BIOGRAPHY
Although Willie Foster was a noted bluesman and accomplished harmonica participant in his very own correct, he’s best-known for using alongside various other blues greats, specifically Muddy Waters. Foster uncovered the blues and bought his initial harmonica as a guy in the ’20s, so that as a teenager fulfilled Waters, who he’d play with on / off through the entire years.
But Foster didn’t receive his initial paying out musical gig before ’50s, when he started playing at a St. Louis nightclub. It had been during that 10 years that Waters and Foster performed a concert jointly at NY City’s famous Carnegie Hall. Four day after he performed at an exclusive party in Jackson, TN, on, may 19, 2001, Foster passed on from an obvious heart attack.
