Hello Pumpkin line...I got so many questions about it so I decided to make a video showing you how to make your own!

Here are the pictures of the one I made...

And...here's the video showing you how using the BOUTIQUE line...instead of sewing down the middle, I show you how to use liquid glass...enjoy!

Thanks for visiting me for another H2H Challenge...this week's challenge is a color one and it's GOOD!!!

Here's a look at the colors...if you don't have these exact CTMH colors, it's all good...just use a CTMH stamp or some paper on your project to qualify your submission!

And...here's a look at my card using the NEW Hello Pumpkin line which is perfect for Halloween or even a Fall-ish pumpkin like this one using the Hello Pumpkin-Cardmaking stamp set...

Thanks for stopping by! And, don't forget, you have the entire month of October to play along with us over on the H2H Blog.

Full of Miss-Chief...

As some of you may know, we have this little girl in the midst of a BUNCH OF BOYS...lol..well, she definitely can hold her own and this layout displays just that!

I used the NEW Hello Pumpkin line from CTMH which is supposed to be predominantly Halloween but as you can see in this layout, you can totally make it not so...

------------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up...

I used the Stitched Alphabet to hide the word "SCARY" on the Lagoon-colored PML to the right of the photo grid...the title is made using Erin's Hand (a NEW favorite of mine)...

And...I used the NEW Thin Cuts - Shaker Windows & Confetti to make various circles...everything else is Hello Pumpkin paper & Complements...

Here's a look at the products I used...all of which can be purchase on my website {{{here}}}

So Proud...

I absolutely LOVE doing sports layout but by the time you're finished with a kid's High School activities, you feel like you will die if you see another orange & blue page...am I right!?!?! Coupled with the fact that our 2 oldest are pretty much back-to-back High Schoolers but I LOVE how this layout came together.

It is one I made for my Extravaganza presentation this Summer in Vegas and, believe it or not, it's using HALLOWEEN paper...our NEW line, Hello Pumpkin.

Take a look and let me know what you think...
--------------------------------------------------
And...I used the NEW stamp set, So Proud of You for the "title" if you will. To make it non-Halloweeney, I covered all the black lines of the B&T with Bluebird Cardstock...believe or not, it wasn't that time-consuming...

Thanks for stopping by...keep on coming back as I share more artwork from EXTRAVAGANZA as well as some FABULOUS new artwork!
