BIOGRAPHY
The Twisters with Alice Violato blend different styles together and have forged a sound of their own, that recalling r'n'b is looking forward to manifold genres like jazz, funky and blues. In 2014 they released a new album "MusicOdyssey" featuring 10 original songs; a blasting exposure of all the influences of the band, in which reinterpreted episodes from the Homeric epic and tales of love and solitude are merged to genuine effort of representing a new and creative sound.
"No Ordinary Blues" (2011) is the first recording since the blues singer Alice Violato entered the band in September 2010.
Pleasantly acclaimed by many blues authorities, it provided a valuable account to access to some of the most important Blues Festival in Italy in 2011, such as Torrita Blues Festival (XXIII edition), Pordenone Blues Festival (XX edition), Trend & Blues (X edition), Delta Blues (XXV edition) and a number of relevant shows throughout the peninsula as well.
The album presents a renovated sound for the band, revealing self-confidence in relaxed mood tracks and in soul filled standard blues. "Blowing the Blues everywhere" (2007) is the first release of the band, featuring 8 original songs. The album was awarded with several prizes and gained an opening act for Solomon Burke in 2009.
