Uniko's Top 25 Products of 2025 - Number 4

Happy Sunday.

I'm getting close to revealing the number one product of 2025, but today I have the number 4 top selling product of 2025 determined by sales. And that is Background Blocks Mid Century Modern.

Again, I am delighted to see this stamp in the top 25, especially when it was released way back in May 2019.

I've been a bit slack on creating this past week or so, I've been caught up tidying and organising the studio. Plus purging lots of crafty stuff I've not used for a while. You can check out what I am selling over on my Vinted profile HERE

So, again today I am sharing some of my favourite makes using this stamp.

Just like many of the Background Blocks in the Uniko inventory, this one is perfect for those masculine makes. Use it as an instant focal point background stamped singly, or as an all over pattern like I have done on this first card.

Here I have paired the background with the Stencil - Mid Century Modern Shapes and Alphabet Outlined.

The stamp is also fun to use in a more abstract way, like I have on these next two cards. Plus it is easily feminised with flowers, especially Mid Century Modern Florals.

This stamp isn't going anywhere and will be back as soon as possible. Plus, it is definitely on my list to ink up more next year and I am sure it will appear in a fun feature I have planned for 2026.

I need your help in making some room on the shelves in the studio for restocks and newness coming in 2026.

If you're not signed up to the Uniko Newsletter you might not have seen this BLOWOUT SALE! It's not one to be missed.

I'll be back tomorrow with number 3 of the top 25 of 2025.

Technique Two For Tuesday - Background Blocks Christmas Scramble

Happy Tuesday.

I finally feel like I am settling into routine and found a little bit of creative mojo. Anyone else struggle when they've had a holiday?

Anyway, let's have a look at what I created for today...

Since seeing the Brand Ambassadors use the paper piecing technique with this stamp, Background Blocks Christmas Scramble, I've been wanting to do it too!

I decided to dive into my pattern paper bit box, something I rarely do and came across scraps of this Swiss dot paper from Papertrey Ink. I've had these scraps for years.

As I was fussy cutting and adhering the letters, it got me to thinking how I could use the Background Block Swiss Dots, to create a similar look.

So that's what I did for my second card.

For this I heat embossed the Swiss Dots background onto white card using VersaMark and Clear Gloss EP. I then inked over with Dragonfruit, Sweet Pea, Buttercup, Parsley, Oceanside & Midnight. Again fussy cutting and adhering using foam tape.

I could have achieved the same look by doing solid colours on more stamped and embossed Background Blocks Swiss Dots backgrounds, but I quite like this ink blended look.

Although I love both, I can't decide which I prefer. Which do you prefer?

Thanks for stopping by.

Celebrate With Background Blocks Bauhaus

Hello & Happy Tuesday.

Today I have a quick card using the Background Blocks Bauhaus stamp which was released back in August.

This stamp, like all the Background Blocks, is great for quick cards and adding fun patterns.

I stamped the block twice across the top of my white card panel (9.5 x 13cm) in VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink.

I then used a trio of Stampin' Up! Markers in Pretty Peacock, Not Quite Navy and Grapefruit Grove to colour some of the semi circles.

I finished by adhering the panel to a Concord & 9th Sorbet card base and added a fussy cut celebrate from Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments. Plus a trio of Midnight enamel dots.

A restock of this stamp, all of the July, August and the popular Mid Century Modern collection is due in the studio week beginning 22rd August, so not long to wait now.

Plus I will have sorted the new USA shipping following the tariffs by then too.

Swiss Dots & Bright Spring Blossom Card & Video

Happy Monday.

I thought I would start the week of with another fun Background Blocks Swiss Dots and stencil combination.

Remember THESE cards I shared pairing the Background Blocks Swiss Dots and Layering Picked Posies. Well, I fancied trying something similar with different colours and a different stencil.

I chose the Layering Spring Blossom stencil along with a current favourite colour combination of Wildberry, Plumberry and Rainforest. I also used VersaFine Clair Morning Mist to stamp the Swiss Dots.

You can watch the video HERE where I embark on this creative adventure.

And here is the end result...

A different result for sure and maybe a little too busy for my usual liking. But it was fun to create and experiment with different colours and combinations.

That's all from me today, have a wonderful Monday.

Introducing... Background Blocks Bauhaus

Happy Wednesday.

Welcome to day 2 of the Uniko August 2025 Release product introductions. Today we have another product with a retro vibe. Although Bauhaus was a design style and movement of it's own, it does fit into the same period of time and work well with the Mid Century Modern style.

So today we get to introduce you to Background Blocks Bauhaus. Perfect for an instant focal image, but this will work wonderfully with any of the Bauhaus inspired and Mid Century Modern products.

Let's see what the Brand Ambassadors have created.

How fun is this stamp? A so many beautiful makes from the Brand Ambassadors. I'm excited to use this stamp more and see more from the Brand Ambassadors over the coming days and weeks. It's always difficult to show a products full potential in one blog post!

See you tomorrow for day 3.
