Home Decor in Your Stash - UYSBH...

Welcome to this month's UYSBH.  This month we are creating Home Decor items with stuff we have in our stash!

If you're coming from Janet's Blog, you're on the right track...keep on hopping 'till you've visited everyone...shouldn't take long, there are only 4 of us this month!

I made this 8-1/2" x 11" wall hanging designed to resemble one of those painted panel signs that are so popular right now.

-----------------------------------------------
The Wood-Grain Paper is from Timberline PP which is retired but I've hoarded...lol.  The pumpkin is a stamped image I stamped a month ago to use on something else and never got around to doing it.  The stamp set is also retired from CTMH.

The Fall Phrases come from PPPR and were cut a week ago for one of my DT posts but I went with THIS instead!

To get a realistic look, I adhered the wood-grain B&T on top of 2 sheets of Cardstock so when I cut the strips and adhered them to my base cardstock, there would be some dimension. I would've got the same effect if I used Thin 3D-Foam Tape but I didn't want to waste it on such a large area.

Here's some helpful tips...

If you've come from Terry's Blog, you're on the right track...keep hopping around 'till you've seen all 6 Blogs.

My card is truly a use your stash because this card is actually from 2010...

I stamped a bunch of Dimensional Elements Stars then glued them onto some Crystal Blue (retired) Cardstock.  I added a darker blue (Pacifica) for my sentiment and some Sunset ribbon and clear buttons backed with Sunset Cardstock.  A shimmer brad is in the center of the buttons to add some bling!

Thanks for stopping by...hop on over to Casandra's Blog and see what she has to share using Chipboard.

Hope we inspired you to USE YOUR STASH this month!!!

Ribbon, Ribbon Who's Got the Ribbon - UYSBH...

Welcome to this month's USE YOU STASH BLOG HOP (UYSBH)...and it's all about RIBBON!!!

If you've come from Terry's Blog, you're on the right track!!!  Keep on hopping 'till you've seen all 6 blogs that are participating this month!

Now...this blog hop is all about using your STASH so I pulled out some of my favorite retired ribbon and made two cards.

Here's my first using Satin Polkadot Ribbon, Whisper Cardstock, Black Glitter Paper, the NEW Artfully Sent Cartridge (the tie is designed to be a PML card and I just resized it smaller to fit on this 5x5 card) and threw in some Silver Sequins.  The "Congratulations" sentiment is from one of the 3 stamp set you get with the Artfully Sent Cartridge.

---------------------------------------------------------
I used Base & Bling Adhesive Strips to attach the ribbon to my card and I pop-dotted the black tie focal piece with our Thin 3D-Foam Tape!
------------------------------------------------
And here's my second...still using Artfully Sent - this time with some retired Tulle Ribbon, some NEW Black Striped Twill, Purple Glitter Paper and the Scaredy Cat Paper Packet.  The little spider is cut from the Artbooking Cartridge and he's pop-dotted with Thin 3D-Foam Tape.  I know spiders have more eyes that just 2 but this little guy needed something and eyes seemed fitting :0)

---------------------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up of the Tulle behind the web cutout from the Artfully Sent...another PML-intended card but I resized it smaller.
------------------------------------------------------
This inside sentiment is from the Artbooking Cartridge and the word "Happy" is from one of the stamps sets that comes with the Artfully Sent Cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by....I hope you got some ideas for your own Ribbon STASH!!!

Now hop on over to Shirley's Blog and see what RIBBON project she has to share!

Mix Media with UYSBH...

Welcome to this month's Use Your Stash Blog Hop where we show you what's been hanging around our craft rooms and hope to inspire you to use up your stash!

If you've come from Theresa's Blog, you're on the right track!!!

This month's theme is Mixed Media...which means you can use varying types of scrapbooking supplies.  I chose to use paper (of course), sequins (metal I guess you could say) and paint.

This card is a 4" x 6" card...one of my favorites if I'm not layering a bunch of B&T because it's easy to cut!

 --------------------------------------
I've been eyeing and pinning some artwork that uses Gesso. And I knew there had to be some way to make it using CTMH products!  So...I came up with Pearl Paint (retired) and White Embossing Powder (the kind I used is retired)...one part each.
---------------------------------
Mix it up and paint it on...don't worry about it getting outside the "lines"...it only makes it looker cooler!  I used my stash of old Cricut cuts...an extra row of stars used for this card!
-----------------------------------------
I used some PML cards from the Babycakes Kit...a 2"x3" on the bottom of the front and a larger 4"x6" on the inside (you'll see that down below)...
-------------------------------------------------
Here's a peek at the side...I pop-dotted the front PML card using CTMH's NEW Thin 3D-Foam Tape...LOVE THAT STUFF!!!
----------------------------------------------
And here's a look at the inside...I just cut the top off a 4"x6" PML card so I could mimic the Gold Shimmer Trim on the inside bottom just like the front.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed seeing me use up some of my stash...some of which has been in there for years!

You can hop on over to Shirley's Blog...she's the start of thing so if you started somewhere in the middle, you can catch up.

Begin your Summer Recycle with UYSBH...

This month's UYSBH (Use Your Stash Blog Hop) is all about recycling!!!

If you've come from the very talented, Wendy Kessler, then you're well on your way to being amazed by all the recycling and reusing!

I have PLENTY to recycle and reuse in my scrapbook room but this little heart box that my daughter has colored on has been calling me.  It wanted to be pretty so I decided to dress it up with the retiring Ariana Paper Packet!

------------------------------------
Here she is all pretty...

------------------------------
And...there's a little surprise inside...

---------------------------------
And...the "shreds" inside are also recycled...they're made from tiny 1/4" strips of Ariana B&T...our husbands KNOW that we have TONS of scraps laying around our scrapbook rooms!

Thanks for hopping by...you can hop on over to Shirley's Blog now and see what she's done with something we all have around the house and a bunch of BLING!!!!
