Hello Winter

Hi everyone!

Even though it may seem that way, winter isn't over yet!

Full of joy, the little boy slides down the snowy slope on his sled.
I created him using the paper piecing technique.
This means that you stamp the image onto different design papers, cut them out, and then put them together. So there's no need for coloring. Of course, you can add a few color accents here and there, as I did with the cap and face, but most of the time it's is not necessary.
This technique is also a great way to use up some leftover paper! ;)

The sled is die-cut from a piece of kraft cardstock that contained a few spots of melted embossing powder. The snow slopes are made of glitter cardstock, the edges of which I painted with a blue glitter pen.

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!
Today, I'm having fun with the Christmas theme because I need to replenish my stash, which is getting seriously low. - I have had little inspiration to create Christmas cards during the last two years. I think I simply overdosed on these cards and needed to take a long, long break.

I stamped the image (Crafty Individualis) with Tranquil Tide (Stampin'Up) onto a strip of kraft cardstock. Redrew the pine cone with a black fineliner, then colored the image with colored pencils. Stamped the sentiment (Penny Black) on a blank card using Early Espresso (Stampin'Up). Added gold splatters to the top. Backed the image with die-cut glitter cardstock and glued it onto the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just skating by...

Hi everyone!
Christmas is just around the corner, and I would like to remind you one last time about our current Dream Factory challenge

Candy Cane Lane
Anything Christmassy Goes

I simply stamped the polar bear onto white Bristol cardstock and added a border of glitter paper at the bottom to suggest snow. I colored it in with alcohol ink markers. Drew a candy cane, cut it out, and glued it on.
For the sentiment, I changed “scooting” to “skating.”
Finally, I splattered light blue color in the background and backed the panel with patterned paper.
Hope you like it :)

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Cup of Cheer

Hi everyone!
Christmas is getting closer and closer and I would like to briefly remind you
about our current Dream Factory challenge

Candy Cane Lane
Anything Christmassy Goes

I dry-embossed a panel of blue cardstock and glued it onto a blank card.
I then pasted on the punched-out circle with the cup, which I had colored with alcohol ink markers.
The silver circle, I die-cut from the lid of a cheese package.

Wishing you a wonderful and cozy Advent season!

Old Fashioned Candy Canes

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

Candy Cane Lane
Anything Christmassy Goes

Since I don't have a candy cane stamp, I drew one on cardboard. I cut it out and used it as a template for all the candy canes on the card. I colored the canes with alcohol ink markers and a white Posca pen.
The text comes from a paper pad. I just added a touch of pink and green color and bordered it with a gold gel pen.

Kleiner Gruss zum Advent

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

The theme is Anything Goes w/optional twist: Any Holiday".
(create something for any Holiday)

The year is already half over and I have to start thinking about making Christmas cards because, as always, the few months until the end of the year will go by far too quickly!
So this is my first for the year!

White on white is not easy to photograph. Here is a view from a different angle.
A jumble of silver threads, heat embossing, vellum and a wreath die-cut from glitter paper.

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

Have a nice day!
