Thanks for checking in everyone. We are still doing fantastic. Kayla is now 9 days old and already we can see her changing so much. Her pictures from bith compared to now look like a different baby. Im really not looking forward to her growing up so fast. Cant she stay newborn for a few more months???

Yesterday was Kayla's first time grocery shopping! She did great. Slept the whole entire time. She is still sleeping all night. She will eat at about 10 pm then sleep until about 2:30 am for a feed. Then up at about 6 am for a feed which then she goes right back to sleep until about 8 am. She is such a good baby. We are so incredibly lucky.

Tomorrow will be her first visit with Aunt Ellen. I cant wait for Nick's Aunt Ellen to see Kayla. She is so excited!!

Last night was our first "projectile poopie." I had no idea such a little body could poopie so hard. LOL! Her diaper was loaded. So I layed her on bed ready to clean her up and put her in the tub for her night time bath. I took of her diaper, wiped her butt once with a baby wipe and out it flew. Im so glad Nick saw it all or noone would have believed me of the extent of this poopie. All the way down the bed, over my arm and onto the floor within 2 seconds. It was HALARIOUS!! LOL!

My my I saw how conversations change when you become a mommy.

Above are pictures from yesterday taken by my photographer husband. Enjoy!! Click the pictures to enlarge.

  1. I am LOVING the pictures!!!! I think I saw a pic of Nick's camera on a different page? It looks like the same camera we have. Heather is constantly learning new things about it... just last week she learned how to do a little bit of flash, but not too much.. and she's been trying the manual settings with the babies in the park. It's a great camera and takes some wonderful photos. I can't wait to see more shots of this little beauty!

  3. Oh Michelle - you made my day!! So happy it's all working out. Ah poopies, just wait for the projectile vomiting. And yes, funny how moms can talk about poop and pee and all sorts of gross bodily functions as if it were nothing! Welcome, welcome my dear to the new club!! So very happy you are joining us!! She's just adorable - she's part Hispanic yes? My son is 1/2 Puerto Rican.

How wonderful that she is sleeping so well.
The poop experience. Isn't it great. It is amazing the things we can go through for our kids. Glad it wasn't projectile vomiting.

  8. Loved seeing all the pictures. It's amazing how big she looked just a few days ago on the scale because she looks so tiny in that last picture you posted. Beautiful photos -- and beautiful family. I'm so happy for you!
