Candyland Theme Topsy Turvy Cake

Kids went crazy over this one! We created a Candyland theme topsy turvy cake for a Bat Mitzvah last weekend.

The four tiers of red velvet cake have a cream cheese filling and grated white chocolate.

The cake is covered in purple fondant and decorated with all your favorite Candyland character figurines crafted painstakingly from fondant, including: King Candy, Queen Frostine, Princess Lollipop and Mister Mint, as well as candy canes, multi-colored ginger bread men and snowflakes piped in royal icing.

Delivered to the Maplewood Country Club.

Eiffel Tower Topsy Turvy Sweet Sixteen Cake

I love Paris and began my culinary studies there, so I was delighted when asked by a sweet sixteen birthday girl to design a cake incorporating a French theme, fashion and pink poodles!

We created her a three tier topsy turvy cake, topped with a golden Eiffel Tower. The bottom tier is chocolate fudge cake with dulce de leche buttercream filling, covered in a pink fondant and decorated with fondant buttons. The other tiers are vanilla cake with strawberry mousse filling. A purple bow is wrapped around the middle tier, while the top tier is purple fondant covered with green diamond shapes. A small pink handbag, shoe, a ring and a purple necklace also bring in the fashion theme.
