Best friends

Hi everyone!

ATC Around the World is looking for snowmen. Here's what I came up with.

The background is from my stash. So all I had to do was punch out a snowflake from glitter cardstock and emboss the saying. Stamp, color, and cut out the snowmen—they didn't need much color anyway.

...oh, and then there also were these tiny snowflakes to stamp!

I used Wink of Stella to highlight the snow, which, as usual, you can't see at all!! Hope you like it :)

Katzelkraft - Snowman Kisses

Hi everyone!

Today is Katzelkraft day.

An ATC this time. - I love these little cards and I really enjoy designing them!

For the background of my ATC, I found what I was looking for in my stash.

- A leftover piece of gel print that was exactly the right size.

Using a stencil and texture paste, I added stars, stamped small snowflakes in between and a tiny text on the right side. Stamped the festively dressed snowman on Bristol paper and colored it first with watercolors.

I then intensified the colors with alcohol ink markers, cut out the snowman and glued it onto the ATC.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment and backed the ATC with black cardstock.

Let it Snow - ATC

Hi everyone!

A few days ago we had a card swap in our little scrap group.

Since the images on my card were ATC size, I kept one of them for the ATC Around the World challenge.

I just stamped an extra portion of snowflakes on it to make it look a little different :))

Let it Snow

Hi everyone!

I am back with a quick reminder about our current challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club.

Penguin Awareness Day

Anything Goes with Penguins

I sponged the background with Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide). Applied snowflakes using a stencil and texture paste. Added a few more snowflakes with a white pen and glued a piece of white paper at the bottom to make a kind of snow hill. Stamped the penguin, colored it a little bit and cut it out.

Die cut the letters S, N and W from white felt. Stamped the "Let it" and glued the punched letters along the snow hill, with the penguin making the O. Hope you like it.

Actually, I needed not one, but twelve cards, as our little craft group organizes a card swap two or three times a year! - The first one for this year took place last weekend! The theme was: Snow

Katzelkraft - Fairy Lights

Hi everyone!

I have the great honor of being this month's guest designer at Try it on Tuesday. The theme is: Winter Blues

I immediately thought of the snowflakes from the wonderful Christmas Snowflakes set, as my weekly Katzelkraft post is also due today.

Well, winter hasn't said its last word yet

and you can never start making winter/Christmas cards too early anyway - right?

If you want to work on your first cards for this year, Try it on Tuesday has the perfect challenge to do so!

First, I sprayed a sheet of Bristol paper with water on both sides, placed it on my work space and started to apply the colors Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves (all Distress Oxide). To do this, I used a stamp, which I re-inked each time and pressed more or less firmly onto the damp paper.

In between, I dried the colors again and again with the heat gun. Each time I moistened the paper again and applied the colors until I liked the result. Finally, I added a few splashes of color to bring more dynamics into the picture.

Now that the background was finished, I just had to stamp and emboss the snowflakes. The large snowflake in the bottom right corner is from Stampin'Up.

Last but not least, I added white and black ink splatters and stamped the sentiment. I cut the panel to size and added faux stitches before adhering it to a blank card. For this card I was very inspired by one of Yoonsun's wonderful cards.

Kindness and Love

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club!

This month we are celebrating

Penguin Awareness Day

I stamped and embossed snowflakes on a leftover piece of gel print and also added some background text and a few stars. I then cut out a penguin and hearts, colored them with alcohol ink markers and added them to the bookmark.

Attached a string on the top of the bookmark.
