Monthly Scribblers Showcase for January

Hey folks!  It is a brand new year and we hope that you'll find lots of creative inspiration over here at Scribbles Designs. Right now, it is that time of month where we showcase the projects that our inspiration team has created, along with any extra creations our full time team members or any guests may have had the chance to create during the past four weeks.

This time around, Janice, Carol and Diane Louise from our inspiration team, all have projects to share with us. Take a look at what these ladies have been up to...

Have you been inspired to create?!
Don't forget to share your own Scribbles Designs creations with us.

If you enjoyed any of these projects, our designers would love a visit.
You can find each of their personal blogs by clicking on their respective header.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the images featured in today's post,
click on the names to find them in the store.

Well, that is it for this Extra Inspiration post.

Before you go though...

If you haven't had the opportunity to participate in our 7th Birthday Celebration yet, you can find the first post published on Jan. 15th, with further details of our seven years in business, the challenge link up and prize list for that challenge, by clicking HERE to check it out. Then, from Jan. 16th to the 21st, we presented a Letter Hunt for Birthday Event #2, a fun activity to continue the festivities. For details on our Letter Hunt click HERE to start from the beginning. There are some great prizes to be won and while all the letters have now been released, you have until January 31st to participate; so, be sure to check it out as well.

Additionally, I will continue to pop in every so often throughout the next three weeks with some more surprises planned for our special birthday celebration. So, be sure to visit us every once and awhile until February 14th to ensure that you don't miss any of our birthday related events! Better yet, sign up to receive our posts by email or through Bloglovin' to keep up with all things Scribbles Designs!

Happy crafting until we meet again!

Challenge #69: Pick a Patterned Paper

Challenge #69
Pick a Patterned Paper

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Scribbles Designs Challenge blog. Whether you are new or one of our regulars, we are so thankful that you are here with us on our little spot in blogland. It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for our next challenge to get started! Our theme this month is Pick a Patterned Paper and here is what you need to know to join us...

In our everyday lives we come across patterns everywhere we look. When we first open our eyes in the morning until the moment we close them at the end of the day, there are a myriad of patterns to grab our attention. Subtle patterns and bold ones, small ones and large ones too. Everything from the clothing we wear, to the bedding and linens we use, to the choices in our wall coverings and furniture, all say something about our design style. As crafters we often use a selection of patterns in our design creations as well. For the next month, we have decided that it would be fun to focus not so much on the image that is generally used as a focal point in our projects, but to instead direct our attention to the patterned paper(s) that we use as a backdrop. Thus, for this challenge, if you want to be eligible for any of our prizes, please choose from one or more of the following patterns for your main background paper(s): dots, stripes, plaids, chevrons, or diamonds.

Our incredibly talented women are here to share their inspiring creative work featuring projects related to our Pick a Patterned Paper theme. We hope that you will enjoy the Scribbles Designs images and the creative direction that ensues.

Any questions about the challenge? Please read our Challenge Rules located in the right sidebar.

If you would like to purchase a Scribbles Designs image, please click HERE.

Our freebie for this challenge is going to be a bit different. Normally, Sandy would be providing you with an image freebie. This challenge though, since the focus is not on any type of image but rather a background paper, we thought that we'd share a digital paper that you can use for participating if you would like...

Scribble Doodle Designs Polka Dot Patterned Paper

Another creation under the Scribble Doodle Designs label! Today's paper is twelve inches by twelve inches (3600 pixels x 3600 pixels) as opposed to the usual 6 in. size for freebies. If you are a card maker, you can easily resize it smaller to suit your purposes. It is in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Rhonda Tonkinson (Eyeinspire) and Elif Sahin (Pixel Scrapper). I have also been inspired by a colour palette available from Design Seeds. To grab today's offering, click the download button to be taken to a download location. In the zip folder you will find a copy of the creation, the preview sheet, the full credit information and the Scribble Doodle Designs terms of use which are standard to all of our folders.

This month's prizes...

  • Top Scribbler (chosen randomly) receives $10 worth of digital images
  • Top 3 (chosen by Design Team) receives $3 worth of digital images
  • Gold Star (chosen by Design Team) receives $3 worth of digital images

Challenge #54: Holiday Hoopla

Challenge #54
Holiday Hoopla

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Scribbles Designs Challenge blog. Whether you are new or one of our regulars, we are so thankful that you are here with us on our little spot in blogland. It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for our next challenge to get started! Our theme this month is Holiday Hoopla and here is what you need to know to join us...

We're almost halfway through the year. We've celebrated a few holidays and occasions so far including New Year's, Valentine's and Easter, and there are a few still to go including Halloween and Christmas. So, we thought this month was the perfect month to create any type of holiday card you'd like. Whether you want to get a patriotic card ready for the upcoming Canada Day (July 1st) or Independence Day (celebrated in the US on July 4th) celebrations, or you want to get ahead and get a Hallowe'en or Christmas card made, it is totally up to you. There are so many holidays and occasions to choose from and several rather obscure ones as well; so, we look forward to seeing the holiday direction your card takes!

Our incredibly talented women are here to share their inspiring creative work featuring projects related to our Holiday Hoopla theme. We hope that you will enjoy the Scribbles Designs images and the creative direction that ensues.

Any questions about the challenge? Please read our Challenge Rules located in the right sidebar.
