Rick Tobey is an accomplished singer-songwriter, guitarist and “Blues Man” . He recently moved to Wilmington, NC from Louisiana, where he played in clubs in and around New Orleans as a solo artist and with his band "Too Much Coffee”.
He was a featured perfomer at several 2003 festivals including the Cape Fear Blues Festival, the Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues, & Jazz Festival, Celebrate the Arts, Front Street @ 3, and Riverfest.
He plays as a solo act or with the CHICKENHEAD BLUES BAND and may be seen playing “da chickenhead blues” at Wilmington area clubs such as The Ice House, The Whiskey, Water Street, The Rusty Nail, Port City Java, etc.
He recorded a live blues CD at the Rusty Nail Saloon on Valentine's Day, 2003 entitiled "LUV'N THE BLUES" which is available at gigs. He is currently working on a studio recording to be released this spring (2004).
He also writes and records Electronic Rock, Trance, & Techno music under the name CYBERSCAPE.
