Memphis Train

(2CD)

 BIOGRAPHY
After a first record that served to lay the foundations of their sound, the Memphis Train musicians from Madrid returned to the studio to present Beatin 'Around the Blues, a tour of the origins and the sound of black music, making a special stop at The blues stations and the R & B. Not long ago Highway 61 or Route of the Blues was an essential and fundamental route that should know anyone who considered himself a lover of black music.

This route, which crossed the southern United States in search of new sounds and influences, made a special stop in Memphis, birthplace of the blues and source of inspiration of this group from Madrid, who has found in this genre musical identity and reason be.

And is that after presenting and turning throughout Spain with his debut album No buts, No Maybes, Memphis Train has decided to give a twist to his sound, add more coal to his railway machinery including new elements to his musical repertoire and getting closer If it fits the southern sound of the blues.

The experience is a degree and after the tour made with his previous album, Memphis Train has found the formula to incorporate to his sound more musical wealth. And this without neglecting its essence: the black music that exploded in the North American South in the middle of the century.

Because the influence of the great classics of the blues (see Otis Rush, BB King, Sean Costello, Muddy Waters, ...) is always present in their music, even if the Madrid group adds its own sound and identity. So we can perceive it in the twelve songs that make up this Beatin 'Around the Blues, their second album of study in which they have put "more time, more affection, more dedication and we can not be more happy", according to words of the own group.
